  1. It's a rebate, so the normal: UPC Address Reciept Proof of purchase Blood sample fingerprint urine sample mothers maden name birth certificate semen sample Certified and notarized copy of authenticity timestamped at post office list of living relatives 3 of your own hairs of at least 4" length
  2. seen a few at WM and TRU for $38.
  3. Did not look like they were certain there either unless you saw a final answer. I was put on tomtom eternal hold, so did not get an answer calling in.
  4. 1.making groups (tech, parents of 2 yr olds, floridians, etc) to auto direct them to deals you know they are looking for, etc, 2.picture gallery-might take up a lot of server space though I would guess so dont wanna kill the board, and 3.Hooks to allow attachments to be passed through a virus scanner, gotta love more safety.
  5. Okay, has anyone found the answer as to if it is 30 days from turning the unit on, or 30 days from first connecting the unit to the internet to get downloads/registering it?
  6. No, when I scroll over it it gives me no indication that it has a sort feature, tried it and it worked wonderful, but had no idea until just now that I could. No users manual...but also it did not change my pointer to even let me know it was possible. Did you set up the processor speed listing by benchmark, or by just plain listed ghz? Just asking as we know a 1.8ghz celeron is not a 1.8ghz core2 is not a 1.8ghz amd X2 even despite speed # being equal.
  7. Ram upgrades no longer void warranties like they did years ago, it is now an expected practice.
  8. GF has an acer laptop, not had any probs with any components except it had to have the HD replaced just a few days after purchase, but it was a western digital hard drive, brand new from the "made on" date, so just goes to show you even good companies (WD) can have problems.
  9. let me look, pm me if I have not responded by mid day sunday.
  10. You can even use a work address.
  11. Was horrible, need to start from scratch next time....J/k. I think it was a good setup, but I think that instead of setting it up as being by store, maybe have it layed out so that the price was the object. So, it starts with the $299 pc, then the $315, etc on up so you know and compare whether it is worth it to spend the extra $50 or so, then worry about what store. I think your idea of setting it up as "gamer, lowend, etc" will already be worked in that way due to price, but having some nice "guides" on it would be good. i.e. "this pc is top of the line, but unless you plan on using it to watch tv, it is not worth paying the extra $150 over the next lowest model to get the remote and tv tuner card"
  12. how do you get mr t on my tom tom 3rd ed?
  13. nice contatct info, any legit info? Any results meghanduck, and what does the tracking # say now?
  14. Office depot stock #636230 and #598885 are rather decent deals for what you get.
  15. No, I got the 400GB from Staples, still deciding if I want it or not.
  16. if it is a amd laptop, you will get much better performance from matched pairs of ram (2gb) as AMD can take advantage of dual channel. Please the thread already open in tech section of forums at the bottom.
  17. drat, saw that above, but hoped we would crack 4700 on 11/22 before it was over. Thanks
  18. How many was the max this year?
  19. Anyone get the Navigon 2100 and thinking of returning it please PM me as I was unable to get on at our staples (they had like 5) and even though I was #8 in line, they did not tell people where to find them. Only the store manager knew, and people like #50 to #60 found out they were behind the desk near checkout so they got them. I was pissed that they gave out tickets for TTO, but not the navigon's.
  20. Horrible, left the store and an never going back to a target unless I am sure they are going to lose $$$$ on the deal.
  21. anyone snag the 2 nice HP desktops? for $499 and $770?
  22. yes it exists, dont listen to that guy. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3619369&lang=en
  23. Our staples was great EXCEPT: No maps, did not tell anyone that the navigons (which they did not give out tickets for) were first come first serve at the customer service desk (located right by the entrance and check-out area. So as soon as someone about #25 in line found out, no one else could get in, and no one esle from further up in the line could get back to the service desk. Me (#8 in line) had to settle for the TomTom.
  24. great machine for price.
  25. So sorry I have been out of it (I was at work and got there late due to staying up until 1:30 for the best buy online fiasco). I would recomend for that teh $500 Copusa or the $550 Circuit city laptop. You are likely too late for any of the BB laptops that are not already sold out online. out of the BB ones, I would just avoid the sony due to it's config and some build issues. I dont know if there are build issues on that particular laptop, but some of their lower end models have been having problems and not working even as well as you would expect for the low price.
