If you bought any items today for yourself, do you go ahead and use them now, or wait until Christmas?

I would like to start using my DVD recorder as soon as it comes in from BB online, but DW is going to make me wait! :fryingpan

I bought some picture frames from both Kohl's and Michaels today, along with a few decorative shelves, also a candle holder on ebay. I'm torn, I should wait until Christmas, but we'll see! ;)

I bought a 15" LCD TV, Dying to open it NOW, but I buy myself so much, I think oh, this can be my Christmas present. But if I open it now, I know my DH will want me to open something Christmas morning, and I don't want him to just buy anything, because I buy so much as it is........................Meanwhile, the LCD sits looking at me, Open, open, open........................

using my toys now....I always buy my own gifts anyway, so it wont bother me any not to have any under the tree, plus I will get to use my new camera tomorrow when we go cut down the christmas tree!!

Now to just hook up the dvr!!!!

Bought the Garth Brooks box set and am listening to it right now! Dh said "gee, what if I had wanted to wrap that for the tree?" I told him he could have the empty box :giggle:

All the shopping I did today was for myself ;) Shopping for gifts can wait! LoL I already opened everything and plan to start using it. Especially since almost everything I got has rebates, so want to make sure they work before I go cutting off the UPCs.

DW doesn't agree with me that the Staples Samsung 19" LCD is so much better than our 17" CRT monitor, that we should hook it up now!

I went to CC

The laptop is for my Wife and am setting it up to use now.

I got the Nintendo Game Cube Mario Party $99 Bundle for my daughters. that's going under the tree.

I got one of the $6.99 50 DVD-R Spindles for me. I stuck it in drawer for later use.

I tend to use things when I buy them--it seems kinda silly to buy myself a new jacket and then not wear it for a month and just be cold--you know? And unwrapping a gift that I bought and wrapped for myself still isn't any kind of surprise, so it doesn't help me feel like I have more gifts under the tree to wait.

Well if we used everything we bought ourselves on BF we wouldn't have anything under the tree to unwrap. I don't want to go out and keep buying more so we will have something to unwrap. :( The kids want to get something for us. So I will use some of the items we bought on BF for them to give us. Like the DVD-R, Bath and Body, just small things like that.

Last year, the TIVO was set up the same day so we could record the holiday specials. This year the husband is not backing down on the IPOD so it's being wrapped. But so is the XM radio he doesn't know about yet!!! HAHAHa!!!

I bought myself a camcorder and started using it today. Got to learn how to use it before Christmas. Also got myself a pair of shoes and I am already wearing those. I think I did more shopping for myself than I did on my Christmas list.

We got a new tv & hooked it up as soon as we got home. We also got some family board games & will be wrapping those up. I like the look of LOTS of presents under the tree :)

The only thing I bought myself was the crockpot at menards. It is still in the box. My SIL wanted one last year and I jokingly got her the Walmart $5 special. I may just give this one to her. I always wanted one like that, but where the heck am I going to store in when not in use-my kitchen is too small and it has no plans on becoming bigger!
