  1. I headed out to Walmart at about 10:00pm knowing it was too late to get any of the big doorbuster deals. Was hoping for a laptop. Its usualy more calm at this time and I have fun looking thru the abandoned carts they park near the fitting rooms. Sometimes you can score a smaller item you thought sold out. But I was able to get the toddler pj's, $1.96 movies for stocking stuffers and quite a few pair of the Wrangler jeans. They're good for my husband to work in for $9.77. As Im in the very short checkout line I see a family. Theyre discussing in a language I dont understand, but I hear the teenage boy say laptop, like he's not too excited about the one his father is holding. They speak some more and I hear the words 'next year.' The father looks down at the box in his hand then looks around for somewhere to place it. As he sets it near the checkout I say, 'sir, you dont want that?" He hands it to me while I dont know which doorbuster laptop it is. I was hoping it was the one for $159. But it was the $249 HP touchscreen laptop. It was a 6pm DB and I scored one after 10pm! I hesitated but my daughter had said she needs a laptop. I went to 3 Walmart locations. The stores were very organized. They were constantly condensing. Everyone very friendly from staff to customers.
  2. Just got my order in and an email that they recieved my order. Awesome.
  3. I kinda like it. Beats waiting for hours then getting trampled for an item with only 10 for sale on the floor. Less to carry etc. Get a card for what I missed and hope for the best.
  4. Couldnt make out the small print. Thinking how can this be if 500 ppl show if only 8 in stock? Its a nice offer, but how can they honor the huge demand on some items. http://www.walmart.com/cp/1099938?adid=1500000000000006858130
  5. Just what I've been looking for. A 40" under $300. This will really free up my time and my pocket book on BF! Ad says available Tues at 8a.m. but is online now. Heard good and bad about Westinghouse..What does everyone think?
  6. Freesia, why do you not recommend Acer.? Just bought a 15" 2 GB 320 GB for $249 at Micro Center. thx!
  7. Thanks! But can I ask what a disk drive is needed for? lol
  8. Anyone give me some info on the Netbook? Im not real techi but whats it good for? Would it hold much music? thanks for any input.
  9. Yeah, I went back on Sunday hoping to find another rubbermaid set. Non to be found but still got a 24 pc set for 9.99 which is plenty of pcs for my mom anyways. I know Ill never use all the ones that came in the set. But it was a nice deal.
  10. Good one Illinoismom!! Now THAT is the essence of Black Friday.
  11. This was the first time in yrs I hadnt gotten a big ticket item i set out for on BF. I was pretty bummed. The midnight thing at walmart really messed me up lol. And the 40" at Target..well thats a whole different story!! Everyone has said there's deals to be had after BF and now I believe it. We recently bought a house and gutted the kitchen. My husband made sure to frame a lookout into the family room when we installed cabinets and the rest is open to the family room. Nice to see/listen to the tv while Im in there.
  12. If I could have gotten the Emerson at Walmart I wouldnt of even looked any further. You got a good deal!
  13. Wasnt really feeling the $328 32" I got at Target on BF. Was more then I wanted to spend, was gonna return it anyways. So instead of filtering thru my emails on Cyber deals for a better one I decided to just check GottaDeal and low and behold there it was!!!!...Best Buy 2 day Cyber deal, Westinghouse 32" LCD tv PLUS free shipping!! Ended up being less then the cheapest one offered on Blackfriday somewhere for $269 of an off brand. Thanks GD..YOU ROCK!!!
  14. Thanks everyone!! I had no idea the texture of it.
  15. Got to Walmart at 11:30 pm to scope out the line for the $198 Tv. Tickets already given out. Heard some ppl were in line for it at 2pm on thanksgiving. But picked up the Paula Dean cookware and $9 Rubbermaid containers. Two of the adorable monkey pillow sleeping bags for $12 and a few other items. Off to Target at 2:30 am for the $298 40" tv. Line was about 70 long and it was cold! Of course the line got "thicker" by 4am. They did not give tickets! Which I thought was ridiculous. Turns out they had all the tvs in carts, probably a good idea as I was thinking how chaotic the free for all would be. But also seemed confusing not knowing they would be in carts and for a second assumed they belonged to someone. Those seconds of hesitation were not in my favor. lol Reluctantly decided on the $327 32"LCD. Got the 700 thread count sheets with the $10 GC w/purchase. Pricematched some $1.96 movies from Walmart. But the weirdest thing...as I was looking at movies the whole store went completely black!! For a few seconds, then a few lights went on, then the whole store buzzed back on. It was a little scary for those few seconds as you could see nothing! I thought public places had emergency lights etc. Ended up running on generators and when I price matched at CS, only one register worked. Gave a whole new meaning to Black Friday!! :)
