  1. Years ago, if you spent X amount, you got some smaller sets for free. Make sure you sign up for their LEGO VIP card. I also remember getting a free empty box on black friday, and you came back and filled it up around February/March maybe? I do know it was after Christmas. I miss having a LEGO store nearby.
  2. my Kohl's started putting Christmas stuff up last week
  3. I have about 40 buildings from the St. Nicholas Square. I love em! They came out with a library last year, and as a librarian, I HAD to have it!
  4. DS16 wants a pair of $100 combat boots. He insists that's ALL he wants... I found a pair for $45, so he'll be getting them. Maybe I'll hide the rest of his presents on OUR side of the tree so that's all that is under there
  5. The mall I work at will be opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving night (until 10pm Friday night!), but our District Manager said that if our store doesn't have to be open, then we will NOT open on Thanksgiving. She told the manager to find out what time we HAD to open, and that's the time we'll open. Looks like the outlets just south of us will be opening from 9pm Thanksgiving night until 9pm the next night.
  6. went to Target tonight, they were scanning @ 19, but the electronics guy gave them to me for 10! I ended up getting 6 of them, and now my nephews are just about done!
  7. There's actually some things in there that I'm looking for this year! Looks like we'll be stopping @ the BX at some point that friday
  8. Twas the Night Before Christmas
  9. Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey, Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer
  10. Frosty Returns, Frosty's Winter Wonderland, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Hoops and Yoyo Ruin Christmas, Olive, the Other Reindeer
  11. For all three outlet malls (Loveland, Castle Rock, and Silverthorne) "Moonlight Madness starts 9 pm Thanksgiving night through 9 pm Black Friday! 24 Hours to Shop!!"
  12. probably a bit more, since we're both working now! I've already started picking up some things and bought some gift cards (Target, iTunes, etc)
  13. Kohls has started to set up the Christmas decorations! I collect the St. Nicholas Square village, and one of the new pieces is a library! OMG I was so happy to see that (as a librarian lol). I told hubby I was going to put up my village soon, he just shook his head
  14. Yep! I grabbed my sister a Coach purse from the outlets the last time I was there. They were doing 40% off clearance price, so I think it was about $60ish?
  15. According to the sodastream site, a can of soda is about 25 cents. One bottle of syrup equals 33 cans of soda, and one carbonator is equal to 60 liters. With that said, you're also not getting the same calories/ingredients as you would in a regular can of soda. In Mt. Dew, there's 110 calories, 40mg sodium, and 31g carbs. In the Soda Stream version (Fountain Mist), there's 35 calories, 46mg of sodium, and 8g carbs. We use our soda stream in addition to buying soda, as it's easier sometimes to just grab one from the fridge than it is to make a soda. I find we use our soda stream more in the summer for some reason.
  16. I'd also recommend grabbing an extra CO2 bottle, as we always seem to run out either early in the morning or late at night and don't feel like driving the 5 miles to BB&B!
  17. the other day, DS asked for big boxes of Frosted Flakes and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. He's 14. Guess what he's getting?
  18. saw tons of kids of all ages out on BF as well. What bugged me the most, was the parents who let their 7-8ish year olds pushing the carts around at walmart! I mean, come on.. it's crowded as heck, people pushing and shoving, and you're going to let your kid push the cart around!? I can't count how many times I got bumped in the back because the kid can't see over the piles of crap in the cart. Very frustrating.
  19. I'd say it's more of a purple color, than it is pink. The screen shows a little girl, and the icons have Disney princess icons on it, but otherwise, the color is really only on the four corners. If I could only find or get that one for my nephew, I would have!
  20. bought one for my nephew, figured with 6 TRU, and tons of Targets and walmarts, we'd be able to find one, right? WRONG! All 6 TRU were out, drove 20 miles to the only target that showed "limited stock", but didn't have any. Went to a few walmarts, and finally found THE LAST green one on a whim @ best buy. Cannot believe how popular these things are this week! There were a bunch in stock just a few weeks ago, figured I had plenty of time to get one at TRU w/ the bundle. My advice is get it where/while you can!
  21. Just made this for DH's Thanksgiving function @ work tomorrow. Also did one with chocolate pudding, and it's YUM!
  22. Your mom sounds a lot like mine! I'm making my mom a ribbon wreath in her favorite colors (red and black). Not sure what else I'm going to get her though. I think my sister is going to get her a membership for AAA.
  23. Yea, they're only open 8-2 here on Thanksgiving day. I jokingly told DH I was going to go around 130pm and hide out somewhere so I could be first in the store @ midnight.
  24. www.shopworldkitchen.com has 7 different pyrex bowls/dishes on sale for 2.99 each, a good deal for those who want to etch!
