  1. Haven't tried Kohl's before on BF, but now there is one just a couple of miles away, problem is, opposite side of town from Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, etc, etc. But an awesome BF Kohl's ad would keep me on that side of town. :)
  2. Meet DW and go somewhere to eat, then come home and start putting up Christmas lights outside.

People watching is the best way to kill 60 minutes waiting in line!
  4. Gotta wonder about two new members vouching for this ad with their very first post.
  5. I checked the BB ad, on the inside back page, it says 'unless specified, rain checks are available' or words to that effect. I guess before, my items have always been the exception, or the clerk never wanted to mess with it. It is a computer printout as siageah said, with "Best Buy Raincheck" in big bold letters at the top. I could have paid that night, but I choose to wait for the monitor to come in.
  6. That's what I've always been told in the past. I doubt it makes a difference, but this is a new store I tried, maybe the employees just don't know better.
  7. Naturally, our Best Buy was already out of this model, and the 19" 4X3 aspect ratio ($179 no rebate) was out also. I did get a raincheck for the 4X3 model.
  8. No DVI, but not needed on DS's PC. 1 year warranty. Not the best, but thought it was a good deal at the time. http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=673538&N=200635&An=browse
  9. Very tempting. Bought a 17" Viewsonic at Office Depot last weekend for $139 after rebate. $20 more for a 19" with no rebate? That's a no brainer!
  10. When is the best time to buy a laptop - (1) back to school sales or (2) Black Friday?
  11. Is it just me or is a $10 entree too expensive to be advertising as a good deal?
  12. $200+ more for HD? I would either pay the extra to get an HD, or drop down in size and get a smaller HD for the same price. I can not understand why anyone would want an ED set. HDTV's are getting cheaper all the time, and you know you want one!
  13. Still waiting for 3 rebates! I had to resubmit one of them for 'missing purchase date'. Nowhere on the rebate certificate did it ask for purchase date, and it was cleary marked on the rebate receipt that I included. I make copies of everything I submit, so I just made another copy, sent that in along with the notification card, and circled the purchase date. Hopefully that will suffice.
  14. You have to look at the DVD recorder you have. Check the manual, it will be either + or - or both. You can not use + in a - only recorder, or a - in a + only recorder. Quality wise there is no difference, but you can only use what your recorder is designed for.
  15. This house was featured tonight on our local news. It is real! They were talking about the thousands of people who have been to see it. One night there was a car accident and the police were complaining because they couldn't get to the accident due to the long line of cars circling around. The music is broadcast on an FM frequency, so you can listen in the car as you drive by, or well, park in front of the dude's house and watch!
  16. The Trans Siberian Orchestra one is pretty cool, but that Jingle Bells one (especially the song itself) is downright annoying! I agree, I'd like to see it, but I sure wouldn't want to live next to this guy.
  17. All synched to Trans Siberian Orchestra music! How would you like to be this guy's neighbor?
  18. We're at a loss this year on what to get the neighbors, we're running out of ideas! Our first year in this neighborhood we bought 2 loaves of bread and some cookies from a bakery. The second year was a tin of cookies. Last year we bought Blockbuster certificates, two 2 liter drinks, movie candy, and popcorn. What kind of gifts do you buy for your neighbors?
  19. DW doesn't agree with me that the Staples Samsung 19" LCD is so much better than our 17" CRT monitor, that we should hook it up now!
