  1. Didn't make it out until 8 tonight, had one last family Christmas thing to do today. This one store is usually real good about moving stuff to the seasonal area, but the front grocery part of the store still had Oreos, frosting, and some other baking stuff. Yay! Also found some scissors and tape (but I am on tape restrictions, so didn't buy any), and kid's toothpaste. Productive trip. I'll head to another in the morning.
  2. Interesting, because I have been using Safari fine, even last night (starting about midnight when it came up)... Goofy internet...
  3. Both my boys got Surfaces, and they love them. All 3 kids got Windows 8 phones, and are excited, they've been working on customizing them. Daughter is happy about her car radio and boots and fitbit. Younger son has been playing his new Xbox game pretty much non-stop - with the Surface beside him...
  4. I am still finding packs of tape I bought 5 years ago... And every year I buy more...
  5. I didn't get up to Target until noon. But was able to get foil, plastic snowmen cups, Chinet plates, oreos, and some cookie mix. There was more stuff, but I had people with me that weren't up for the challenge. I'll head back out later.
  6. Oh my. I'm so sorry.
  7. Christmas stuff at my store was 30% this morning. Not sure it was everything, lights and decorations mostly. Seems like the crafty stuff might have been 50%, but don't hold me to that. I don't think paper or bows was marked down. Turkey Roasters were 50%, $14.98.
  8. That's a great idea. I'm not very creative either - I am hiding my daughter's cash (rent money) inside her laptop case she's getting. Can't wait to hear more suggestions!
  9. I had a similar thing, but I think mine was only $4 or so. I assumed it was from an earlier purchase, although I can't imagine what. Yay for us!
  10. Best Buy now has the Surface in-store!! They have it on display, and available to purchase. I'm so happy I don't have to go an hour to the mall this weekend... There was a mom and her young teenage son there playing with it. The kid had researched it and really wanted it. And he said the same thing my DS said, no to the Asus Win8 tablet. It made the mom feel better knowing we were buying 2 for our teenagers.

Sorry, ignore me, I was at wrong store... Going back in my hole now. With Walmart, I think you shoud be okay, don't do much shopping there so I'm not familiar with their policies. Looking at their website, I didn't see anything related. Good luck!
  12. Good luck! And how thoughtful of you. Also,if you had told them, you know they'd be out there fiddling with it to "make it better"...
  13. The Android app store has word processing apps. They are decent, but the last time I checked, no spell check (it's been a while though). It also has Evernote. My son uses both I believe for his note-taking. Google Docs was not a good solution because it requires an internet connection which he didn't have at school. Also be sure to also get a keyboard for typing the notes.
  14. Great deal, I wish I knew anyone that could wear the available sizes. I guess one to donate would be nice...
  15. Yep, I agree completely. They announced Tuesday they messed up and would let other stores sell them, and then the next day they were available online at those stores. Pretty fast, but still not in-store. I have 2 Microsoft stores within an hour from me, so we were able to go play ahead of time.I definitely think you should get one for you. I'm going to be jealous of my boys for a while. We have a couple at work I go and mess with sometimes. Wish they'd give me my own. We went to BB tonight to look at the Asus Win8 tablet. DS said no, he didn't like the way it feels. So looks like we will be purchasing Surface #2 next Thursday or Friday. Probably won't be able to get it at Best Buy, since shipping will be pushing it, so I guess we'll be making another trip to the MS store and no RZ points...
  16. Not that anyone cares but me, but Best Buy and Staples started carrying the Microsoft Surface online today. We bought one on BF at the MS store, but my other son said tonight he might want one (he hasn't decided on his big gift yet...), so it will be nice to earn RZ points from Best Buy.
  17. I wish my list would get finalized. Minds keep changing. I'm about to strangle a couple of my kids right now. Once my son makes his final decision, I'll get that gift, and a couple more small things for both boys and stocking stuffs. I'm done with daughter except for maybe stocking stuff. Still have to get 1 niece a laptop sleeve, and then sis, BIL, mom, and step-dad. Still don't know what I'm getting for those... I better get busy!!
  18. Mine are getting some of the same stuff mentioned. But yeah, boys are harder than girls for little things. Xbox stuff (points, live, maybe a game), or other game cards (mine are into Planetside this year, so Stationcash), gift cards to favorite stores, gloves, hats, earphones, watch, wallet, favorite snack foods (slimjims, pickles, pistachios), tablet stylus or other accessories.
  19. Yay yay yay!! So glad you found something!
  20. Calendars.com has a humor category. Shipping looks like it is $5 though. Or free for $25+.
  21. Soft gloves (like the magic gloves from Kohl's), fuzzy socks, sanitizer and lotion is good, chocolate, gum, bangle bracelets. I always love buying for my daughter's stocking. I like the idea of lots of small things. Especially if you don't know them, there are more chances of getting something they like.
  22. Thank you!
  23. I like to have different fun cases and pouches for my tablet, also different color styluses. Walgreen's and some other places have colored accessories, stylus, car charger, wall charger, cables, all in bright colors. I would like to have a dock for mine, so that I have a 'spot' designated to put it. You can also get docks with speakers if that is needed.
