  2. I've got my list made and ready, but I just can't bring myself to go out tonight. I will go to my non-24 hr store first thing in the morning. I'm excited!

  4. If you go to the App Store (www.amazon.com/appstore) and click on Deals, it will list the day's deals and you can scroll through. I'm guessing you should just check every day to see what is on sale for that day.
  5. The ad says you earn Kohl's Cash Nov 26-Dec 1, redeemable Dec 2-9
  6. Here! Go to the main Black Friday Site. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com At the top is a search box that searches all the ads. Also, keep checking back as it gets closer, the lists will update when things are available to purchase online. Welcome!

    wrist bands?

The one hour guarantee doesn't mean you will walk out of the store with one, just that you can pay for it and will get it before Christmas. The wristbands will be the number they have on hand, so if you have a wristband you will leave the store with one. If you get eh guarantee card then you will pay for the item that night, and receive it later. Hope this makes sense! I think the 1 hour guarantee is a great idea, and I guess it worked out okay last year if they're bringing it back!
  8. For any store, I will open each item I want in a separate tab, and refresh each separately and add them to cart when the price changes, and check out multiple times if necessary.
  9. Awesome! Thank you! And, it lasts until after I get paid! Now as soon as I can decide which platform to get my daughter...
  10. The keyboards are about $100. I haven't seen them by themselves in any ad. But, Staples will have Surface and keyboard both for $249.
  11. In the past, they have not typically had the front page door busters online. But of course that can always change. Those are ticketed items, and it says tickets will be handed out up to 2 hours before. I guess it would really depend how many are available on how early to line up, but at the very least 2 hours, most likely way earlier. I don't see in the ad where it says the min per store.
  12. As far as I can tell. Staples doesn't give the size, but sounds right for price. Interesting though, the pic looks like a type cover, but I imagine it will be the touch, since those are cheaper.
  13. My kids do their homework on their Surfaces, works very well. Staples is going to have the Surface with keyboard for $249, the keyboards are normally $100+, so that's a good deal. It's easier to type long things, like papers, with the keyboard.
  14. We love our Surface Pro and our RTs. The RTs are a little slower, but come with office. Like Len said, check on what else he'll need. I also have the Lenovo ThinkPad 2 that I use for work, and it's really nice. You will have to purchase office for a non-RT tablet. But it's at a nice in between point. The Surfaces on sale that I've seen are RTs. The Surface 2 will be a little faster. Be aware that the Surface 2 is an RT, even though they aren't calling it that. The pro is Surface Pro 2.
  15. Thank you!!! I do all my grocery shopping there, so this is awesome!
  16. Thanks for the website! Funny thing with my niece and bacon stuff (she already has socks), is that they are vegetarians! So I have to be careful with food stuffs. She'd eat it though!
  17. I am getting my daughter a tablet for Christmas. She asked for one, but isn't very techy, and doesn't really know what she wants. So I just sent her a list of questions, and I'll go from there. It will be between Windows and Android, she's not really much into Apple. (And no, I'm not necessarily getting her Windows if it doesn't meet her needs!! ) I would love to get her a laptop replacement, like a Surface Pro or an Asus Transformer or even that HP in the BB ad. But her house was broken into a few weeks ago, and my sweet MIL bought her a new laptop to replace the stolen one. So that would be overkill/redundant at this point. Here is my list of questions, if anyone else is interested, maybe it will help. I had thought about making a chart, but I haven't got that industrious yet. Why do you want a tablet? What will you use it for? Reading books? Internet, FB? Games? Computer replacement? Type papers? Want Word/Office? Do you want Android?Or would it just be like a bigger phone, and you already have android stuff?Would same platform be good, or do you want variety?Or does it matter? Do you want it tiny, to fit in your purse? Or bigger, so things (websites) are bigger and easier to read? Do you want a pen for taking notes? Would you use it in class to take notes? Keyboard to attach?
  18. Thank you! My mom was planning on getting my daughter a TV, and she has access to the Exchange. Wish ours hadn't closed, now the closest is 2 hours away... She is checking now to see if it can be ordered online. It says limited quantities.
  19. Well, guess it just depends what you will use it for! We use our Windows tablets, even the RTs, way more than I ever used my Android tablet. That one just didn't grab me. It is even used more than the iPad was/is. The non-pros come pre-installed with Office, which is pretty awesome, since it updates. I love that my account syncs between the different devices I log into (which is 4-5 different Windows tablets...). The keyboard covers are great, even though I don't really use the keyboard much. I also have a Windows tablet with the Atom processor, and that does pretty much everything my computer does. In fact, I now go 2-3 weeks without even getting on my actual computer! The cost of those are between a Surface and Surface Pro. To me, Windows 8 is much smoother and easier to use, but that's just me. But everyone has their favorite platform/OS! I'm sure there's lots of people that will say the same things I said above about their Android/iPad!
  20. Last year the Microsoft Store had a deal on the Surfaces. Buy the bundle, get a free keyboard I believe. Which worked well for us, because we actually now have 2 RTs and a Pro. That's probably the only place that may have a sale on those though. BB has last year's RT in the ad, really good deal. But the Pro definitely has advantages. We bought our 2nd and 3rd Surfaces at Best Buy, and then earned RZ certificates, so that was kinda like a sale.
  21. Seems like our Thanksgiving paper usually has a coupon ($10 maybe) stuck on it.
  22. http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/203188-dell-home-black-friday-ad-posted/ Some of the computers you can order with Windows 7, but only the Alienware I believe.
  23. Let There Be Light
  24. We love our windows tablets, and last years Surfaces are a pretty good price right now. Best Buy will have them in the ad for $199. It is really really nice having office built in to the RTs, and it will always update to latest version. Comes in very handy for my kids doing school work.
  25. Tablet - still trying to find out from my daughter what she wants, so I know exactly what I'll be looking for. Would like to find some bar stools for her, she just moved in a house. My mom is getting her a 32" tv. Anything for DS17, I am really at a loss on what to get him this year. Flash drives less than $10. And if I still have any money, some king size fleece sheets from Kohl's for me. And of course my usual shampoo, toilet paper, shaving cream, etc...
