I usually pick up some of the Creatology art sets to stash for gifts. But now that my youngest is 13, guess that won't be as useful. I do like that Ottlite Task Lamp, and the candy cane striped duck tape!!

I've also had real good luck getting games at TRU, they usually offer GC deals with games. Bu tI think my impatitient clan has all they want already, so not much left to buy... DOA, Assassin's Creed, Halo 4 (2 copies), and Forza all were purchased on release day...

I'm always the world's worst when it comes to giving my want list. Maybe reading these posts will help me think of ideas too.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2012
bluebear replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Went to the "further" Target tonight right before closing, and I'm so glad I did. Found a bunch more Mac and Cheese, got about 15 more, there were at least 10 more left. My daughter came home from college this weekend and took some of what I got last week, and I have 2 teenage boys, one of which eats an entire box in a sitting... Also found some pretty picture frames, off-white and turquoise with glitter, in the clearance, 70% off. I just took some pictures of my kids this weekend, and 2 were wearing turquoise! -
I am just on their email list. I do not have a card.

Interesting, because all the cereal rang up full price at my store. The matching fruit snacks were clearanced though, so I did get lots of those. I'll check again today. -
Jcpenney extra 30% off clearance--big great deals in my local store

I also finally made it today, with $10/$10 coupon in hand. Didn't find lots, but that's okay, I really just like to go hunt. Did find ds16 some jeans and husband a shirt (he recently started a new job and is needing new clothes so this was nice). But, I made the mistake of glancing over at the jewelry counter... So, I was nice enough to get my Christmas present from my husband. There were 3 other things I would have liked, so maybe I can keep checking on those. Also, the lady told me that she didn't know what the store would be doing for Black Friday, but that they will be doing this same 30% Clearance sale at least one more time before Christmas. -
I have ordered from Staples 2 or 3 years online on BF morning and always got what I needed without having to go into the store.

The last couple years T-Mobile has done a weekend in February of free (after rebate) smartphones (with a contract) if you can wait until then.

So apparently, Target is running a special this week, B3G1 on Kraft Mac and Cheese. Even works on the Trick or Cheesy Halloween ones. I do not see it in the ad, but that's how it rung up on my receipt. I bought 8 at 1 store and 2 came up free. -

I was thinking maybe Sunday as well, I'm hoping I can still get some stuff. But people were at both my stores grabbing all the food, which is what I'm after, so I got what I really wanted, then anything else would be a bonus! -

Had so much fun this morning! Love Halloween clearance. Lots of food and snacks for lunches! Also got paper towels, napkins, paper plates, and cups. -
A co-worker today messaged me, telling me it was getting close to Christmas shopping time. And that he was getting with his shopping helper (me) early this year. So I got his "look-out for" item from him. Already got that wish-list item from another co-worker... That's apparently my job, which is fine, I love looking for a deal for everyone!

I like the preparation, making a plan. And then just being in the middle of everything. Although every year the amount I buy in person goes down, I still like to go and be a part, and spend time with mama and my sister.

My dad doesn't have much space, and doesn't need much stuff. He is simple, but hard to buy for. But, he likes to eat and snack. So I'll buy him Hickory Farms sets, 5 lb bags of pistachios, little gift tins of flavored pistachios, little treats and stuff like that. He always appreciates that, because he won't buy that himself. Sometimes my sister or I will buy him a book that he wouldn't buy for himself.

I am kind of a Type #1 and #3. Although I don't really think of it as a vulture or being lazy, it is a treasure hunt for me! Just like holiday clearance, I just like to see what I can find. Half the time I don't even buy it, I just like to find the deals... And I don't get there crazy early to camp out or anything, but I am always super prepared and try to be helpful.

I don't listen to music. But, my son's sign language group starting practicing Christmas music last week, and I'm sure tonight will be almost all Christmas music practice, so now I have it in my head and will be singing (and signing!) it.

I saw about 10 things I wanted in the ad, for me! Including that rotary attachment kit, good to know it's nice. My husband doesn't do power tools. But he told me to print it and circle what I wanted.

I have the 7in Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Had it since May. My mom also has one, and we both like them. And I've noticed that the price has come down, so that's nice. My nieces and nephew (7-10 yo) all play great on it. It has lots of games they like, and it has held up to them, and has been easy to use. It has front and back cameras, which not all tablets have. So you can take picture and video, and also skype (not sure if those are important for your use, but we use Skype). It also has a SD slot, so you can put SD memory cards in it if you want to take a lot of picture or video for a trip or something (this feature saved my son for a video project he had for school...).

I would second that! I have a Windows phone, so an app would be awesome. And I woudn't be surprised if we end up with at least 2 Surfaces in my house.
-
That is a really nice tablet, and looks like a pretty good price. It is more powerful than the less expensive tablets. 16gb is a good bit of space, so that's nice. And it has a card reader for extra if you need it.
-
Okay, cool, thanks! I was wondering if that would work. I have neither, so I've never looked into it.

Well, from what I know, you can't read Nook books on a Kindle. It may be different on a Fire, since you can put apps on it, but I don't know for sure. If that's the case, then you will want to stick to the Nook, so you can keep your existing library. Or go with another Android tablet that you can put both Nook and Kindle books on.

Ha! I've done that myself! I usually am off work the week before Christmas, but because of the way it falls this year, I'm not. Which is good in a way, because I'll shop all week up to Christmas Eve, even when I promise I'm done! I just hope I'm not too stressed trying to do everything last minute, probably will be...
