Funny, I may be dealing with the same thing! My mom and sister usually go with me, but I think that isn't happening this year due to lack of funds. I have a tiny bit to spend, so it won't be a big trip for me, but I just like to go out. And, I would be fine going alone, but everyone would freak if I did. So I know there's a good chance he will offer, but, well, same as you, he's just not a shopper. He will be occupied with his phone, but then sometimes he doesn't keep up with me when he's distracted. I am thinking about to going to the mall to go to the Microsoft Store. That mall is about an hour away. I get stressed driving in traffic, especially in unfamiliar places, but I don't mind the crowds too much. He would be okay driving, but not being in the mall. So I told him he could drive me and stay in the car! He was fine with that, so maybe we'll do that for that trip.

Kohls is usually a last stop for me, and there is still plenty for me there. I like to make it last or close to it, so I can take my time and look around. The lines will be long, so be prepared. I am usually with my mom and sister, so we shop for a while, then get in line, and then one will go grab something, and then another will go. Sometimes I'll go grab something for someone in line who doesn't have a partner!

My mom puts her tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving, and decorates throughout the early week. Everything except the kitchen. That stays decorated for Thanksgiving until after dinner, then we switch them out.

I have purchased door busters from Staples before online. That doesn't mean for sure this will be, but at least at some point they did offer some. Good luck!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch 179.99 at Amazon
bluebear replied to jesspitt's topic in Online Hot Deals
The difference between an iPad adn this galaxy Tab2 (and most other tablets) is that the iPad runs iOS and the others runs Android operating System. It's like the difference between an iPod or another mp3 player, or liek a Mac computer and a PC. Just the paltform that they run on. Most likely, just like most people use the term iPod for a mp3 player, he is using the term iPad, because that is the most popular. But yes, they all do mostly the same things. We have both, and really the only difference is what apps are available. Some are available on both, some are on only one or the other. But they both have a reall ygood selection. You cannot use the Apple App store on Android, you have to use an Android app store, liek Google Play, or Amazon App Store. The Galaxy Tab also has access to the Samsung App store. I usally check all three stores, sometimes one will be running a special on an app. The other main thing, like racerfan mentioned, is that the Galaxy Tab has sd storage. iPad does not. So that's ataully a plus in my book! One other thing. It may not be he wants a tablet at all. My son was asking for an iPad, after using ours in school for a few weeks because his Kindle died (he uses his Kindle for English reading books). After asking some questions, we realized that he had been playing a certain game with his friends before school every morning, they all had iPods or iPhones. So given the choice (he really wasn't going to get an iPad), he said he wanted the iPod, that would serve the same purpose, even better, because it fits in his pocket. He actually has used that for classwork too (they do a lot of video and photo projects). So you may want to ask what he wants to use it for... -
The couple times I have ordered from them, it seems like a good bit of it was online. At least one of the times I even got a ticketed doorbuster online. I would imagine at the very least software would be. Good luck!

I didn't think Best Buy charged restocking fees anymore...

Nice to know that Surface cover deal is available online. The 1st 100 people in store also get a free Surface sleeve. So if I chicken out on going to the mall on BF, I can still get the cover deal, since we will be buying a Pro when they come out as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7inch NOW $179.99 at J&R

My mom and I both have them and they are great. My young nieces and nephew (all under 10) also play on hers, so it's good for multiple ages. -
I had never had prime, neither had my husband, and it didn't show for either of us. Maybe there was another deciding factor in addition to that.

I am losing my mind, that's all... When I searched on this week's ad, it evidently searched the BF ad instead... Sorry. It is listed on the online BF ad. No points, just like the PP said. Hope it still is in store!
-
I would think you would, points are points. What page of the Walmart ad is it on? I can't find it. Thanks for posting this, I had completely missed this in the Target ad. We go through some serious Points here at my house. HappyHolidays: It is in the sale that starts at 9pm. It will run all weekend. I have had hit and miss with stuff like this (iTunes) at Target. Sometimes I can find them later, sometimes they are gone in an hour. I would go ahead and go see where they keep them. I have already gone and found where the iTunes cards are. And don't forget to check the check lanes. I know they have Live Memberships there, don't remember about points. And speaking of Live, I see that Target has 3-month cards for $10 this week, starting today, which is cheaper than Wal-mart's BF price.

Just got back from my trip, I am in the mood now! I still have last year's Carmex, so I didn't get another. But, I forgot the coupon in the Command Package! Someone even told me about it in the store, and I still forgot. I have such a short attention span...

I bought my son a Thrive last year for Christmas. It has been great, he loves it, and it has held up very well. Which is really good for him because he is rough on things. Like racerfan said, one thing I liked about it was the full-size usb. He has plugged in a keyboard to it and used it for note-taking in class.

Sounds like the Early Access for Silver members is Monday, not Thursday. I have ordered several times from Best Buy on Wednesday night/Thursday morning with no problems. And I wasn't even a plain RewardZone member. So everything should be fine.
-
Rebates are a pain, but I have done lots of rebates with T-Mobile and I always get them with no hassle. Got one to do this weekend actually... And probably will have 3 more before Christmas, as it seems most of their deals include them. Oh well.
-
Yep, my same thoughts. And as I've said previously, I really really like mine.
-
I have have good experiences ordering from Staples online right at 6am, even for doorbusters. One year I ordered, then went up there, and people were still standing in line to pick up and pay for their ticketed items, one which I had already ordered...

Thanks!

New Windows Phones are coming out today (I know, I probably have the only family on Earth excited about that...). We went to look at them last night, and the guy at T-Mobile said he thought they would be doing something for most smartphones on BF. He mentioned B1G1, then said like last year. I looked at last year's stuff, and saw no B1G1. Sooo... Not sure about that. We have 3 to get for Christmas, and dh wants his now. 2 are eligible for upgrade, 2 1st week in December. I'm trying to talk him into waiting just a few more days to see what the BF deal will be, wish me luck that he doesn't just go get it today...

There is a Skype App. I use it all the time on my Galaxy Tab 2. There is also a YouTube app. Flash is not on any tablets that I know of. I have found almost nothing though that this affects for me using my tablet.

Black Friday T-shirts - Status Update & Discussion Thread
bluebear replied to ehstrojette's topic in 2012
I already have them in my purse, all ready to go! I plan to hand them out at work as well to people that ask me where I find out about things. -
I also like the tool idea. My boys are 13 and 16. Heck this could even work for my dd21. She even works on her own car (she got that skill from her dad, not from me...). I would be doing the tool buying, I love buying tools!!

They were just picked up on Thursday. Some of us live closer than others. I'm sure yours will arrive soon. -
Right. You pay your $5.99, get $3 back, then you can use it on something else in a future purchase. So, $2.99 after you spend your $3.
