  1. I'm not sure I know what a Christmas planner is, but sounds cool! I have a small 5x7 notebook that I write every gift for the kids down in, sometimes $$amount, and whether it is from me or Santa, stocking, and whether I've wrapped it. Done this since they were little, youngest is 16 now, so probably about 14 years. I'm on my 2nd notebook. Several years back, the notebook was getting full, so I tore out the old pages and threw them away. The next day I realized what I had done! But it was too late, trash was gone. Still makes me sad.
  2. I decorate in gingerbread and candy, but I'm not sure I would say I collect them. Although a couple people do pick up neat ornaments for me from time to time, like gingerbread Mickey mouse ears, which I appreciate! My grandfather got my daughter a silver bell from Service Merchandise for her first Christmas, and I kept that up until she was 21 (although not from there!) The boys were harder to keep up a tradition. We've done some hot wheels and also nutcrackers, but nothing consistent for them. Grandson is about to have his first Christmas. Trying to think of a good tradition for him....
  3. Welcome to McDonough! That's where I shop/live as well.
  4. Bluetooth ear buds. Both my husband and son love these. No wire to get in the way. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PEPIWNI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00
  5. Sigh, Amiibos... My son was stalking the wave 4&5 when they were released. He had me add a couple people on twitter that would tweet when things were available. The pre-orders and actual orders were selling out in minutes, it was unbelievable. I've still been looking, as there is still one we were unsuccessful in getting, and not willing to pay $40 from a reseller. I've not really seen any restocks of those, sadly. We got a couple from Amazon UK. We also looked at several toy places in Japan, also places like Newegg and Tiger Direct. If I happen to see the splatoons I'll post. Good luck!
  6. Seems like Home Depot did an appliance sale the entire month of November the last couple years, instead of having the sale just black Friday. I'm hoping to get my daughter a dishwasher, and I guess I'm going to have to give in and buy me a new stove this year... So I'll be watching too!
  7. My Home Depot has hot chocolate, coffee, and krispy kreme donuts every year. And a couple outdoor heaters towards the front for the people that have been out waiting longest.
  8. Walgreens on Thanksgiving. I go to Kohls every year, but the last few years everything was bought online earlier in the week and I just tagged along with my mom and sister. Have to go to Petsmart though. Gotta get the year's supply.of cat litter and dog treats! I'm so fun.
  9. Looks like from their website it will be out Nov 1.
  10. Yes, CVS, Walgreens, rite aid, all open thanksgiving day. If they are 24 hours, then the sale starts at midnight. I usually stay up late in Wednesday night and hit Walgreens at midnight.
  11. Yes! Love the freebies from Walgreens. Ear buds, ponytail holders, hairbrushes, free or cheap razors, free or cheap lip balm... Other than those, can't think of anything else in particular. Just candies and other stuff.Believe I've gotten gloves and hats before on BF, makeup... Oh, and Walgreens has had a gift card offer when buying iTunes. We are not an iTunes family, but I can give them as gifts, then use the gift card for more stuff!
  12. Surface 4 was announced today. Maybe Surface 3 will go down a little now. Looks like that the big thing on our list...
  13. Yay, I bought a present today! A few weeks ago I bought a few baby toys for the grand baby on a kohls sale. But this was first one for one of my kids. Got 2 stocking stuffers too, I struggle with those sometimes. Unfortunately, I had to send son a picture to pick it out, but that's okay. When they get older sometimes you just got do that. I usually get probably 75% or more of my shopping done Thanksgiving week though.
  14. It's a little pricey, but my daughter loves the Naked pallets eye makeup. She likes to watch YouTube videos on different combinations of putting it on. Good luck! I remember going through a few tough years finding gift ideas too!
  15. I've noticed kohls has done a couple double or triple rewards points promos lately. It would be awesome if they did that for black Friday too.
  16. Oh, thank you for bringing this up. I loved your idea so much, I had wanted to do that for my son, who just moved to school last month. Thanks for the reminder! Your recipe box idea is good too. Maybe one for shopping? Like target, books.. Gas? Maybe a grocery category in food ?
  17. Kohls. I buy each of these things every year. Also blankets, they have the best.
  18. Well, as my kids get older, list is shorter and harder. Finally today the boys said they might like a Microsoft Band 2, and the youngest said a new surface. Yikes. Probably no sale on any of those. Other son wants a Wii U, so ill look for that. I think I am.going to look for a new dishwasher for my daughter. Bright side is, I do have a goona-be 11 month old grandson, so that will be a lot of fun shopping.
  19. My store's BTS was already wiped out by Sunday. But my daughter's store still had some. Found a large pile of post-it notes for $.30, so that made me happy. Also found some dorm stuff clearanced, laundry bags, dishes, sheets, etc. My favorite was a little metal cart at 50%, $9.98.
  20. We have one of those compu-sticks. It works well. Upgraded to Windows 10 fine.
  21. We got a Lenovo Y series last year. maybe you can watch for the current version to be discounted when a newer version comes out. The time before when we needed "gaming" laptops, we just looked at regular laptops with added video cards. Those were a little cheaper and worked very well.
  22. Thanks! He's a boy. He will be almost 11 months at Christmas, so that should be fun.
  23. Yep, I'm here. And this year, I have a grandbaby to buy for. Yay!
  24. Thank you! Mama has one of these, and its getting old and torn a little. Great price for a replacement!
  25. Mine was 70/50. I forget about the checker too... Found a few more things today, things I didn't see Monday at 50%. Be sure to check the plants and flowers. Easter lilies were 70%.
