I hear ya...guess who was first in line to get toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, etc when the pandemic shut everything down, lol! I betcha they won't laugh anymore, never hurts to be prepared.

I haven't seen as much of that recently, or at least not as bad. It seems like they have been trying to be more upfront to avoid high levels of customer disappointment.

I remember back in the day (I won't say which day) layaway was all the rage. Kmart was it! Before WM was a household name. Used layaway all the time. Then as I got a little better financial footing I didn't use as much, it's been decades. Now I use paypal credit online for anything over $100, you get 6 mos no interest. They even run deals for longer periods throughout the year. More and more online stores are taking paypal as a method of payment and you do get some level of protection with your purchase. Better than layaway! (In my opinion)

I hope they do at least offer free shipping so that no one has to risk their health if they feel uncomfortable with the situation in their shopping area.

Maybe if there are a lot of shortages they will offer some sort of reservations for certain things like they do for the cell phones. Then you come back at a later date to get the item?

I'm in the non-budget group. I'm not buying holiday gifts, just shopping. I usually make a list throughout the year of things that come up that would be good to look for on black friday. I'm very patient, so I just wait.

I don't think we do. I believe I tried to order from them, then when I got to the cart it said they didn't service our area.

With the delta variant running rampant I think we'll see another spread out, heavily online season. Hopefully with more stores closed on Thanksgiving.

I'm going to be looking for some unconventional sales this year. Working on backyard and landscaping. Need awning, pergola, outdoor furniture, etc.

The only thing I tried to get was the women's plush pajama bottoms at WM for my daughters. When they went on sale online, I didn't like the one's they had available so I didn't buy any. I did go to Bath & Body Works, after a not too long wait in line I got everything I wanted, used my coupons and rewards, had a really good time. I did other shopping over the next few days online and in the weeks since. Just trickling in. Was too hard to focus on "Black Friday" shopping when it was more like November and December shopping.

Last week our store was only letting in 9 customers in at a time. There was a short line outside, didn't take too long to get in. I was shocked. I was planning on getting my box online too, but you can't use the 20% off and get the box deal online if they both require a code :-(

I still haven't gotten mine either!!! One more mail day.....

I actually got up at 315am to get in line for a new samsung for the hubby. I was 3rd in line and I made sure folks in front and behind me were distanced. #1 was after an apple, #2 wanted thermal underwear, lol. Not nearly a black friday crowd! Got my appt for the phone no prob. Went home, then came back for the 1st appt at 10am. Also picked up the otterbox case, a pr of pajamas for my grans and the rubbermaid containers for $6.75 with my $500 giftcard. That was pretty much it. I ran back later to pick up a couple of things for my sister who was out of town. There was no big crowd, no tearing pallets open, there was still a lot of some of the sale items available at 6pm...although I did see a lady in the parking lot trying to stuff 2 of the big tvs in her tiny sedan-hilarious!!! I don't think they're going to work when she gets them home, lol.

California banned the thin throwaway bags some time ago! Now we have thicker, reusable ones but you have to pay 10 to 15 cents for a bag if you don't bring your own.
