Black Friday will definitely NOT be the same this year... stores closed on Thanksgiving (that's enough of a shocker!), now so many states are having an increase in covid cases. Planning for an online experience. One good thing, if you are online maybe that will eliminate some of the unnecessary spending, lol. Sometimes you get a little carried away in the store.

I see everyone had fun trying to get their items on walmart's site. I didn't have anything to get from them, so I was OK. My sister was trying to get something and called me cussin' and fussin' because she couldn't check out either. Ending up getting what she wanted somewhere else. Walmart lost out on a lot of our money this year!

I've never really done Cyber Monday. What types of things are on sale? Should I wait for certain items instead of getting them on black Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday we have flash flood warnings!

I can't even find Toshiba laptops, I think they used to carry them at circuit city, do they even make them any more?

What are your thoughts on the eMMC storage? The Dell Inspiron 14 3000 and best buy's Lenovo 14" laptop both have this type of storage.

What about the Inspiron 14 3000 laptop in the dell home ad? Not that I don't love him, lol but it's more affordable.

But I already got a 75" tv for $749 with a $70 gift card at Sam's one day sale, including free shipping, no waiting in line, 2% cash back for using my Sam's store card, 5% back from using ebates........I agree it's more spread out, if you watch the ads you can avoid camping out.

I have a different angle...I don't celebrate the holidays (religious reasons). My reason for loving black friday has always been because it was a fun time that me and my sister would spend together. Whether we were far apart, going through issues, whatever, we always had black friday! We would get up when it was still dark, meet at the local Denny's for breakfast at about 2 or 3 (I'm always late, lol) then be in line at walmart by 4 hot chocolate in hand , in the freezing cold, waiting for 6am! It was the best time ever! Of course there was the bonus of watching the craziness going on all around us. Now things have changed, most of the shopping is online, we don't need a lot, etc., but we still get together. We will do our online shopping for the big things we can get online, then we meet up to get that one doorbuster you can't get online, or the free with rebate items at Macy's, We still manage to stay out for hours picking up little things at several stores. The BEST part is it is still that one day a year where I get to hang out with my sister...we're not freezing, but we're having fun! Love you sis!

Wow, finally out! Sad to say, but nothing much I need. No 75" tv, better laptop deal somewhere else. I'm actually relieved, I would have been mad if they had better deals than what I got at Sam's one day sale. But did you see online starts Wednesday!

I'm looking for a laptop for my husband....he doesn't get a desk anymore, lol. All he uses it for is looking at the internet, craig's list, etc. He doesn't save documents. But I wanted to get him a little bigger screen, not an 11". I'm thinking he doesn't need much memory. Waiting to see if WM is going to have anything. Where is that ad anyway!!!

This is really cool, I don't remember seeing this before. I'm going to check off all of my stuff right now.

Not much shopping left to do. Will probably go to Macy's and do all of the "free after rebate" items. I think anything else I have on my list can be done online. Might also go get the scratch off card at JCP.

Just got back from Sam"s. Got 2 phones and $850 in gift cards. I didn't like the way they had it set up....I was about 20th in line at 5am. They started going down the line at about 5:30, there was a person for Samsung and one for Apples. The only problem was they were setting up different appointments. If you were buying one of each you had 2 different appointment times to activate you phones. They should have done it so a person could have one appt no matter which phones they were getting.The apples seemed to be way more popular. By the time the apple person got to me they were on Sunday for appointments. I wasn't available Sunday, since they are about 30 minutes away, so I made my appt for Monday afternoon. My Samsung appt was for 8:30am. We left and went and had breakfast and came back about 8am. I got my Samsung taken care of. They said I could wait and see if someone didn't show up for their apple appt and then they could do my apple (they had one person doing each and they weren't allowed to do the other brand). No one showed up for the 9:30 appt so I was able to get my apple activated. So I don't have to go on Monday. Was out about 10:15ish. All in all it went pretty well. I saw the 75" tv in the store....picture looked awesome. Also it has what they call a magic remote. Voice control, the pointer moves as you move the remote, pretty cool. Walmart better hurry up, I am pretty much done shopping. They are not going to get much of my money this year!

Went back on the website to look through the ad more closely now that I got my tv. Score...they had a good looking bidet toilet seat for a really good price, even after I added the 3 year warranty! Ordered two, one for our existing master and one for the new one we are adding. Our current bidet seat has lasted for about 5 years. I bought it for hubby for our anniversary. The seat is cracked and parts don't work like they should, but he refuses to part with it until I get him a new one. Boy, Sam's Club is a life saver.

No troubles, site posted a message a few minutes before 9(PST) then it came up and I went right to my list and added items to my cart and checked out. Pretty uneventful. Except the card I was using I hadn't used in a while, it was declined and I had to answer a fraud text and recheck out!

I was just sitting here thinking, if I was Walmart I would let my ad out right now, about 15 minutes before the Sam's Club one day sale, what a disruption....then I remembered they are the same company, lol! 12:01 EST from what I read

I go in and out depending on what's going on. Way back we needed a lot of things so it was more fun. Then a few years we didn't "need" anything, wasn't as fun. This year I actually need to buy items to furnish a room addition (new tv, etc.), so this year seems funner. I think I am not wasting money, shopping for things I need. Of course, still want to go see the BF Crazies!!!

I'm not going to have much left to get at walmart if they don't hurry up and show their ad. Getting several things at the sam's club one day sale.
