  1. Since you mentioned a kind of photo collage, why not do a scrapbook? You can pick up a nice 12x12 page book at WalMart or so for $5-20, then pick up all of the add-ons that would suit the book.
  2. like others said, just hit up your local dollar stores... you could go with some coloring books, crayons, misc. stuff... for girls, go to your local rite aid/cvs/etc and pick up some lip smackers lip balm, and some wet n' wild nail polish.
  3. Yeah, I also find it a little weird that it seems a lot of people do this... A lot of toys and stuff need batteries, and they don't come with them (even if they do, they're usually included inside the box but not actually in the toy/electronic. I would just get the toys, and then pick up one of the battery things at radio shack or somewhere (last year they had some kind of huge battery thing that included various types of batteries). With electronics these days (video game handhelds, ipods, etc) you can use them while they are charging, so I think the only thing that would need to be charged in advanced was a portable phone or something, or they could wait it out after it's opened :)
  4. Did any of them say it at the bottom? I put in 4 that didn't say it and it said $20... or did you put 4 of the same in? I'm not sure why it wouldn't work... :-/
  5. I have 4 in the "bag" and it's showing them as $20 total, not $15... I only saw one that said B3G1 underneath it, so maybe it's just on select sprays?
  6. Yeah, you should be good if you already have it wrapped or something (or even if not). If they don't have a charge left when they're opened, just plug them in and they can play with it charging. I have an SP and DS right now and the battery lives on them are pretty good, IMO, for casual playing.
  7. Our BB wasn't really bad... the worst that happened was that when the tickets were being handed out, some people from the back of the line would run up and grab them from the employee's hands, but they wouldn't make it very far with it since those of us that had been waiting for 5 hours weren't standing for it lol.
  8. These come pre-charged. I'm sure some of them could have sat on the shelf for a while, but it should have some kind of charge right out of the box. (You can play it while it's on the charger too :))
  9. Supposedly stores will have anywhere from 25-500 cards, as well as sale prices from 7am-10am or until 11am. Call your store to verify everything though (how many cards, what time, etc.)
  10. When we were there on BF, they still had the bottom of the palette covered with the Noah's Ark LP playset, but no zoos left. We checked where they are normally, and there were none left there either. When we went back a few minutes later, there were only 2 Noah's Ark playsets left also.
  11. UPS always just drops off here without knocking, or even coming to the door half of the time. FedEx however won't leave anything if no one goes to the door to get it (even though we live in a really small town). I'm almost always here to get the packages though. My bf had two pairs of diesel shoes stolen from his doorstep though after no one was home to collect the package.
  12. If it's just the viewing screen, then you can still use the camera, and just not view the pictures until they're on the computer. Or, you can put it on eBay. You'll take a loss on it, but it won't be a complete loss. I'm sure someone would find a use for it, either to fix it, for parts, or to use as is. Or, you can find out how much it would cost to fix. It's unfortunate that it had to break, but these things happen and you have some options on what to do without giving up completely on it.
  13. Congrats! We managed to walk out with two of them on BF out of sheer luck for the most part... It was our 2nd (and last) stop on BF after Best Buy, so we got there around 5:30... Found some of the Care Bears and picked this up, couldn't find any more of the Little People Zoo, and couldn't find any more Cabbage Patch Newborns... When we were passing through the toy aisles for the last time on our way to give up, my sister found two ladies saying that they picked up one too many CPs. She asked them if they were going to get rid of one and waited for them to decide which one she didn't want. On the way to the express checkout, I was staring down all of the aisles by the registers, and right before we got to the register I saw one on top of one of the shelves, ran over and grabbed it.

  15. Honestly, you don't need a higher megapixel camera. a 2-3 should get the job done just fine for basic photo needs. I believe target or wal-mart had a polaroid one for $98 a couple weeks back. I'd go with a Canon, Sony or even Kodak though. I had a Polaroid digital camera a while back and it wasn't very good. I have a small Sony Cybershot now and I love it... there have been a few Canon Powershots for under $200 lately. I'm looking to get my mom one of the $120 Canons.
  16. It's not such a big deal since it was only 1 $3 BBB... but I know that at least a handful of users on here were looking to use their BBB on BF... if I had had as many as some of these other guys, then I would have been a little more upset that they wouldn't accept them.
  17. My BB store wasn't accepting BBBs on any of the doorbusters at least on BF. I had a $3 coupon, and I really don't shop BB that often so I threw it on the counter when my sister was paying, and the associate said he didn't think they were accepting BBB on the BF merchandise. My sister got the emachines and 2 of the 3.99 dvds, so i figured maybe it would work on the dvds, but it didn't.
  18. There's a commercial for the $10 gift cards on Dec. 3rd... I believe it said the first 100 or 200 people... I could be wrong on the number though.
  19. I didn't know either until Sunday night when I saw something about it on the news. I got excited since I prefer shopping online for holiday gifts... but I went to a bunch of different sites yesterday and found NOTHING.
  20. I would think those would have been the first of their BF-prices to sell out, seeing how they had the lowest price on them that I found in the ads. Who knows though.
  21. haven't been to wm since friday morning, but we must have gotten there around 5:30 and it looked like there were tons of the doorbusters left around that time. we got there just in time to get some care bears and almost went home without any cabbage patch newborns, but then ended up leaving with 2 :)
  22. The employee went through the entire line at our BB (wrapped to the back of the building) and still had 2 gateway tickets left, and he wasn't allowed back inside until they were all gone. I'm sure he got rid of them with some last-minuters but he couldn't get rid of them all within the first however many people in line even.
  23. I don't see how they could hand out more than one ticket to a single person, unless there really weren't many people in line altogether and the entire line was gone through for tickets first I suppose could be the only reason I see for doing that (one of the employees at our store couldn't get rid of all of the gateway laptop tickets and was telling people that he wasn't allowed to go back inside until he was empty-handed). We were within the first 10 people in the line and made sure to ask everyone what they were there for. Everyone was really nice within the first 15 people of our line and we all chatted it up the entire time and everyone looked out for one another which was really good. We had a guy in front of us going for the eMachines as well, and the guy behind us was there for the laptop, but the guy for the eMachines really wanted 2 so each of his kids could get one, so they talked about having the laptop guy get another eMachines and the eMachines guy was going to get another thing for the laptop guy... I'm not sure if that worked out with them though. I also think holding spaces shouldn't be allowed.. UNLESS, in our case after the tickets were handed out and we all had been waiting there for 5 hours (the first 10 or 15 of us), we took turns going to the cars to warm up for a few minutes, so the spot would be saved so we could still get in the door ASAP. We did start to get a rush at the door of last-minuters a little before the doors opened. The first 10 or 15 of us in the line got pretty upset and there was one of the last minuters complaining that we had no right to tell her she needed to go to the end of the line because she didn't have any tickets and we had ours, and that she was only there to buy a CD... for one, who goes to BB at 5AM on BF to buy 1 CD?! and second, we told her she shouldn't be telling that to us, but to the line of people that went around the building who had been waiting for at least an hour as well.
  24. I didn't get anything, but went with my sister who got: $149 eMachines at BB -- waited since just before midnight at BB and were the 5-6 or 6-7th people in line 3 of the $5 Care Bears w/ DVDs at WM -- went there after getting out of BB and got there just in time to wait for someone to pull out of their parking spot, so we ran in expecting it to be a madhouse... As soon as we reached the toys I found a yellow care bear just thrown where it didn't belong, so I grabbed it "just in case". I finally found someone with more CBs in her cart and asked her where she had gotten them, so she told me and we headed there where there were maybe 5 left on the palette (only had the pink w/ hearts and pink w/ rainbow left also by then, but we still had the yellow one we held on to) Looked all over for the Cabbage Patch newborns that they had for $10, and couldn't find any... Finally when we were about to head to check out, we passed through the toy aisles one more time and my sister caught two ladies debating on which CP to get rid of because they had gotten one too many... so my sister asked if they were getting rid of one and if she could have it so they picked out the one they didn't want and gave it to her... then on our way to the checkout line, I was scanning the sections by the registers and spotted a CP on top of the magazines, candy or whatever, walked over and grabbed it and on we went... only thing we didn't get that we had wanted was the Little People Zoo. So we came home with: BB $149 eMachines BB 2 - $3.99 DVDs (Cat in the Hat & The Grinch) WM 3 - $5 Care Bears WM 2 - $10 Cabbage Patch newborns
  25. Snap-on>all others Of the two, I'd say to go with Craftsman though... I believe they still have a "lifetime warranty/guarantee" which does come in handy
