  1. you can also try shopping.com
  2. did you try checking with jetblue? they're usually not as expensive as some of the other airlines. my bf and i flew to florida with them in august and we loved it with the tvs and all.
  3. i shopped at target.com for some xmas gifts, but they all had free shipping on them. i went on today to check on the force fx lightsaber, trying to debate if i should just order the blue one in case the green one i got for my bf never shows up, but the free shipping was off of it at this time. all i could find was 10% off coupon codes, and i didn't even bother to check the shipping charges since it would have to be done 2nd day or overnight at this point to arrive in time for xmas.
  4. Call of Duty 2 is the newest WWII game, I think...
  5. you should ship them ups, fedex or dhl...
  6. i used to see it in wal-mart all the time... i imagine wm, kmart, target, tru should have it.
  7. I've been waiting for an eBay item that was shipped out 2 weeks ago via the USPS. There's no way it would get to her in time at this point.
  8. why doesn't he just use the canned air? my bf does a lot of with computers, and he loooooves canned air. for a side idea though, kind of related, my bf picked up a light that clips onto your ear pretty much like a cell phone headset at radio shack a few months back. he said it's helpful when working inside a computer case.
  9. Whether it be right when it is released, or years later, Microsoft products will have tons of bugs. You don't need a separate memory card for each game. I have an 8mb I believe and have all of my games saved on there (Mario Kart, Mario Party 6, NFSU, FF Crystal Chronicles, and Tales of Symphonia). The cards can store a lot, so just buy a new one when the first one seems to be getting filled up.
  10. congrats on the deal :) even if it is only an inch bigger, your kids (depending on age) should appreciate the flat screen aspect :)
  11. we got a 20 pack of duracell AA's at walmart last night for $8.87
  12. Remember that it requires either 3 "C" batteries or an AC adapter. I went with my mom last night so she could pick up one for my oldest niece (5). TRU only had one console left on the shelf, so we grabbed that. Then underneath where we got the console, it had a pricetag for an adapter for $9.99. Sure enough, the back of the box says that it requires either batteries or the adapter. I think it's ridiculous that people pay $60 (my mom paid $50) for something and they can't even give you a power adapter for it. Then to top things off, TRU didn't have any games that were young enough for my niece to play (they were all ~7 years). We headed to WM to try to get a game and adapter, and they had tons of the consoles on the shelf. We were able to get her a game, but there were no adapters to be found. I asked an employee and he said they just don't stay on the shelves, everytime they put them out they're gone. So we had to just go with the "C" batteries, and will let her parents find the adapter after Christmas.
  13. When we were younger, we were allowed to open 1 present on Christmas Eve (was usually a present from my grandmother). We don't really do this right now since my nieces are still so young. Also when we were younger, one of us would be "Santa" every year. (Took turns, there were three of us) "Santa" would wear a Santa hat and pass out the presents to everyone else (while still opening). It made things a lot more organized than three kids digging into whatever they could get their hands on
  14. ^ What she said... you can pick up an RF adapter for ~ $20. Or, if you have a VCR connected to the current TV, you can wire the PS2 through that.
  15. You can pick up these rings that they can snap together at WM or wherever. I'm not sure what they're called, but they're in the baby section. My youngest niece had them when she was a baby and she loved them. They link together to become like a "chain".
  16. ^ Isn't Pikmin 2 still ~ $49.99? Maybe the original Pikmin is in the $20 range.
  17. i haven't been paying attention to mall madness in the stores... i got it last year for the little girl i babysit, and my nieces are still too young for it. as for pricing, i *think* i may have seen it for $19.99 somewhere, but i couldn't say where since i don't remember. the best bet in getting it though for less than the $29.99 or so it normally costs is to get it when games are B1G1 (this is when i got it last year, when TRU had the B1G1. great value if you get a game of equal value )
  18. worked out good for you! (i wish i had aunts and uncles that spent that much on us when we were kids lol) i was going to post in here too that when i was at lord & taylor last night i saw a "double dance mat" game that was setup like DDR, with places for two to play at once and it plugged in through a/v cables, so you wouldn't need anything extra
  19. I'm sure a lot of places will be offering trade-ins on the GC for the Revolution if the Revolution offers backwards compatability for the GC. Either way, I say to get it in the bundle pack now. With some of the bundle packs, you end up only paying ~ $50 for the console and the first controller, which is what it usually costs $99 for. I'm sure he'll get enough use out of it to make it pay for itself :)
  20. Ohh yeah, I forgot that they did this last year for my niece. We were shocked when she got mail, and it as a letter from Santa sent by the PO.
  21. you'll probably end up paying $19.99 for it... after the first week of the release on dvd, the stores always put the price back up to $19.99+
  22. no idea, but i'd say to just sign up for updates from the web site if they're available. you may even score a better deal
  23. when i got my original playstation, i picked up a "mad catz" memory card and i never had any problems with it. i have an actual sony one for my ps2, but you shouldn't have a problem with another brand. you can also pick up 2-packs of them at best buy and other places. the 8mb should be suffice as well. i have tons of stuff on the same 8mb card that i've had since i got my first ps2 game... (i've deleted some old games here and there, but i have plenty of room regardless).
  24. Exactly. If you want to line up, you might as well buy it, then either sell it for a little markup to someone who didn't get to get one, or eBay it...
  25. I'm 22 and just got a GC this past year (kids I babysit got one for xmas last year), and I enjoy playing it every now and again (my ps2 is my #1 choice). I'd avoid getting a refurbished system from EB/Game Stop, since they charge ~$60 for it, and you can get a new console w/ a game (and an extra controller in most cases) for $99.99 or less! Even if you don't want the game it comes with, you can eBay it (or gift it to someone who would want it). I'd say to get the Mario Party 7 bundle pack, or find a bundle pack that includes Mario Kart: Double Dash (this game is ONLY available in bundle packs during the holidays. otherwise, you'll be going to eBay like i did)
