  1. A few years ago, when the BF WM sale started at 5 AM, the store we visit allowed customers to put items in their carts around 3:30. We then stood in the checkout lines until 5 AM for the prices to go into effect. The past couple of years, employees and security have guarded the pallets and not allowed items to be taken until just before the sale time. Last year, I believe it was about 15 minutes early... on one side of the store. Upon going to the other side of the store, employees tried to claim that it wasn't time. Had to inform them that they were allowing it on the other side of the store, at which point they used their walkie talkies to find out that it was allowed. This year, go time was 9:55 PM.
  2. The page said the order is not complete until there's a confirmation number. I tried using my PayPal debit card for my order. PP emails me a receipt once I use the card, and I haven't received one, so it looks like the charges aren't going through until the transaction completes.
  3. Same here... after receiving it a few times, it finally let me back in... got to the screen where it says it's awaiting a confirmation number... and error! Now it's having trouble logging me into my account, which I was already logged into.
  4. "We're having temporary difficulties arriving at the destination you requested, but we'd like to offer steps to help you below." Received that upon trying to submit my order, and now any time I try to add to the cart or access the cart.
  5. The one you mentioned was the 26 set piece. Both sets were 6.88, I picked up one of each. The 26 piece set has the large container with the smaller containers inside of it, while the 30 piece came in a box.
  6. Yes, they're listed at $19.96. The ones I have are Country Living and the queen size retails for $89.99, I purchased them on sale for $50 lol... Hoping to be able to grab some of the WM ones online now that I know what I missed out on (not that I saw them in the store, otherwise I would have purchased them then).
  7. Apparently, this almost happened at our WM... Following this thread now that I realized the 600 tc sheets are sateen. I have a set of these that I love from Kmart. I didn't even see the sheets anywhere in the store, and we did a couple of laps.
  8. The starter pack is selling for $49.99 on Amazon at the moment: http://www.amazon.com/Skylanders-Spyros-Adventure-Starter-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B004VQENY8/ref=sr_1_1_title_0?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1321922927&sr=1-1 (Link is for the Wii version, PS3 & Xbox are also at that price on there)
  9. We were told that there will be absolutely no price adjustments on Black ("Blue") Friday... I would imagine this also applies to the Thanksgiving day sale. (Also, price adjustments can only be made on layaways within the first 7 days)
  10. Most likely... the way our store does it, though, is that it is mandatory to work EITHER Thanksgiving OR Christmas Eve. Some end up working both, though. I'm not sure if the ads have reached the stores yet. They usually let us know, and keep it "locked up", but allow us to look at it.
  11. I work at Kmart, and what I posted is what our holiday hours schedule shows. Since scheduling is done three weeks in advance, I don't think they would decide to open at midnight at the last minute... but anything is possible. I was shocked that they actually did a midnight release for MW3.
  12. Kmart will be open from 6 AM until 9 PM on Thanksgiving. The BF hours are 5 AM - 11 PM.
  13. Here's hoping that within 10 days they get some in that they can ship out for us! I found a Frankie Stein on their site late last night, no backorder email on that one yet, but there's still time. Is she one of the more popular ones? I would imagine that explains why she costs a few dollars more?
  14. I got an email recently saying that the item is on backorder and that if they can't ship it to the store within 10 days then they will cancel it... hope it goes through!
  15. I got a Draculaura from WM's site. It's still showing as in stock, also: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Monster-High-Draculaura-Doll/14658956
  16. Below is the price guarantee, which I pulled from an item page that stated it had the pre-order price guarantee. Some "bigger" items (anticipated movie & video game releases, for example) have their own special offers per retailer on the day/week of release, so it's really up to you as far as pre-ordering goes. Amazon usually saves a few dollars on the retail price, but sometimes an extra you can get on the day of release makes up for it. Pre-order Price Guarantee Amazon.com's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and shipped. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or video game, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date. A pre-order price guarantee message will appear on your Order Summary during the checkout process. If you use 1-Click ordering, pre-order price protection will be automatically applied. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of the price change. Terms and Conditions: * Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to items sold by Amazon.com, and not to items (or prices) offered by other sellers on our site. Does not apply to any products purchased at Amazon.com's other sites, including Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca, or any other web site operated by Amazon.com or its affiliates. * Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to not-yet-released books, CDs, videos, DVDs, software, and video games sold by Amazon.com. It does not apply to other product lines or to items that have already been released. * Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to qualifying items displaying the offer message on their product detail pages. Items that do not display the offer message do not qualify, regardless of the nature of the items. * If your order enters the shipping process before the release date and the price is lowered before the end of the day of the release date, we will automatically refund your credit card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price. If you did not use a credit card to pay for your order, please contact Customer Service.
  17. Everything is wrapped, except for presents such as bikes, kitchen sets, etc, that need to be assembled. These aren't left by the tree, though, they're kept elsewhere and are "found" after the other presents are opened. No piles are left either, everything is mixed in under the tree (with the "larger" - ie, more expense, more wished-for gifts being the last to get opened) and one person distributes a present to everyone. I don't remember ever questioning wrapping paper when I was young. As we got older, we'd snoop though. My brother would go as far as slicing the tape open, removing the wrapping paper, then re-wrapping & placing fresh tape over the sliced pieces. The mother of kids I babysat for for years would always bring everything she bought to her cousin's house, and have a wrapping night. Her cousin would always sign Santa's tags, and no gifts were delivered until Christmas Eve.
  18. I've also had a Wii since it was released. You shouldn't need a cooling fan unless you aren't going to have it in a well-ventilated area (which all electronics should be). You'll probably want to pick up all 4 Wii-motes (one comes with the system), 2 nunchuks (one comes with the system). If you want to play the "classic" downloaded games, you could pick up a classic controller or simply use the wii-mote or an existing GameCube controller. If you have/had a GameCube, you can play those games on the Wii as well with the use of the GC controllers. I use Energizer rechargeable batteries in my wii-motes. I believe it cost around $15 way back when for the batteries and the wall charger. IMO, it's great because the batteries can be used for other electronics if need be. I've only used the regular batteries that came with the balance board since I got it, which was also when it was released. When they need to be replaced, I'll just put another set of regular or rechargeable batteries in it. I haven't yet seen the wall charger for it that another poster mentioned, but I personally wouldn't want a cord in the way while using the balance board.
  19. Were any of the computer deals online last BF?
  20. in my local target last year, they were in carts located throughout the clothing department.
  21. I'm not sure how it works when you sign up online, but you can give them your email address and/or phone number if you don't have your card on you.
  22. Target has the adoption center (new large playset) on sale for $29.xx this week, and I believe the Toy Book has a coupon for $10 off, making it $19.xx (50% off as it sells for $39.99 regularly).
  23. Is the coupon deal actually printed somewhere? I have not seen/heard of this, aside from in this thread. The card does give 1% cash back that can be used on future purchase(s) (you choose to use or save it) and customers are eligible for "k'ching" bonus offers (money off coupons, free drink/candy/etc, other prizes) though.
  24. Shipping comes up as $6.95 for me. 12/$30 - $10 off $30 coupon - $10 gc from mypoints = $19.11 w/ sh & tax ($1.59/bottle :))
