The 360 isn't really in stores yet, so there could still be a price drop on the ps2 when the 360 does actually begin getting stocked on the shelves.
-
until the 2nd wave of the ps3 is released, the ps2 will probably stay at the $149 price, then it will most likely drop to $99.

yeah, my bf also just buys things at whatever store he goes to first. i don't like to buy anything other than the necessities without a discount

wal-mart i'd say... i think they're totes are generally cheaper than target's year-round. i'd check the circulars from this week though to double check.

the only ones i've ever really heard of are 1800contacts and visiondirect.com . you can find coupon codes for both online (and both are listed at upromise.com i believe if you are a upromise member)

i got the final fantasy crystal chronicles game new off of ebay for $10-12, but i still would see it in stores for $49.99 when i had purchased it (a few months back). however, you can usually find that one, as well as zelda the wind waker in the 2 / $30 deals, or even listed as $19.99 online regularly

Talk about dreaming big--my 5 y/o wants a computer!
civicracinggirl7 replied to outnumbered's topic in 2005
i don't think it's too young for him to be using a computer. too young for his own, yes. there are a lot of games geared for kids that can promote learning skills. there are little "computers" geared for kids that are pretty much little learning centers. there are laptop ones and "desktop" ones that have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, and they all have some little games on them that teach anything from counting, spelling, match, etc. perhaps you could get one of those for him last minute? i'm not sure how much they go for though. -

Yeah, I read about this on eBay's message boards (the thing I'm waiting for was an eBay purchase) and a lot of users on there said that the postal service really just places the media mail and parcel or whatever it is on the backburner until all of the priority and expedited have been sorted through and put in the proper direction. So when they get a chance to go through the media and parcel, they go through it... and during the holiday season it could take a looong time. Some have said that items shipped using these methods during the holiday season may not arrive until sometime near the end of January!

noaimhere: I'm not sure what Dr. Laura is, but it seemed that all of the arrangements on Proflowers when I ordered came with a free clear vase, but you could upgrade to another for an extra cost. The arrangement I ordered was shown with a red vase online, but it cost $12.99 to upgrade to the red vase. However, with the new arrangement they are supposed to send they are supposedly including the red vase at no extra charge. mdcrim: I'm glad someone has had a positive experience with them. As I said, I usually order from FTD and have always been happy with them. My bf has had flowers sent to me from 1800flowers, and my mom has had some sent from there as well, and I've never found there's to be as fresh as the ones FTD sends from the local florists. great dane mom: I got the emails for the deals on the roses, but I had already ordered the holiday tradition arrangement. Seemed like a good deal though, especially the one with the upgraded vase and chocolates

You can report a missing order on their site here: https://secure.fye.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2flogin%2fprofile.aspx%3fwhat%3dorder&what=order You can email them here: http://shop.fye.com/support/email.aspx My sister and I are both waiting on packages that were shipped on or around the 6th, so it could just be taking forever like ours. However, I believe the only time I ordered from FYE's web site it came via UPS or DHL, so maybe not...

you can pick up acoustic guitars pretty cheap, and pretty much anywhere if he'd be interested in an acoustic. otherwise, i'd say what another said and get a gift card/certificate for musicians friend or a local guitar store. you could always do $50 or so on the certificate and pick up one or two other things with the remaining money you have to spend on him. my bf pitched in with his mom to get a new electric guitar for christmas, it was around $400.

When I order from FTD, they always send them from a local florist, so even if the arrangement differs slightfly from what's shown, it still looks great and is fresh.

I had ordered my mom flowers from Proflowers.com for an early Christmas surprise (any time I order flowers for her I have them sent to work, even if it's earlier than the holiday, etc.). I usually use FTD, but when I was looking at their prices they wanted around $12 for delivery, then wanted to charge for a vase too! Any other time of the year, I don't experience with them. (I hope this is just a holiday thing and it's not going to stay like that :)) So I checked 1800flowers.com, and they were going the same route with charging around $12 for delivery and charging for a vase. I was going to give up, but I checked out Proflowers. They offered a free clear vase, but delivery was still $9.99. I found a $10 off link, so with that it brought the arrangement I was looking at to $29.99, but I still didn't want to spend $40 on them if I didn't have to. I figured I'd keep looking around, or just not get flowers, whichever. Since I had begun the checkout, Proflowers sent me a 10% off link to use to complete my checkout. Alright, so my total came to just over $36 shipped. I had them set to be delivered today. She won't be at work a full day tomorrow, and it cost extra to guarantee a morning delivery on Friday. My sister works with her, so she called this morning to tell me that the flowers came... BUT, they came without a vase, were not the right arrangement at ALL, and they were DEAD! (I had showed her the arrangement after ordering them.) She ended up calling Proflowers and explaining to them what happened. They say they will ship out a fresh arrangement (of the proper arrangement) in a red vase (which is shown with the arrangement on the site, but the vase was $13 extra) and they will have it delivered tomorrow morning. My sister said I could expect an email confirmation, but I had trouble getting online when I spoke to her. It's obviously working now, but I haven't received a confirmation. I do hope that the arrangement shows up tomorrow and that it's the right one (and not dead!). :)

Need advice about giving boy cabbage patch kid to 5 yr DS
civicracinggirl7 replied to mjmcca's topic in 2005
At that age, it's hard to tell... I suppose you could give it to him, and watch his reaction to opening it. If he seems like he doesn't like it, you could always say that Santa must have put the wrong name on it and it was meant for his sister. -
I turn the bathroom up to 70 if I'm taking a shower, then turn it down when I'm done. I keep the main one set to the middle of the dial (doesn't have numbers) for a few hours during the day to warm up, then turn it down again.

i got my catalog a few days ago... ordered online once and now i get a catalog at least once a week lol hopefully i'll get a gift card to use with it :)

It seems the majority are sweepstakes/contests, so even just a subforum for those would help out a lot :)
-
yeah, if they were split up into sub-forums it should be easier to navigate :)
