Do you have a Kinko's or similar nearby? I'm sure they could help out if anything :)
-
my niece's birthday is january 3rd, so i'll be hitting some kind of after-xmas sale to get her a couple presents. you should be able to find deals the day after christmas, but that entire week they should also run some kinds of deals.
-
How old is your daughter? If she's still pretty young, then I'd say just go to your local WM/K-Mart/Staples/etc. and pick up a Christmas-themed printer paper. (You could also just use a Christmas-themed background to be printed on white paper or color of your choice). Then format it like a normal letter, and set the address as "S. Claus, 1 North Pole Drive, North Pole" etc.

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letters with Numbers
civicracinggirl7 replied to mom04's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Was this including the numbers, or was it just the letters? My sister got my youngest niece the one with the letters & numbers at W-M. She picked it up on BF just to get it out of the way. The price listed on the site is the "everday price". However, WM is the only place so far that we have seen it where it includes the numbers. Otherwise, you can find the one with just the letters cheaper elsewhere -
I posted it up in the deal finder, but I wasn't sure if it was allowed to be posted up in here. I'm Geico-insured so they sent me an email about it when it first started up, but like the first post says, you don't need to be a Geico customer to participate. There's a good deal of discounts to be found on there

Movie theaters?
civicracinggirl7 replied to queenofshopping's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
np, glad a lot of people found it useful :) my bf and i hardly go to the movies, so i haven't actually had a chance to take advantage of this yet. some theatres don't accept them for the first 10-14 days of a release... but after that you also beat the rush of everyone else going to see a film -
How early r u camping out for Xbox360 on the 18th?
civicracinggirl7 replied to allystl's topic in 2005
Why should they bother? They're in business to make money. If someone had the $300-400 on them right there and wanted one, so be it. -

i heard that there have been quite a few counts of them breaking / "blowing up", and of course they can't be exchanged since there are none to replace them with. -
yeah, maddox has a hilarious site: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.com or http://maddox.xmission.com

IZ Green by Zizzle $9.98 @Amazon
civicracinggirl7 replied to Great Dane Mom's topic in Online Hot Deals
it's similar to i-dog... but this one you can use to make your own music supposedly. i don't think the i-dog has that capability, but i could be wrong about it. -
if there are still good b&bw deals, then i'd get two of those and then a couple candles and bundle it together in a little basket. you could do this with any kind of lotion/body wash/bubble bath though, so you could probably pick up an "aromatherapy" pack at kmart/wal-mart/target for cheap, then get some candles in a matching scent or so and get a basket from the dollar store
-
you can route the a/v through a vcr or dvd player as well, although you will have some lines running through the picture. i had my ps2 hooked up this way up until i got a new tv recently.

Portable DVD Player
civicracinggirl7 replied to couponlover2005's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
kmart and walmart both have ones that are $98-99 right now. both are folding, but i would imagine you can fold it out to be completely flat, as you can purchase a netting of sorts to put the portable dvd players in on the back of the front seats. -
Movie theaters?
civicracinggirl7 replied to queenofshopping's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
geico has something called "geico privileges" now (you don't need to be a geico customer to sign up, and it's free to join). you can get discounted movie tickets from there. here's the pricing, all are adult ticket pricing. i've never actually ordered them from there yet, but they mail the tickets to you, so it must act as some kind of coupon/voucher towards any movie. it does say that you may not be able to use the tickets during the first 10-14 days of a movie's run, and select theatres will add a surcharge. AMC Movie Tickets $ 6.00 Clearview Cinemas Movie Tickets $ 5.50 Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Magic Johnson, and Star Theatre Movie Tickets $ 6.00 Loews Monday-Thursday Weekday Escape Ticket $ 5.50 National Amusements Movie Tickets $ 7.50 Regal Cinemas, United Artists Theatres, and Edwards Theatres Movie Tickets $ 6.50 anyway, if you want to sign up to read it all then it's: http://www.geicoprivileges.com -
both of my nieces (2 - 3 in a couple weeks, and 5) love the play kitchens also. just avoid the one that's around ~$30 at wal-mart. my sister got this for my niece last christmas, since she was only going to be turning 2 she didn't know if she should get an expensive one or not. i had to put it together, which meant trying to bend half of the pieces to fit together. all in all, it's not very sturdy at all... might as well spend the extra $ on one that will last for a while (she now has a little tikes one)
