  1. Coffee!! I can't function without it.
  2. Well, I'll flame you just because you asked for it . But actually I think you're idea is funny.
  3. We're normally up by 3:30 am and out of the house by 4 am at the latest .
  4. It depends on the ads, but most years I've went to Kmart first and then to Target. Last year I actually went to Walmart first, but I'll never do that again. It was a madhouse, most of the shoppers were rude, and most of the employees were clueless.
  5. I was first in line at Kmart and Target for a few years in a row. Kmart is about 2 blocks from my house so it's easy to get there quickly. I was in line at Kmart at 4 am, and on my way to Target by 5:30 am.
  6. Either I wrap the gifts myself or my DH wraps them for me.
  7. I've been obsessed with BF this year since June . Fortunately for me my DH is every bit obsessed with it as I am:yay:.
  8. Maybe this is because I'm such a shopaholic, but I like going out on Dec. 26 to see what's left over that I know I can get great deals on in the following week. I normally get most of the items bought for Birthday and Christmas gifts during the two to three weeks following Christmas.
  9. Yes, I still get excited to see the ads on Thanksgiving because it means BF is finally here . Also, even though I enjoy seeing the ads online and greatly appreciate all the hard work that it takes posting the ads, it would be my luck that one of the stores would decide to change their BF ad at the last minute. Then I wouldn't have any idea what I was looking for.
  10. A few years ago, we bought a lot of gifts for friends/family at after Christmas sales. I stashed all of the gifts when we got home, and couldn't find any of them when it came time for birthdays. We finally found the stuff about a year later.
  11. It varies by store. The Walmarts around here put the pallets of doorbuster items in different spots every year. Most of the time the items are not in their specific departments. I have to ask an employee where everything is, and hopefully I asked the right employee. I've had problems in previous years with most of the employees that I asked having no clue where the doorbuster items that I was interested in were located. Last year my DH was sent to several different locations in the store looking for the DVD player that was in their BF ad .
  12. We normally go out for lunch. Then come home and take a nap. Then we go back out shopping. I'm addicted.
  13. I like to use boxes and wrap them. I always have tons of wrapping paper left over from the previous year at Target's after Christmas clearance. I tell myself every year that I won't buy any more wrapping paper, then I find some cute designs in the store and can't help myself.
  14. Target and Best Buy.
  15. If you are talking about the DVDs in the Walmart Doorbusters ad, those normally vary by store. If this is the same as last year, the employees don't really know what they have. Last year the cheap DVDs came shipped in a big box, with a notice stating not to open them until BF. When it came time for the Doorbusters sale, the employees just took the lids off the boxes and everyone had to dig through them. The employees hadn't even seen any of the DVDs until they opened the boxes on BF.
  16. My DH is kind of weird. He loves to shop as much as I do, and loves to hunt for bargains. He wouldn't miss BF shopping for anything. I called him last night at work and told him that the Walmart ad was already posted here and he was so excited that the ads were beginning to show up.
  17. I own the TV Edition of Scene It and while it does have questions about current shows (such as Alias and Sopranos), it also has a lot of question from the 70s-80s-90s. You have to really be up on your TV trivia in order to do well in this game. My DH and I are trivia buffs and absolutely love all the Scene Its including the TV Edition, but we have two friends our age that don't really know anything about TV trivia and can only answer maybe 20 percent of the trivia. Unless your children watch quite a bit of Nick at Nite or TVLand, I wouldn't think this would be a good game for them.
  18. Thanks Brad!
  19. We don't have kids, but there is no way we would miss BF shopping. All my Christmas shopping is done, but my DH and I love to go BF shopping. Even if it's like last year and there's not much on sale that we want, we still go out. The whole fun of BF shopping is the thrill of the chase.
  20. I don't have a list. All of my Christmas shopping is done already, but I still have to shop on BF. Too many bargains for me to stay home.
  21. My DH and I both have a lot of vacation time saved up, so we took off the week of Thanksgiving through Wednesday of the following week.
  22. I like GCs. Most of my friends have no idea what to get me most of time for Christmas and Birthdays, so this makes it easier on them. I even told my DH that it was okay to give me GCs for Christmas this year. I am difficult to shop for and he always has problems coming up with good gift ideas for me. I don't give GCs very often (except sometimes to my DH). I shop often and normally run across the most perfect gifts for my friends, but if I'm having a bad year finding special gifts, I don't see anything wrong with giving GCs.
  23. I agree completely. The last two years on BF the Targets here have put the big ticket hot sale items in carts already for their customers, so all you would have to do is come in and get a cart with the item(s) already in them and finish your shopping.
  24. The good normally outweighs the bad. I can't say that I've never had any bad experiences on BF, but that's not the norm. I'm a really talkative person and I've met some great people over the years while waiting for the stores to open on BF.
  25. I manage a game store and Scene It has been one of our biggest sellers so far this year. Most of my friends and family are avid game players and we all love Scene It. You can go to Scene It's web site at http://www.screenlifegames.com/sceneit.aspx and play demo versions of most of the games. That is the easiest way to find out what the questions are basically like.
