  1. We didn't get in any big hurries this year. The only places we stood in line were Bass Pro on Wednesday and Academy this morning. But I'm pretty sure we were able to get everything on our lists. The only exception was a little doll set at Kohl's that we just couldn't find. It was still available online, but my daughter said she had just wanted to look at it and wasn't sure she wanted to get it anyway. Of course, we weren't after anything like TVs or Computers, but it sounds like we would have been alright even if we had been.
  2. I've really enjoyed the Discord server. I wonder though...Do you think it affected the number of posts here on the site? Also, (just because I don't know how it works), does less traffic on the site itself matter in the grand scheme, as long as we use the partner links?
  3. it's so slow. And when I do get to the page I want, the price is wrong .
  4. I went for the first time last year. The line was so long, there was no way. But, getting through the store wasn't bad. I saw what I was looking for, went to the car and bought online from my phone. Picked it up in store the next day. MUCH better.
  5. FYI... QVC has the Cooks Essentials 5.3 qt on sale for $69.98 with free shipping. I ordered this for my daughter for Christmas, during Christmas in July, and gave $99.98 for it. Too bad it was so long ago, I'd ask for a price adjustment . https://www.qvc.com/Cooks-Essentials-53qt-Digital-Air-Fryer-w-10-Presets-%26-Pan.product.K46295.html?sc=PRODFEED Also, if you apply for and use a Qcard, you can get $20 off your first purchase, so this could be $49.98.
  6. The only ad I still need is Atwoods, which I believe is either a local or at least a regional store so we won't see it on here. I get so spoiled to getting the ads early, that one is always a frustration. LOL
  7. CDKeys has it for $45.99 right now. They've had it down to $41.99 twice that I know of in the past month. I bought it for 41.99 last week. Just keep an eye on them. https://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/memberships/12-month-xbox-live-gold-membership-xbox-one-360 I've found it down to $30-$35 in the past, but not the last 2 or 3 years.
  8. Just figured out there is no way to submit a grocery pick up receipt. Now I'm upset about this all over again.
  9. Man, one of the hardest parts is finding something you think they'd like, but then thinking "ya, she probably already has that".
  10. As everyone starts shipping, please don't forget to PM me with your tracking numbers. Also, and I'm starting this one early, PLEASE post when you receive your gifts, even if you are not planning to open them yet.
  11. No, their ads used to be 20-25 pages long.
  12. WOW. We don't have a Gordman's anymore, so I opened this expecting to be really sad about what we're missing as it was always one of our favorite stops. Gone are the huge Gordman's BF ads, I guess.
  13. They had a 5qt for $199.99 in last year's ad.
  14. My car has the nav system, but the entire screen has "slid down", if that makes sense, so I can barely change presets on my radio stations and using the nav is almost always out of the question (I've googled it, and this is apparently an issue in a lot of Toyotas). I've been considering getting a new GPS unit too. We didn't have that kind of problems with gps devices.
  15. My ornaments are packaged up and will go out in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully she will have them before she puts up her tree . Secret Santa is a different animal. I've had so many ideas, but none of them are working out so far. Hopefully real inspiration will strike.
  16. I don't shop Macy's, but I think most rebates anymore are sent to you on a Visa gift card. Surely if it was store credit, they would have to disclose that, right?
  17. OMG, y'all! Black Friday is NEXT WEEK! The season is almost over.
  18. Wow, sorry to hear about your heart attack. I hope you are doing well now.
  19. When you drink as much Dr. Pepper as my household does, that alone makes it a good ad. LOL
  20. There was a name and address missing from the cards list. Thank you Sunni0913 for catching my mistake! I have sent her info to everyone participating in the cards, so please check your messages.
  21. Mine are both Cook's Essentials, from QVC. I can't speak to any of the other brands.
  22. I got an $89 TV on a lightning deal one year, and literally about threw my laptop in the floor because I got so excited. LOL
  23. I have 2 on my counter. I started with a 3.6 (or there about) qt, decided that wasn't quite big enough so bought a 5.6. I use them all the time. They are like a convection oven, in that they are cooking with hot air. But the shape allows the air to flow around the food (or something like that). I "fry" chicken legs in it and they are better than my actual fried chicken legs. But I tend to overcook chicken legs because I'm so paranoid I won't get them done. I do french fries, tator tots, fish sticks, any of those frozen convenience foods. I've done a whole turkey breast (see picture), that came out awesome. But my favorite thing to cook in it is steak. Yes, steak. I do add about 3 minutes to the preset, because the preset is not quite done enough for me. The trick to crispy is, you DO still need to use oil. Just spray coat what you're cooking though, it's not like dropping it in a vat of hot oil. And the excess will drip off, so it's still healthier than real frying, if that's your goal.
  24. I had googled "best gaming headsets", and found a list of 5. But they were expensive (like a few of the ones in your link, but they were all up there). Thanks for the link.
  25. My son has mentioned wanting a new headset for his game. I see them in several ads, but how to tell the difference? Is one better than the other? I should mention, he has one that works. He says it's "just a cheap Walmart headset". But the brand I see at Walmart is the same brand in all the ads, so maybe he's looking for something more expensive and high tech? I would just ask him, but a) he's told me not to worry about it because my budget has gotten tighter, and b ) he ALWAYS knows what he's getting for Christmas . SO, having said all that, what do YOU look for in a gaming headset? Would you be happy with the $29.99 Turtle Beach Recon 150 I can get at Best Buy today? Or would you be happier with the $44.99 Turtle Beach Stealth 300 in the Target ad? Neither?
