  1. Not sure about tablets, but I had a Lenovo 2 in 1 laptop and it was a piece of junk. I would go with the Samsung. Unfortunately this is probably too late posted to be of help, but for anyone else.
  2. I didn't go out anywhere to shop. I did most everything online with a few items bought at the nearest outlet stores about a week before BF. Our nearest big mall was packed and it made me exhausted just to look at the pictures that were being posted. I have also picked up some things throughout the year. We only have one daughter and SIL and 2 granddaughters to buy for, so no need for a lot of shopping. Daughter makes an Amazon wish list for the granddaughters with a few for them. I check out the items and then go shopping for the best deals, which are not necessarily on Amazon. Used to shop at Staples, Best Buy and Target on BF but none of them had anything of interest to me. The few DVDs that I wanted weren't on sale. Plus they are on my Amazon wishlist, so DD or DH might get them for me. I think I bought more for myself at the online small business craft stores plus a few clothes and a pair of shoes. Just not into the BF craze any more.
  3. Got an email from Lowe's...........Apparently this has been cancelled due to supply chain problems.
  4. I really 2 things I buy over and over. Norton AV and Turbo Tax. I look for DVDs but lately the only ones I need are never on sale. I was hoping to buy the Kohl's throws but really don't like the patterns that have been posted so far.
  5. Was just at BB this morning to get a price match on a TV we had to buy (ours died) last weekend. I read the online "rules" and it said that they won't price match BF deals for sales from Sunday before Thanksgiving until Sunday after Thanksgiving. So if this is from the ad for that time period they won't price match. However, I did get my price match because the pricing was going on right now and it said "Price Match Guarantee" right on the item page. I nicely pointed out to her what the price match rules on their site said as well as what it said on the item page of their website and after consulting a manager they did credit me back the $150.
  6. I always buy my Norton Anti-Virus renewal. And some DVDs. We used to go to Staples many years ago and get all their free with rebate items.
  7. Not in the mood, either. The only people we buy for are our daughter, SIL and 1yo granddaughter. Unfortunately they live in NY and we are in DE so we aren't allowed in the state unless we quarantine for 2 weeks before visiting them. If things don't improve either they won't get their presents for a long time or else they will have to meet us somewhere in PA so we can exchange them. I have all theirs but a Visa GC for SIL purchased and I won't get that until Dec 1st when I can get it without an activation fee from AAA. It just won't be the same without spending it with them. I still have to buy for DH but we have had some house repairs and had to buy a new TV the beginning of this week as ours died. And wouldn't you know that the model we bought isn't one of them on sale at BB so we can't get them to price match. Will keep watching though.
  8. Except for a GC for our son-in-law, I'm done with him, daughter and granddaughter thanks to Prime days and other online stores. About $200 each. Not sure about hubby but we blew probably a lot of it for each other this weekend because our main TV died and we had to buy a new one to the tune of about $1000. So may not do too much for each other. Hubby hasn't been able to do his part time job much this year due to the pandemic and not much of an increase in SS income. Unless it's something we desperately need I probably won't buy much over BF.
  9. I usually wait until DH is out of the house and then I wrap them. We don't have a lot of people to buy for, though, so it helps. DH, DD, SIL and now a new granddaughter. We bought DD and SIL a rocking chair they wanted (and delivered it when the baby was born in November) so less for them as well.
  10. I'm thinking I won't even put up a tree this year, which is a shame as I have a ton of ornaments. We will be going to our daughter's in NY (6.5 hour drive) for the holiday, probably 5-6 days. We have no other relatives to visit, so no one else will see it. I have had health problems this year with a major surgery the beginning of October, so I guess the recovery has taken a lot out of me. We will probably put up the outside lights so we don't look like Scrooge. I spend so many years doing it all myself that it just lost it's appeal. At least we have a new granddaughter so maybe that will give me the Christmas Spirit back.
  11. I had a list of about 8 DVD sets to finish up series. Most of them are several years old or more and yet I only found 2 to purchase. One at a reasonable price (Grimm last season) and season 12 of Big Bang. That's my DH favorite so I splurged a bit more than I normally would since it is the last one. I was amazed that these older ones are still $20 and up. I can wait. Even Amazon doesn't have these older ones at a reasonable price. I guess it's the streaming thing and maybe DVDs will be harder and harder to find.
  12. I'm having the same feelings. I had major surgery a month ago and still not feeling up to par so maybe that's what is causing the funk DD is having a baby in a couple of weeks, but it will be too small to really enjoy with her. We are giving them one large furniture purchase so that's that. Only other person is DH and I'm sending him on a trip he has wanted for a long time, so not much for him either. So I really won't be doing much shopping at all except for a few DVDs and my Norton subscription. Not much at all. Hope I can get more in the spirit in time to decorate.
  13. I am looking forward to Best Buy and Target for the few DVDs I want to fill in my seasons. I just came to the conclusion that I probably won't be doing much shopping at all. I'm giving DH a trip to the OshKosh Air Show in June and DD is having a baby in a few weeks and their (expensive) present is an Amish rocking chair and ottoman, so not much more there. I bought most of the baby stuff on Prime Day and since she will only be a month old I don't see any reason for a lot more toys right now especially since she got a ton of stuff for her shower and from other friends. I just had major abdominal surgery 3.5 weeks ago and still recovering so I'm not sure how much decorating I will be able to do along with 2 trips to NY....one for the baby and one for Christmas.
  14. I agree. I had a Lenovo 2 in 1 and less than a year the SSD failed and had to be replaced. In another year the motherboard failed. I threw in the towel and went back to Dell.
  15. Still waiting on 1 present for my DH, then that and one more to wrap. Cards to be mailed are gone and ones to be hand delivered in the neighborhood will be done next Monday. I make my own cards and have 3 more to make for DH, DD, and SIL. I am still waiting on other orders for myself, but they don't count.
