It's a free for all in my house, and I take pictures of it all while it happens . As far as separating things, I used to put everything in a pile, and it got divvied out before they started opening. When the grandbabies came, I started separating them because I hated that they had to sit there and wait. I was sure they didn't understand and I couldn't stand ANY disappointment. Funny, I never thought of it that way when my own kids were little. LOL The oldest grandsons are old enough to read a little, especially their own names, now, so I might put them all out again and let them be the ones to hand them out.

Congrats winners!

My favorite contest! #1 - I've been out here for 3 days, surely there's something in this ad I want! #2 - Awww, look at all those idiots standing outside in the cold. We're all nice and warm in here. Just a couple more hours and we'll unlock the door. #3 - If I could just touch the enchanted XBox One game, I know all my Christmas wishes will come true!

Not a thing in there I need, but I bet I look at this at least once a day waiting for the next one. LOL

It's coming quick! What's your Black Friday budget for this year?
Bopeep replied to magickallight's topic in 2018
I've been using Swagbucks for 8 or 9 years. In that time, I've earned 199,400 "swagbucks". The "value" of the buck has gone up and down a little over the years, but right now each buck is worth .01 if you buy Amazon cards (which is all I buy), so that's almost $2000 free money they've given me. I am not as devoted as a lot of users, so if you really get into it you can earn a lot. I do all my internet through Swagbucks searches (example: I don't type gottadeal dot com, I search GottaDeal). I watch for what they call SwagCodes, which are just extra bucks. Most of my bucks come from shopping, and that's mostly for work. The company I order all of our office supplies through offers Swagbucks. Sometimes it's 2 SB/dollar, sometimes it's all the way up to 8 or 10. And some of those orders are rather large. You can also make Swagbucks by watching videos, answering surveys, and other activities. Here's the deal on the shopping though. You can't use Swagbucks AND support Gottadeal. The office supply company I use is not affiliated with GottaDEAL. 'Tis better to go through GD to get to stores you know are affiliated. The Swagbucks aren't worth that much . -
I have 34 on my list. That includes Secret Santa and Ornament Exchange here on GD, Dirty Santa with the family, employees, and grandkids' teachers. Without the extras, I have 21 family members. And of those, 7 are musts (kids and grandkids)

I got that notice too! I use the card now, but to be honest, I don't use it AT Target much. LOL. I shop at Target a lot around Black Friday and Christmas, but hardly at all the rest of the year.

I'm sure I'm just overlooking it, but I feel like I've looked everywhere. Can someone point me to the list of last year's ad items? Not the ads themselves, I have those. But the list. I'm 99.8% sure that gets archived, and I've accessed it in the past. **Never Mind. I found it. Thanks!

I'm looking for one of these this year too. It didn't occur to me to hope they would go on sale. LOL That, and I'd like to find a pair of work boots for my son for around $60 - $70. Although, we've recently figured out he's growing again, so I might just let him buy his own boots (he's 23 and 6'2").

Happy October. It's OU/Texas week! Boomer Sooner!

I always count on our 3rd quarter profit sharing bonus. I'm not sure we're getting one this quarter, so honestly I'm a little stressed. I've already gotten a few things for the most important on my list, and I don't have to get anything for the rest, but I hate that. I keep thinking my oldest grandson is old enough to remember that Grama gets him lots of presents, and still too young to understand Grama can't afford it this year. It'll work out. I believe in Santa Claus. You are my hero. Every year I think I will horde my Amazon gc from Swagbucks and use them for Christmas. But then I always find so much I can use those gift cards on throughout the year and it never happens. LOL -
I read all your lists as they come in, and I mentally start shopping as I read. LOL.

WooHoo! And, we're OFF

White Christmas and Holiday Inn are my favorites. I guess Holiday Inn isn't technically a Christmas movie.

It’s that time of year! Can you feel the excitement? It is time to sign up for the GottaDEAL Exchanges! If you want to join in on the fun, please send me a PM no later than Wednesday, October 31. Please put "Secret Santa 2018" in the subject line. I will do my best to have the names picked and back out to you by Saturday, November 3. You know there have to be rules, so here they are (please read before signing up): 1. Secret Santa is just like it sounds - a secret exchange of gifts! There's a MINIMUM of $10 before shipping. If you choose to spend more, please don't be disappointed if your partner doesn't. 2. Ornament Exchange is also just like it sounds - an exchange of ornaments! There's a MINIMUM of $5 before shipping. If you choose to spend more, please don't be disappointed if your partner doesn't. 3. Card Exchange is also as it sounds - an exchange of holiday greeting cards. Unlike the other two, however, you send (a card) to everyone who signs up and you get (a card) from everyone who signs up! If you have a favorite holiday recipe feel free to include it with the cards you send out. There is no minimum or delivery confirmation but please understand that you send a card to everyone on the list so if 50 people join the exchange you will be spending $25.00 for postage. (The current cost for a first class stamp as of the time of this posting is 50 cents). 4. Tracking (aka delivery confirmation) is a MUST. Please PM me the tracking number and how it is being shipped (USPS or UPS) so I can keep track of everything. If you send via USPS Priority it should be included at no charge, but it is always best to check for yourself. 5. Insurance from the USPS is also a MUST. Check with the post office nearest you for the cost. 6. Make sure your item(s) is/are properly packed and with plenty of padding. 7. Everything must be new/unused within reason. Used books, CDs, and DVDs are okay as long as they are in a like new condition that you would be okay with receiving. 8. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, October 31st (you have until midnight CT). I should have names out by Saturday, November 3. 9. The last day to ship is Saturday, December 8th. If for some reason you cannot ship by this date please let me know ASAP and then ship priority. 10. If you are participating in the Card Exchange please feel free to mail them any time but make sure to keep holiday mail delivery times in mind. 11. You must be a member with some posting activity, to participate. This helps to make sure that only dedicated GottaDealers are participating and we have less of a chance of people flaking out. 12. If you participate in the SS/OE, please post when you receive your package even if you are waiting until later to open. 13. Any decisions made by the exchange host are final. Each case or question will be given fair treatment and consideration. Please include in your PM: 1. Your forum username, your name and address 2. Your email address, in case I need to contact you and can’t reach you through PM 3. The exchanges you would like to take part in (Secret Santa, Ornament and/or Card) 4. The answers to the questions below if you are going to participate in Secret Santa/Ornament exchange Are you male or female? What is your t-shirt size? Are you married? Kids? If so, gender and age Pets? Allergies, restrictions, etc that your SS may need to know? Would you accept homemade food (such as cookies)? Any absolute dislikes? Anything you really don’t want any more of (i.e. coffee cups, knick knacks, etc)? Favorite Crafts or Hobbies? What do you do for a living? What is something you like to do with your family? Do you collect anything? Favorite Fast Food Establishment? Favorite Candy/Sweet/Finger Food? What is your favorite color? Do you like lotions? If so what kinds? Do you like scented candles? What scent? Any favorite sports teams or Nascar drivers? What's your favorite type of music? Who is your favorite musical artist? What's your favorite movie? What's your favorite holiday movie? What kind of books do you like to read? Do you have a favorite author? Who? What's your favorite thing to do during your ‘me time’? What is your favorite winter activity? Something that you wouldn’t buy yourself but have always wanted? Would you prefer your gifts wrapped, or no? If you had $10 to shop for yourself at Target, what would you likely look for? What else would you like your Secret Santa to know? This is not an official GottaDeal.com event, so participate at your own risk. GottaDeal can't be held responsible if you do not receive anything. Speaking of not receiving anything, hopefully everything goes as planned and no elves are needed, but please let me know if you are willing to step up in case someone does not receive their SS/OE package. I can't think of any good reason to have the Echo Auto. And yet, I'm quite confident I will end up owning one. In fact, I requested a pre-order invite. What can I say? They get me every time. LOL On the other hand, I feel pretty confident also in saying I won't be getting the microwave.

I have 4 employees. Last year, I got them each a gel hot/cold pack (there had been some discussion about them a few months earlier so I ordered them on the sly. lol) and I ordered Mrs. Prindables chocolate coated caramel apples from QVC. They went over well and I know they will be getting one again this year. I also give them to the grandkids' teachers. https://www.qvc.com/kitchen-&-food/mrs.-prindables/_/N-lglvZ1z12yri/c.html?redirectTerm=mrs.+prindables

I love the charts! They have come in so handy over the years. I can't volunteer to help, but I want everyone that does help to know how very very much you are all appreciated!

I usually have all of my shopping done online (thanks Gottadeal!) before BF actually hits. But out I still go . I love it and I would want to go even if there was absolutely nothing left to get. My sister and daughter in law do most of the buying when we're out, but I can always find a few things to pick up in store.
-
This is going to sound cliche, and not really going to be helpful to you, but I just want to be thought of. My favorite gift last year was one I didn't get. My daughter in law took the time to go online and look up weighted blankets. I would love to have one, and she knows it, and she did some research. Now, it turned out she couldn't find one she could afford. But the fact that she put thought into it made me cry. I honestly don't even remember what I ended up getting from them, but I'll always remember that she thought of me. I raised (and spoiled) 2 boys, and I just never get that out of any of them.
