Congratulations winners! This is my favorite contest every year, and I so enjoyed reading everyone's captions.

1 week left to get signed up! C'mon and play with us. You know you want to.

That's a good price on the dutch ovens, if you happen to be in the market for one (or 2, as the case may be). Not a bad price on the KA stand mixer either. I don't have a Costco membership. When it says After $xx.xx off, is that a rebate situation?

When we get together with the big family, we do finger foods. Everybody brings whatever they want. Someone can be responsible for paper plates, napkins, and cups, someone needs to be designated to bring drinks or everyone can bring their own. For our more immediate family (there are 24 of us), we get together at my mom's and have chicken & dumplins. I make the dumplins and rolls at home and take them, my oldest sister fries chicken and takes it, my other sister lives with my mom and she makes fried potatoes and spaghetti in tomato sauce (that's a side in our family). Personally, I would not get a bigger tree to decorate for the family. I'm sure your 4' tree is beautiful and just right for your home. I don't know how big your house is, but it might seem pretty cramped when you bring in 35 extra people. A larger tree is going to make it feel even more so. My best advice: don't stress! And don't think you have to do it all alone. It's supposed to be fun so make it as easy as you can so you can enjoy it.

"Like the past two years, Walmart will spread the excitement of Black Friday savings over three events throughout November" I mean, I get their point, but spreading it out over the whole month kind of takes away the "excitement" factor. Not saying it's not a good thing, it's just not an "exciting" thing anymore (imo) .

I don't usually have a set budget, but you are right that what money I have won't go as far this year. Going to have to get creative to keep the grandkids in the loot they have come to expect, LOL.

We are off Thursday and Friday. Back in the day, I would take off BF. And before I could do that, the sales started early morning so I would get up and go shopping, then go to work .
-
Photo #1: I, too, sometimes want to find a quiet corner of the store to just sit and play with toys for a bit. Photo #2: These boxes seem awful light, are you sure these weren't for the display models? Photo #3: When Black Friday and laundry day coincide

That would be awesome (in my opinion)

Congrats winners, and thanks for some really cool ideas!

We make a lot of cookies and candies to give out, but I never really considered those gifts. I mean, I guess they are (obviously), but if it weren't for the cookie trays the recipients are not people we would buy gifts for. Does that make sense? Anyway, I've tried my hand at many crafts, and failed spectacularly almost every time. I just see it in my head and think it seems so simple, go spend a lot of money on supplies, and end up with what looks like a 3rd grade art project. My sister crochets and she can turn out some beautiful creations. We all have a blanket or 2 made by her and all the new babies get a blanket. So a few years ago she pointed out some chunky yarn at Walmart and said she wanted a blanket made of that. I was going to just buy her the yarn, but decided to make the blanket for her since she has made so many for all of us. I looked up the directions on Pinterest, I think they called it finger knitting or something like that, and thought even I can't mess this up, LOL. I can't promise it will stay together if it ever has to go through the washing machine (the parts where you run out of yarn and have to stitch a new skein on kind of had me nervous) but I was kinda proud of it .

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088BGR1G3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Because the dog deserves gifts too. These are the best chew toys I've ever found. My pup could tear everything I bought him to shreds in minutes. He's had one of these for 4 years and it's still solid (yet chewable).

Just over 2 weeks to join! It's shaping up to be a low turnout this year. I know things are tough though, so I certainly understand. I also know not everyone hangs around all year, so some haven't trickled back in yet.

I don't do stockings anymore, but when my boys were kids I filled them with candy. When they were really little, I'd put a stuffed animal on top. As they got older, sometimes I'd put a small gift in the stocking with the candy, but mostly it was just candy .

All of them! LOL. I even love looking through the ads for stores we don't have and won't let me shop online! Seriously though, I do most of my planning from the Walmart and Target ads.
