I don't do stockings anymore, but when my boys were kids I filled them with candy. When they were really little, I'd put a stuffed animal on top. As they got older, sometimes I'd put a small gift in the stocking with the candy, but mostly it was just candy .

There's a huge, beautiful red brick house between me and the next town over. The original owners always went all out with Christmas decor. About 10 years ago they sold it to a doctor and they never do anything. Every year, I want to go knock on their door. LOL. Like, if you could afford this house and all this land around it, you could afford to hire someone to decorate. You owe it to us! (LOL, I realize they owe me nothing. I just think it should be a crime to have that beautiful house and that beautiful manicured lawn and do NOTHING at Christmas ).

I have most of my GD shirts. Last year, my sister made me a quilt out of hers and a few of mine .

Batteries and cheap bathroom rugs. Lowes and HD seem to go back and forth on who has the best battery deal. The rugs don't wash well, so I buy a few and just throw them away.

My Sooners lost today, and that hurt. The Cowboys beat Baylor though, so that helped a little. But how about that Kansas team?? 5 & 0 for the first time since 2009. I love a Cinderella story.

This sounds wonderful. I always create a Holiday Calendar for the months of November and December. I schedule decorating, wrapping, which day which candy will get made, which day the whole family gets together at my mom's to decorate cookies, etc. My family makes fun of my calendar, but I would be a bawling stressed out wreck if I tried to wing it. Of course, they just say "don't worry about it" "If something doesn't get done, no one is going to care". I did finally admit to myself last year that I don't do it all for my family, I do it all because *I* love it. If it didn't get done, I would be the one that cared. Sorry. That seems to have turned into self pity/therapy. LOL I really love your idea and I'm going to check out that website Berry1014 suggested too.
