I've never heard of cooking them to consume them. They are mainly used (here at least) to boil for your gravy.

They are calling for a Tur-Duc-Hen type of forecast. They have said it so much that we're talking about turning it into a drinking game! It's raining and chilly now, jumping from 40 to 70 within 2 hours this afternoon. Right after it hits 70, we're supposed to get slammed with a cold front, spawning tornadoes and torrential rains. It's supposed to ice and snow tonight with ice accumulation tomorrow. FUN!!!

We had TracFone for years- definitely not the cheapest. DH is now using Net10 and has been for over a year. They are 10¢ per minute and just started a new monthly plan. It's $25 for 750 minutes, texts, and internet or $50 for unlimited. TracFone is around 120 minutes for $20 (with bonus codes) 60 minutes for $20 without. Net10 without the monthly plan is 200 minutes for $20. No fees.

All of Walmart stores are supposed to follow a corporate policy when it comes to accepting coupons and pricematching. Print your copy of the pricematching policy here: http://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx and take it with you in case you run into any problems.

Look up those games on Amazon and Best Buy before you go- they will price them right there. That way you have a good feel for what they are worth when you go to Gamestop. Amazon will sometimes run an additional credit when you trade in games, too.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received the guitar yesterday. It's definitely a high quality piece- well worth the price. I don't know about the $400 original price, but it looks like a $250-$300 guitar. Sound is good, body is solid, I'm highly impressed. It's not a cheapo starter kit- that's for sure!

I didn't see one thing over 10% off of retail (there or elsewhere) in the Best Buy ad. It looks no different than a normal week to me. I guess they got their 15 minutes, tho. I'll have my tent pitched at Ace Hardware (just kidding).

Mastermom- make sure you copy 'image location' instead of 'link location'.

Make sure you cut them in small pieces so that they are equally done. After you drain them, add your milk (cream or evaporated milk) back into the pan to warm. I NEVER use a mixer- it makes them sticky. I use a hand masher. If they are lumpy at the end, you can stick in a hand mixer. I agree with previous posters- I love the lumps!

There are some awesome reviews on it over at Harmony. We've had some trouble with some lower end ones, too- but my boy is hard on them. This reviews are all amazing, and for $80, it's worth a shot.

Crappy Vizio? They are one of the best rated brands in the US. We picked ours because of the picture and sound, not because of the price or brand. We have been more than thrilled with it. It did have a power surge after the warranty was up, and they have stood by it, sending techs out to fix it at no charge. And, their customer service guys were all 'good 'ol boy' sounding Americans. I could understand every word! We also have a Samsung, which has terrible picture and sound- and so do my parents. We hate them.

I've had it on all morning and didn't hear anything. However, they did have a 'hottest toys' segment and did their 'Today Show Deals & Steals', so they might have had it in there.

For those of you that are upset, I backed out of these because of the type of fabric they are made out of. Although it says 'quiet', they are swishy type fabric that most hunters will not be able to use. They are also VERY lightweight, think rainjacket type. I love the one review- says 'decent coat, but sounds like you are tackling a tent'.

I'm looking for Guitar Center- we've got enough Black Friday stuff from the box stores!

In the past year or so, Dollar General has really stepped it up and is providing many high quality items. I'm a generophobe, and I shop there. Of course, our only other option is Walmart, and it's no prize in the quality department.

This ad couldn't have come at a better time! I was teaching one of my Christmas Savings workshops and we were talking about Target. My phone popped up the alert, so I was able to show it to an audience of very excited ladies!

This is what I'm planning on doing for Black Ops tomorrow- and i have a free $10 GC when you spend $75 that doesn't exclude games. That's 2 games, and $60 in gift cards for $120.

It's been taking forever to load for a couple of weeks for me, but our ISP is so slow, I figure it's a combination of the traffic and crappy internet that will affect no one else.

I'm not a fan of register rewards unless they match up exactly, which is what this looks like it will do. this could equal a TON of freebies!
