Our UPS normally comes at 6:00 p.m., but has come as late as 10:00 just before the holidays. They work very long hours to get these delivered. If it's gone back, the status will say 'undeliverable' or 'delayed'.

We do a fish fry and grill fresh shrimp on Christmas Eve, with tons of fancy sides. Christmas morning I fix something light before we open our gifts and head over to moms for a huge brunch. We have dinner at my grandparents, which has always been ham sandwiches on homemade buns. She makes the best buns in the world, so sandwiches are perfect!

I'm glad they turned out! I use real butter for everything but cookies. I'm really, really picky about cookies though. Once I went to help a friend make her DD's birthday cake. She'd picked up everything for the frosting and when I asked for the butter, she handed me a tub of Country Crock. She thought that was butter and would work the same.

Christmas Vacation

Actually, a couple of weeks ago, Walmart unvelied same day site to store shipping for those items that are carried both places. This is only in select cities right now, but will be everywhere soon. You are supposed to be able to pick up your order in less than an hour.

cookies made with margarine are usually softer than those made with butter. I always had the same problem with chocolate chip cookies- until I started doing this: Use 1/2 shortening and 1/2 margarine in place of butter Use brown sugar instead of white Take them out way before they look done. They will continue to cook as they cool.

Don't forget about the frozen Grands! biscuits which are better than any homemade I've ever had. If time is still an issue- scramble up some sausage the night before and add it to a mix that morning. I always do homemade gravy and it's by far one of the quickest meals ever- if you decide to do homemade biscuits, you can also make them up before, stick them on a cookie sheet, freeze, then put in a baggie and pull out for use that morning.

Leapsters are always updating and phasing out. Their site does this constantly, even on really new products. I wouldn't worry about it , as they are all compatible with each other. (Leaspters have always been backwards compatible)

I ordered a bunch of stuff on Saturday and it didn't show that it shipped, even though there was a hold on my card. Last night it changed to 'in process' with a tracking number, today it showed 'shipped'. When I clicked on tracking, it showed nothing. When I went to the UPS site and put it in, it is already out for delivery. I think their system is behind.

Pat- When using Net10, remember that the carry over minutes aren't always the best plan. You get 200 minutes (that can carry over) for $20, but for $25, you'll get 750 that expire within 30 days. If you're planning on using over 200, definitely do the $25 plan. If you use less, then stick with the carry over. HTH!
