My tracking #'s all say that the info is unavailable online. You guys got yours superfast, especially w/ media mail. I know it usually takes the same amount of time, but around the holidays, it seems media mail slows waaaay down. The only ones that were cancelled were the NOW Christmas, Offspring, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I got all the rest. I wasn't able to get Kid Rock, George Strait, or Finger 11, but I think I was able to get the rest. Did anyone else get their shipping refunded for the ones they cancelled? They refunded a percentage for each CD, and I came out paying just a few cents shipping for all of mine! -
I ordered several things on the 13th and they were shipped on the 14th. There were a couple of items that didn't ship, and they ended up being cancelled. I have never purchased anything from them before, so that's the best help I can give.

Raise the roof with Dora the Explorer! This huge dollhouse not only talks--it's bilingual! Unfold the sturdy plastic house to reveal several rooms, plus a second story upstairs. Press the picture frame to hear Dora talk about her family, or open the fridge to hear about how hungry she is. Six different accessories can be manipulated to produce more than 20 phrases or songs in both English and Spanish. The house is only partially furnished with built-in kitchen appliances and table, boom box and picture in living room, phone on one wall, mirror in bathroom, and miscellaneous illustrations of shelves in the bedrooms. Dora, her Mama, her Papi, and their couch are included, but additional accessories and furniture must be purchased separately. Still, from the ringing doorbell to the oven that lights up and talks, la casa de Dora es espléndida. When open, the house is three feet wide by one and a half feet tall. --Emilie Coulter I got this off of Amazon.com... My checkbook is starting to HATE them!!! Good thing they gave me such a high limit on my CC.. J/k!! It is taking everything in my powers not to buy the things listed tonight. My prime expired yesterday, and I am NOT renewing it.. yet!

What kind of cookies or candies do you make?
amyers12345 replied to momof5plus1hubby's topic in 2006
I saw a thing on the news yesterday for crockpot peanut clusters made with chocolate almond bark. I missed the beginning, but I think it's pretty self explanatory. And I would just do it in a pan, not a crockpot. -
This is what we did last year, and it was SOOO awesome. My son made them for teachers and administrators, and all relatives. We bought the wooden shapes at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and drilled holes in the top. You smear them with peanut butter, and roll them in birdseed. Then run a wire through the hole. We wrapped them up in cellophane snack bags, and tied them with pretty curling ribbons. TADAA!!!! Instand bird feeders, and they make cute decorations when picked clean. You can buy these in star, reindeer, trees, santa, etc. I recommend sticking with common shapes, because some get hard to recognize.

My kids have 16 each under the tree.. not planned, but I keep pulling out more stuff everywhere I look. it's all stuff I've accumulated, or more great deals. If I keep this up, I think I'll have to ask GD Brad to ban me, so DH Brad doesn't kill me!!! Plus, everything I didn't want to wrap went in their 4 foot stockings, and now they are out of room!

Book Ideas for Husband Needed

I agree with the John Sanford and James Patterson. I love the Harry Bosch books by Michael Connelly. So does my father and brother. Both big Grisham readers. -
Amazon.com - anyone else fed up these guys?
amyers12345 replied to SoCalCyclist's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I have ordered tons of stuff and not had a problem at all. I even ordered stuff Monday night, and it was next day DHL at my door by 10 Tuesday. (I have a trial of prime). Everything has been great deals, and fast shipping. I did lose out on the knives and xbox too, but that is understandable. I am very glad for the people that got them, and understand that these are limited quantities and we should be lucky they offer it at all. Maybe we'll get in on something in the future. -
Looking for Camcorder deals, minidvd?
amyers12345 replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Do you mean mini DV? -
Way too many possibilities? Wow! Maybe I should take another look at the stuff.

and Spencers, no free shipping, no codes at all. I just bit the bullet and bought it. They did have some nice shirts and stuff on clearance, but it wouldn't let me order the one I wanted. It was 5.99 with 5.95 shipping. Taxes were added. One AA battery, NOT included. Any more questions?

They probably did. We live in the middle of 500 acres, and some large lazy man decided to pop a trailer in right across the road. He is supposedly disabled, and does nothing but watch me all day. You shoulda seen him when I was putting the plastic up in the windows. He stood plastered to his screen door for hours. And what was weird is that I had an Amazon box that was on the porch, but this box had fallen off the porch and was laying upside down in the mud. And there was no hidden implication in the above statement!! I guess it was subliminal, because I am pretty quick witted and didn't catch it. Oh, BTW, you guys are welcome to have a blast with my horror story!!

When taking toddlers to non-childproofed homes, how to handle it.
amyers12345 replied to sissykus's topic in 2006
I know the feeling. I am lucky that my kids have never been the type to really get into stuff. My grandmother's house is definitely not childproofed, and now there are 6 grandkids 2 and under. She didn't learn her lesson when a huge wooden shelf full of die cast tractors fell, just missing my son when he was small. The shelf was held up by straight pins!!! My advice is to take a pack and play. This can be great when you are trying to get something done or just take a break. Good luck! -
Need Help! Gift for Grandmother
amyers12345 replied to guilliam's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Does she like to write letters? I made my 'honorary grandmother' stationery. She is a GB Packers fanatic, so there is a logo at the top, address labels with her families addresses, return address labels, and preprinted envelopes of both sizes with her return address. I will throw in a book of stamps and she'll be set. Stamps are great to give the elderly, or maybe you could give her vouchers for a lunch together. Perfume, candy, or other things to spoil her could be nice too. -
I thought you were going to tell me not to be embarassed enconmom! BTW, he just left. He stayed to chat for a minute, but I think this is a different one. Sometimes they run 2, and the other one usually comes between 5 and 6. (like last night)

LOL!!! I have a hydrocodone in the cabinet from a massive toothache a while back. I had never been hurt bad enough to take a pain pill, not even during my drug free labors. Well, I think this will constitute as severe, mind numbing, excrutiating pain!! and it's at 10:00 am, is that too early to start drinking? That way I can be sobered up by time for Christmas Eve at my aunt's. that's the only way I was able to get through the baby shower I threw his sister over the summer. His other sis brought a cooler and hid it under the bathroom sink. We had to pee a lot!! :gddrama2:

Okay, mine shipped on the 4th, and originally the website said 5-7 days w/ freight. I called today because I am unable to track it, and was told that it is 14 business days. This will put it here the Friday before Christmas. If I'm lucky. They could not tell me what carrier has it. What's funny is that they are shipped from Kentucky.. the next state over!

We have a russell stovers outlet with a HUGE sugar free chocolates section. My grandmother and aunt are both diabetic, and it just so happens my little sister works there! Their SF stuff is delicious!

My husbands fancy new bow is disguised as a gift certificate to get the piece of junk old right handed (he's left) one that is broken beyond reasonable repair fixed.
-
yes, it was shrinkwrapped!!!! I know people use them, just don't want the UPS guy to know that. "Hello, UPS, umm... I think you broke my thingy.. it's not working for me!" LOL Out of the tons of boxes that have came the past few weeks, this is the only damaged one!
-
let's just say it was of the electronic origin. (sorry, but it fit so well!!!)
-
Okay, so after all of this, I catch some really good sales at Office Depot, ordered enough gifts for all of them, for about $5 each. Then I go buy gift bags, because they are getting an assortment of things. Today, I hand make my bows and tissue paper for the bags. (10 people) THEN, I am informed that his mom and sisters are headed to Tennessee for Christmas, and his other sister has to work. That just leaves us with his brother and SIL. GRRRR!!!!

I like them all, but I think I like the white the least. It's still cute as can be.
