that's who i called. I would call back and see if someone else answered that knew something. When I called, the girl knew nothing, she got her supervisor, who gave her a code, that code had been used, but they got another one. I was on the phone for close to an hour while they tried to get it to work. I can't see how there is no supervisor working at all. I thought at places like that, there had to be a supervisor on every shift or all hell would break loose.

They ended up finding about his hereditary degenerative knee disease when he broke both legs w/ stress fractures and discharged him. I couldn't have imagined what I would do if his had gotten sent to Iraq, so I cannot empathasize, only sympathize.

Nuts and rational at the same time? I think this actually a case where this can happen. If you're anything like me, they will find it before the next year, or you'll have a lazy day this summer and decide to pull it out. Of course, I say this, but the HUGE set of fingerpaints i got for mine for their b-days in August is still in the closet, I forgot to wrap them and decided to save for christmas. The kids at the party were too wild to give them anyways. Now the Christmas gifts are wrapped and the fingerpaints are still in the closet! (guess I don't feel like cleaning up the mess associated) OK, back on track, if you have the space to hide it, are sure she'll want it next year, don't think it will clearance out, and already have a gift card, I'd go ahead and get it.

I wish they would have told me that, it said Standard Ground. A truck can't get down my road! They always get stuck trying to turn back onto the highway! The closer to Christmas the better for me, just can't be after!

I need to put up the tree and pick up and mail the cards. Other than that, I have 2 nights of finals this week, DS has 2 nights of BB practice, and 2 games on Saturday. Oh, and the Christmas parade is Saturday, hrmm.. Still don't know what time the games are!

I was excited in October, now I'm just exhausted. I have been a SAHM for the last 6 months, and it makes the holidays seem less important. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but you have no one to compare to, or outside influences on who has done put their tree up, or who has already gotten their cards done. It is making things so much less hectic, but i like hectic. I have finals all week, and a lot of presentations to get done, and christmas has taken a back burner. I am done with my shopping and planning, presents are wrapped, but still no tree. Not even a place to put one. I did order christmas cards last night. We are completely snowed in, we have been since Thursday. Well, DH can get out, but I am not riding with him, neither are the kids. They haven't even started clearing our roads. Maybe the snow will help get me in the mood. The biggest problem is that our tree is in a barn about 5 miles away, and our truck is RWD. The blazer is full of christmas presents that need hid!

I have had wonderful customer service with Lowes. I went in Monday and they had the $88 grill from BF. (they had just unloaded a truck from last week). They stuck a hold sticker on it, when I went back that evening it was gone. I didn't even pitch a fit and the manager came up to me and said they were going to substitute the next best one they had. Well, they had clearanced out so many of them, I ended up with a $299 grill. It is AWESOME!!

Has anyone's shipped yet? They told me 3-5 days. it's been 5, and mine is still located in stock.

I agree dmmiller. My budget is exhausted. I got way too many of the offline deals, and I really got to looking for the ads at the beginning of October. Now I'm just burnt out on the whole thing! That's what happens when you start early to make the season longer. It just makes the end more tedious.

don't give up! I think it would be very traumatic for a child to grow up w/o Santa. Also, think of all the other children she will tell at daycare or when she gets to school. I would threaten the cousins with their gifts or their lives, and let your daughter be a child.

You are probably in it. We're in the middle about a third of the way up, LOL. They are calling for an ice storm followed by 6-8 inches wednesday night-thursday. when it's supposed to hit 75 here today, and highs of 25 for the rest of the week. I'm just hoping they're as wrong as they usually are.

you blow in it! Depending on how old your child is, make SURE you tell them NOT to stick their fingers in it. Someone bought my son one at a craft show, and he stuck his middle finger in the pipe and got it stuck. We pulled and pulled, soaped, etc. Finally a friend came over, and he twisted it and my son's finger just popped out. I was ready to take him to the hospital. Finding stale marshmallows isn't the bad part, it's if they get warm and something gets set on them, or if they are in the yard and you step on a warm one.

Last year I got a set at the dollar tree. They aren't anything supernice, but they were just as nice as the more expensive ones at the craft stores. I have 2 small children, so I can't buy the expensive decorations yet.

it cracked me up.. I took a friend with me and kinda looked at her for advice on whether using the coupon was a death wish, and she piped up and said "umm.. we have a coupon we would like to use.." I though the cashier was gonna flip! I think it probably came out of her pocket when she got wrote up tonight. One manager was pushing our cart, the other was standing beside her.

OK, here's the funny thing. When I went tonight, I was told that the truck arrived Wednesday, but nobody bothered to UNLOAD it! My good and bad news: bad- they sold the grill they had marked with a HOLD-my name on it. They hadn't let me pay for it, so it was just stuck behind a counter. Good- they offered to give me the next best grill they had in stock for the same price. It was a $299.00 Char-King!!! Stainless, all accessories, the box weighed 163 lbs. WAHOO!! I didn't ask for a comp or anything. The cashier was kinda hateful about it, but she was just a cashier, and when her manager told her to do it, she stepped back and said "no, I won't comp a $300 grill for $88 when it was to be bought on Friday" Needless to say, I figure she walked out right behind me. I didn't think it was a good time to bring up my 20% off coupon, so I let it slide.

Thanks. The funny thing is that we got this store 2 years ago, and this was the 5th time i've been there. Just decided to stop. I wasn't sure if maybe there was a warehouse delay or something like that. I also got the tree that they said sold out in 10 minutes Friday.

no, because the code they gave me had been used, and she had to get another. You have to order it right then and there, online, I guess to prevent duplication. The girl I spoke with knew nothing about the code, but was very helpful and got a supervisor. It took about 45 minutes to do, but was well worth it. I guess my rallies have worked!!

I have this problem with a different spin on it. My DS is 7, DD 2. He was here when her santa present was delivered, in it's original box. Then I bought her the Vsmile to be from Santa, and he got into the car to get something and saw it. I forget to worry so much about her santa gift. Should I buy her something small, such as a game for her vsmile, or get her something that looks like a 'real' santa present? i am not ready to tell him the truth.

I'm sorry, I couldn't find a Lowe's thread. I went in to Lowes today to see if they happened to have the grill DH wanted. They had one left Friday and I didn't get it. They had 2 on the shelf, with price unmarked. I asked a girl how much it was, and she laughed. She said they had gotten a bunch of BF stuff on a truck this morning, and had put them out 10 minutes ago! Talk about luck. If you missed something, you might call your store.
