  1. http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/rudolph.asp I stumbled across this while searching for some pictures. I hope you find it as neat as I did.
  2. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Raspberry-Truffles/Detail.aspx These are truffles, but no chocolate in the center. http://www.diva-girl-parties-and-stuff.com/christmas-chocolates-recipe.html These sound kinda weird, but I'm not sure http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061114104005AAAMRD9 hrmm... interesting!!
  3. The roboraptor is only 29.99 now. They do not offer price guarantees online.
  4. Our school started doing the best fundraiser ever a few years ago. They are called "bear bucks". They go around to local businesses and restaurants and they will donate a discount. They print these up at the school and laminate them. They sell for $10 each, and are so useful. We save so much $$ with ours. Since there is little-no cost, maybe you could include all the kids? Here are some examples of ours: free appetizer w/ purchase of 2 entrees (at a couple of good restaurants) Subway- buy one 6 inch combo, get a 6 inch free Sonic- 10% off Pizza Hut- 20% off rent 1 new release, get 1 free at a local movie store $2 off haircuts at a couple of local salons McDonalds, B1G1 Big Macs free 2 liter w/ any pizza purchase at the gas station Our school makes a killing off of these. So much that the top 3 sellers in each classroom get 10, 20, 30 gift certificates to WM, and the top 5 in the school get 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. They take a field trip to WM to christmas shop w/ the prizes.
  5. This is pretty embarassing, but DH just laughed it off. I ordered an 'intimate' item online for a naughty santa gift for some friends. (It's an inside joke). It was set to be delivered Friday, but got delayed because of 'conditions beyond UPS control". It arrived last night with a huge hole in the box. This is a small item, you could probably fit 200-300 of them in this box, but they had wrapped brown paper all around it. But, not on the side that the hole was. It was half hanging out of the box!!! I have to face the UPS man EVERY day this week. I think I'll hide in the bathroom! It doesn't look damaged, but I don't think I could possibly file a claim on it. The sad thing is that I ordered it just so I wouldn't have to buy it face to face with a stranger, LOL!
  6. I couldn't live with myself for causing someone to lose their job, especially around the holidays. And how did the paperwork match up?
  7. The price on a spiral ham will depend on where you are from. Around here, 1.70-2.00 lb is a good price. I will give you a tip though, we have bought from expensive butcher shops/grocery stores for years, and the last 2 years, my aunt got hers at Aldi's. It was by far the best ham I've ever eaten. I would check allrecipes.com for ideas suited to your families tastes. I like a brown sugar/pineapple rub myself.
  8. hrmm.. I haven't been in a couple of weeks, but the Buffalo WM always has everything. I got TMX's there a week after they came out. They had close to 100 of them. I have bought many of the cars there, but haven't looked lately. I would check the small ones, maybe Osage Beach, Cuba, I'm not sure how far those are from you. I have only seen the blue mater once, and it was a big talking one.
  9. I would.. I would hate to get the poor person who messed up into any trouble. And I think TRU has screwed enough of us over lately, that it is merely retaliation.
  10. I saw the same (I think) commercial, and these prices were slashed at the beginning of November.
  11. Well, I still need to do the things I posted last week. We get did get the house rearranged last night and the tree brought in, but it will get decorated tonight. All of my gifts are wrapped, excluding the ones that will arrive last week. Still haven't gotten my cards sent out. I also need to start making fudge by the masses. I finished my tree skirt last night, and need to make DS's blanket. I made DD's 3 months ago.
  12. mine shipped last monday, still not here.. I hope it arrives tomorrow!
  13. I saw those after I posted this.. I have seen only one listed in the past several years. The way those prices look already, I'm afraid they are going to go for 80-100. That's too much. Maybe they'll go down after Christmas.
  14. A friend of mine used to have a game called King's Court. The board is similar to checkers, but it has a large square in the middle. It is green and gray marble colored. Her dad got it in Memphis 10-13 years ago. It is a GREAT game, requires a lot of thinking and strategy. I have looked for one ever since, and have been unable to find it anywhere. I would appreciate any leads someone could give me. TIA
  15. step2.com was offering free shipping on some kitchens. you have got to go to their website and look at the walk in one. SUPER CUTE, but friviolous
  16. I know what you mean.. but I got such good deals earlier. Some of the things I picked up for great prices have been on sale everywhere for those prices. The biggest one was the roboraptor, which I have had to hide for over a month, and now they are running the roboreptiles for the same price.
  17. hehe, that's why i asked, I have horrible dial up
  18. can you stack coupons there?
  19. good for them, I went there yesterday, and they are gone!!! There's an Aeropostale in their place.
  20. thank you! I have prime and never thought to look there!
  21. Where at in Mo spate? Maybe I can help
  22. I saw that... she's 2. My son is was fairly small, smaller than others his age, and he outgrew his toddler bed between 4 and 5. How can an 6-8 year old be considered a toddler? Thanks for the advice, I don't think I'll be purchasing this one. It doesn't look worth the headaches for an overnite stay.
  23. DD finally escaped her crib this week, but this doesn't sound like a good, every day, alternative, does it?
  24. That means the sale is over. Keep watching them, they have been fluctuating for days.
