I've used them several times and never a problem. I believe they also offer 50 free prints to new members. Worth checking the photo thread if you've never ordered there before. They did a very nice job on dd 20 months baby prints that I sent out to everyone.

My Kitchen Aid stand mixer broke on Saturday night. Does that count as a toy, lol??? It's a mommy toy. The thing was only 2 years old. I think the gears are stripped. I swear I'm not going to buy any more expensive things unless they come from Costco!

We should look at our Amazon thread from 12/10 and see how much we contributed to those sales, lol. Amazon has done an OUTSTANDING job coming through for everyone this year. I give their customer service an A+.

Hehe, yep, nothing went to waste! Thank you again. :)

Dd 20 months woke up and ds6 is not asleep yet. He's so excited. He should have been asleep a long time ago! He came down a few minutes ago and I showed him on Norad Santa that Santa was in Newfoundland and he'd be coming here in another 2-3 stops!!! He'd better get right to sleep! We put out our cookies for Santa. Hubby is just getting the living room picked up while I'm feeding dd6 months. Hopefully soon! I can't wait to watch the kids in the morning! So much fun!!!

Mine are not out yet. I had to wait for all of the kids to fall asleep. In the meanwhile, dh started watching a movie. I'm putting bows and ribbons on packages and stuffing stockings while I'm waiting for it to finish and then we'll get everything all set up! I need to make sure to charge my camera battery!!! I should have included that in my other PSA, lol. I'll just retitle this one. Make sure your camera batteries and cards/film are ready to go! I think I'll get the video camera ready, too. Merry Christmas!

Good job, dereksdaddy!

ME! I do, too. LOL. However, this year I did not wrap them! I started playing with them early! Hahaha! Merry Christmas to me. Santa got me a flash for my camera, a Nintendo DS, some games, some bubble bath from B&BW, and some chapsticks. Oh yeah, and 2 collector Barbies. Maybe some other things, too! Oh well! I got sick of wrapping some little things for myself that I needed anyway so this year I just got whatever I've been wanting. My hubby will also have no gifts to open tomorrow. I've been giving to them right along since Turkey Day and I insisted there will be no surprises this year, lol. He usually does get a lot of surprises, so I thought it would be fun to be different. As for us, we're just home. Hubby is watching a movie. Ds6 is watching a Casper Christmas show. Dd 20 months is almost asleep. Dd 6 months is being the ever-present appendage to me, as usual. It is pretty much like any other day except hubby and I know we can't go to sleep because we have a lot to do after ds6 goes to sleep, which should hopefully be soon! I'm debating if I want to go make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I need to make them by tomorrow because they're a gift for my uncle. There's nothing that I can buy for him that he'd like as much as homemade cookies just like his mom made. :) My mom lives in Florida, hubby's mom is at work at a nursing home, and hubby's dad lives in PA. We'll go tomorrow afternoon to my cousin's for dinner and then back home again for us. We kind of like it that way - different or not.

To my Secret Santa... I wanted to post an update on what has become of my gifts. The soaps are being used - one in the downstairs bathroom (green matches perfectly) and one in the kitchen. They smell great and everyone loves them. I used the perfumes a couple times (nice!) and left them in the box near the tree. Well, today hubby comes downstairs to our room with the box and he took the perfumes out. I wondered what the heck he was doing. I had bought him a little gift that I won't disclose in this thread, but some who read the other forums may know by the clue "colossal collection". He used the box to store this particular special gift and put my perfumes on my dresser, lol. Meanwhile, we had been trying to think of a name for our Rock Band band. We went through some ideas over the past few days, but nothing seemed right. We wanted something special to us but nothing that would be too obvious to people we know (or our kids!) and today we found a name. We decided on "The Victoria Box". I don't know who you are so I wonder what your reaction will be, but it might be either or or or or . LOL. Either way, we love it and we were inspired by my Secret Santa gift. :) To my Ornament Exchange person - I love my ornament and when I FINALLY decorated my tree yesterday, my new ornament stayed near the top of the tree where I put all of my special ornaments. :) Thank you both!!!

He is going to LOVE it! That's what my hubby and I got. We opened it on Friday night and we've been having a blast!!!!

No problem! My ds11 is old enough to assemble his own stuff and my other kids' stuff...and some of mine, lol. Between him and my hubby, I rarely have to do any assembly. I want to assemble the Pirates of the Caribbean ship, though. We've lost lots of ship parts in the past, so I'm prepared with Super Glue.

LOL, that's me. Luckily I remembered I had the 9V's in the drawer.

Walgreens $10 off of $30 coupon! (Printable) Sunday, 12/23 ONLY!
Kayakmom replied to alimfp's topic in Offline Hot Deals
My Kitchen Aid broke and I needed a hand mixer to fill in until it's repaired. I didn't want to mess with the big stores. Walgreens had literally ONE hand mixer in the store and it was $19.99. I picked up a picture frame on clearance, some Crazy Glue, and a gallon of milk. Since the other items were things I needed anyway, it was like getting the mixer for $9.99, which is a reasonable sale price. Not a bad deal to save the trouble of fighting the crowds at WalMart or Target. :) -
I always have AA and AAA's, but I grabbed spares and also picked up some C's and D's at Costco. I already had a new 6 pack of 9V's because hubby and I both bought them for smoke detector time.

This is a public service announcement. Don't forget the batteries!!!!! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31ObaqBKmqL._AA240_.jpg There's nothing sadder than a new toy with no batteries. (Can you tell it happened to me more than once as a child? LOL) If you give a gift that requires batteries, please provide them if you can!

I know! My mom had hers since I was little. She gave it to my sister when she inherited my grandmas, that was VERY VERY old. I really expected it to last my whole life... or at least 20 years or so! I can't believe it died in less than one. Must be just my luck. I read back to my initial post and it looks like it might be the first time I used it to make cookies, but that is not the case, lol. It was my first batch yesterday. I've used it probably 30+ times this year. I use it mainly for mashed potatoes, cookies, and stuff like that.

I swear my ds11 should sell his ideas. The other day we were putting up the tree and he asked if we could put on the branches in reverse order, lol. He wanted to do it just like that picture above! I couldn't imagine... but I guess people buy it! He's always coming up with these odd little ideas that I end up seeing eventually come to market. He's my little entrepreneur, too. He'll stand out in an ice storm to sell hot chocolate, lol. He asked for a guitar for Christmas so that he and his friend could play for money. If he put those two skills together, the boy could make a killin'. Now if he'll just pay attention in school.... Hey, Richard Branson quit school and he's got quite a gig with the Virgin label -- but I'll never tell ds11 that.

I would call to double check your local store. On one page mine says it opens at 6am and on another it says 8am. I think 8 is probably the normal hours, but tomorrow it will be 6. If I planned to go that early, I would call first. I think they might have a recording with the hours.

Does anyone know if they have any hand mixers on sale? I bought my Kitchen Aid Heavy Duty mixer there last year for Christmas and it just konked out as I was making my first batch of cookies. Hubby checked it and said the motor sounds fine but it sounds like there's a problem with the gears. I'm going to call on Monday and since I got it for Christmas last year, hopefully it's still under warranty! In the meanwhile, I'll have to get a hand mixer to fill in until my Kitchen Aid is repaired.

I've found a bunch for PS, but none for xbox locally lately. Yesterday ds6 spotted one for PS in Costco that someone had stashed over by the milk! I saw a pile of them in Target on Friday. Good thing I got mine for 360 at Game Stop a few weeks ago. Since ds11 was going to his dad's until Christmas morning and we usually give them a gift from us on Christmas eve, we gave each of our kids their guitars (ds11 got an electric guitar, ds6 a Power Tour Guitar, dd 20 months got the Song Magic Guitar, and dd 6 months a Leap Frog Guitar). Mommy and Daddy got Rock Band!!! Woo hoo!!! I was playing for about 2 hours last night and I love it!!! We're going to invite a neighbor or two over to jam with us tonight.

My ornament came today! Thank you!!! It is beautiful. Right now there are only two ornaments on my tree so far - one that my son made in school and one from the ornament exchange. It's breakable, so I put it way up high to keep it away from dd 20 months!!! (That's why my tree's not decorated yet, lol.)
