A friend bought one in June of 2008 and it is now a paper weight that the company is just giving them the run around for even though it is still under warranty. I was merely stating I wouldn't waste my money on a Panasonic again with the history I have had with them. Guess opinions aren't allowed on gottadeal anymore:rolleyes:

I guess I'm odd because as much as I hate grocery shopping, I'd rather do it myself than have someone else do it for me.

Give it time;) And when it happens, you'll see what I'm talking about. The class action lawsuit against Panasonic for it's tvs speaks for itsself about the amount of problems people are having with them:(

I would say those are the only 2, but don't know that for sure. The only reason I say that is if you search for misfit toys on ebay, those are the only 2 that come up for this year. I did see more of them for previous years, but only those 2 for 2008.

Sounds like you've done this before;) But I agree 100% with doing it this way. Start lower than what you want to pay to give you wiggle room when they say no. But hold firm with the price you want to pay. Chances are even if they tell you no on the spot, they will call you later and say yes. When we bought our car last year, we got several phones calls from them offering new deals but we kept telling them no, that's more than we were willing to pay. In the end, we ended up getting it for LESS than we had originally asked for:confused:LOL Made me happy

I would NOT recommend a Panasonic TV to anyone!!!! We have a 50" Panasonic LCD and have had nothing but problems with it! There is a class action suit against Panasonic because of their TVs. The ballast are know to go bad quickly and are VERY expensive to fix (most are just past the warranty expiration) and the lamps do not last nearly as long as the claim and they cost $300 to replace. If I hadn't spent so much money on it, I would just throw it out and be done with it!!

The closest Target to me (an hour away) is still 75% and has been picked clean!! Very little left and none of it any good:( Toys are still 30%. I did manage to find a pack of mm juice boxes though :) so it wasn't a wasted trip all together.

I have it, and it works good "when" it's working, but it seems like we have to reset it every month or so Big pain in the a$$ if you ask me

The regular version works 2 ways also. You can either tap the book symbol at the beginning of the paragraph and it will read the pages to you or you can tap each word (ds slides it across the word) individually. If it's not doing that, it may not be working properly. Hope that helps:)

Now that Christmas is over and the clearance sales have begun, is there something you've had your eye on that you've been hoping to find on clearance after Christmas? I was planning to look for the A Christmas Story Monopoly game but dh surprised me and bought it for me for Christmas :) I have tried to find the 20" leg lamp, but they sold out before I got there. I did manage to get the A Christmas Story wrapping paper, gift tags, and cards at Walmart for 50% off :) Now I'm just waiting for Walmart to go 75% off to get some odds and ends stuff I wanted, like gift sets. Ours still has a LOT left. Oh yeah, you know how they have the Totes gifts in boxes for Christmas? They had a back scratcher for $5. I found 1 on clearance for $2.50 and would like to find a couple more if I make it to a different Walmart, but I'm sure they'll be gone before I make it there Just curious what everyone else is looking for clearance wise.

ds6 got a drum set from Santa, and ds18 got World Tour Band Set for xbox 360 (Santa brought me ear plugs but they don't help much:no:)

We have 2 of them. DH has the 120gb Elite version which he hasn't come close to using all the memory on but had to have:rolleyes: DS18 has the arcade version and we bought the 20gb hard drive through microsoft's memory upgrade program for $32 shipped. Great deal!! Especially since we got the arcade on sale through Dell for 15 % off. Search for Dell coupons, not sure if there are any out now or not. Both will do everything they want. They both play online, but ds had to hook up the internet to his where as dh's has wireless in it.

I bought each of the kids a Simpsons mug with cocoa mix etc in it for their stockings and completely forgot them until dh and I went shopping Saturday. Something reminded me of them so when I got home I gave them to them:o I'm amazed that's all I forgot!! At least I think so LOL

Just got back from Sam's Club. No Christmas clearance to be found:( Oh they still have Christmas stuff, it's just not marked down:no: The only markdown I saw was 1 toy that was regular $15.88 on sale for $14.81:eek:

I have also been able to return clearance items. Their return policy does not state you cannot return a clearance item, just that if you don't have the receipt you will be given the lowest sale price.
