  1. They are asking $9900. $8458 is 85% of that and close to what most dealers are willing to settle at. I would low ball them at 80% which is $7960. They will laugh and say no way. They will tell you the lowest I can go is $9000 which is closer to 90%. Tell them you will meet them halfway at your $8500 and you should be golden. Once they agree on the price, THEN tell them "and that price includes all paperwork and taxes". They will once again say no way. Say then no deal and be ready to walk. Nine chances out of ten they will come back to you and say yes. Until you get the price you want on the truck don't let them know you want to do a trade in. When they ask, just say you are not sure until you make the first deal and then do the trade in separately. Wait until you get what you want for your trade in before signing anything. If what they offer for your trade in sounds too low and they act like they won't go higher, be prepared to walk away. If they really want to close the sale they will come up on the trade in.

  3. I make a double batch of my favorite sugar cookie recipe. I divide it into eight ziploc baggies and store in the refrig to make the following goodies. #1 Apricot, almond and white chocolate bars 1 bag dough 1/2 tsp almond extract 1 cup almond paste 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup chopped dried apricots 6 oz cream cheese 2 eggs 2/3 cup whipping cream 2 cups white chocolate chips 1/2 cup sliced almonds Mix almond extract into bag of dough. Spread into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Beat almond paste and sugar until crumbly. Add in apricots, cream cheese, and eggs. Pour over cookie crust. Back 20 - 25 minutes more. Microwave cream about 1 minutes, stir in chips until melted. May have to microwave a little more to make sure all melted good. Pour over top and sprinkle with almonds. Put in refrig to firm up chocolate. #2 Cherry and Pistachio Cookies 2 bags dough 1 cup chopped dried cherries 1/2 cup chopped pistachios Mix all together and either drop onto cookie sheets or can roll into a log and slice. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350. Have also done these with dried cranberries and macadamia nuts. #3 Turtle Cookie Cups 1 bag dough about 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1 bag caramels dash of milk 1/4 chopped pecans Rolls dough into small balls and press into greased mini muffin cups to make crusts. Bake 8 minutes or so. Put a small teaspoon of chips (5 or 6) in bottom. If dough has 'puffed' up you can press down a little. Put back in oven a minute or two to melt chips and brown cookie cups. Melt caramels on stove and add a little milk to make creamy. Spoon into cups to fill and sprinkle with pecans. Have also added about 2 tablespoons cocoa to dough to make chocolate cups. #4 Candy Canes 2 bags dough 1/2 tsp peppermint extract red food coloring Add peppermint extract and food coloring to one baggie and mix well. Put back in refrig to firm back up a bit. Then take each bag out and roll pieces of each dough into ropes. Twist together and form into candy cane shapes. Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 350. Have also gotten lazy and just taken both doughs and rolled into one large log together, then cut in 1/2" slices and you get a cookie that is kind of red and white swirled. #5 Cinnamon Bun Cookies 1 bag dough 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 Tbslp cinnamon Powdered sugar icing or melted white chocolate Mix 1/2 tsp cinnamon into bag of dough. Between sheets of waxed paper, roll out into a rectangle. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Roll up like cinnamon rolls and slice into thin cookies. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350. Drizzle with either a powdered sugar icing or melted white chocolate. #6 Cookie Dough Candies 1 bag dough 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips white or dark chocolate for dipping Mix dough, cinnamon, and chips. Roll into small balls and put back in refrig to chill and firm up. Melt chocolate and dip balls into them. Put back in refrig to harden.
  4. okay, so I just signed up to get the email specials also. Well, got my first email from them and as a welcome gift I got a $5 off $50 coupon that expired yesterday. Now how ghetto is that!
  5. This honestly has to be the best $250 we spent..... my husband wanted the combo and I balked at amount of money but it sure is nice now. Took the dogs about a day to get used to it and know where there boundaries are and they do not cross it. My weimaraner knows within an inch of where the line is and will go to that point and once and a while get a beep where the lab stays a good five feet away. I live on an acre so they have quite a bit of yard to roam. To make it even nicer I installed a dog door so I no longer feel I am just standing at the door to let one in or out. Very nice as they can come and go as they please and I know right where they will be without having to go out with them or tie them in the yard if I leave.
  6. Not sure if you have a JCPenney near you or not. Needed to get my son a set of his own and compared quality and prices at tons of places. Ended up going with the Pierre Cardin Monte Carlo 4 piece set (28, 25 and 21" uprights and 16" duffel bag) for $99. Little more than I wanted to spend but was much heavier fabric and better warranty
  7. you make me laugh as I have two dogs and this is exactly what happens. My Weimaraner pushes the limits daily while my lab is much smarter and stays very clear of the boundaries. The Weim's collar will beep and immediately my lab sits no matter where he is at. Not sure exactly what unit you are looking for. We purchased the more expensive Innotek that included the hidden fence and two waterproof collars for the dogs. Found the best price in a store at Pet Supplies Plus but then watched for it on ebay and got it for about $50 less. Still ran close to $250 but that hidden fence is such a blessing.

  9. I agree on price.... best you're going to do for a 32 is $600. We purchased an Olevia brand last year and love it. Great picture whether HD or regular. We did a lot of research and for an 'off brand' it got great reviews. If you're not in a hurry watch for a rebate - we did and got $200 back.
  10. I use flat sheets in place of dust ruffles. For a twin bed I buy a queen or king and for our queen size bed I usually purchase two flats and overlap them on the bed springs. Can pick up clearance sheets for cheap at Target.
  11. Two years ago we got mine a clock from Target - think it was $18 or so. At each hour mark there was a slot for a picture and you can record messages to go off on that hour. We put in pictures of all the grandkids and family and had each record a special message to gram. She thought it was so neat........ she just moved into a nursing home and that HAD to go with her. Funny when you visit her and it goes off because you'll hear someones voice saying "HI grandma, love you grandma" and you start looking around until you remember it's that stupid clock!
  12. Couple things I have done or had done to me............. Go to party supply store and buy one of those boxes that when you open the top confetti and streamers came out. Slide the card under it all and 'reloaded' Put a gift card into the pocket of a shirt I had bought. About a week later my son thanked me when he was out and about and noticed it. Very hard to keep my mouth shut on that one and not ask 'are you ever going to wear that new shirt?' For my sister who never buys anything special just for herself......... I took pictures off ads of all the little stuff she always said "that would be nice to have" but would never buy for herself because money didn't allow extras and put them all in a small box with the gift card on the bottom with a note that said "the choice is yours, enjoy!" and what my mother did to me and my sister............ she wrapped a couple boxes that were empty. Unwrapped the first, nudged my husband next to me and whispered "my mother is really losing it" and looked across the room at my sister who is just rolling her eyes at me thinking the same. Finally on the third try got a box with a gift card and a small note from my mother stating "I may be getting old but I'm still not that old"
