I'm thankful that my 12yo son has not had any new strokes since his moyamoya surgery 10/8/13 and that said surgery is providing new blood flow to his brain. He still has some obstacles to get through but he is doing well! I am also thankful that my husband and I both have good jobs. It's been a rough year for us, but we still have lots to be thankful for.... home, family, friends, jobs, great doctors, nurses, and support staff... just to name a few!! Here's to hoping for a better year in 2015!!

I placed 2 orders on 12/15 and they are both "Out For Delivery" TODAY! I never received a shipping notice email, I just checked status on their website.

I received my SS today! I got 2 DVDs, an Alabama Christmas CD, cozy slipper socks, flameless candles set, and a very nice cup with a straw (which ds10 has already claimed as "his" lol) My SS did an awesome job!! I will post pics but it will be later this week sometime. I apologize, but we are in Finals week in school and I have a 3 day live review then our Pinning Ceremony on Thursday. But I promise I will try to post asap after that!! But I did want to let my SS know it arrived and is very much appreciated and loved!!!

AGREED!!!! The 3rd is a good date because by the time you figure out who is not going to ship and get an elf, there is little time left. And I also agree you did an awesome job!! Unfortunately, some people just flake out no matter who is organizing and what the rules are Nothing anyone can do about it

One year I gave each of my parents cash in a box of little debbie snack cakes. I slide a knife to break the seal, put the money in the box, then re-glued the box. You couldn't even tell it had ever been opened! They unwrapped them and of course thought I had lost my mind giving them a box of little debbies for Christmas! I eventually had to tell them to open the box. Then they sat there trying to figure out how I got the money inside

I bought too much this past week to even begin to list! The majority (about 98%) being from Amazon. I was however surprised that my ds22 went to ToysRUs today about 3pm and was able to get the Fisher Price Dr Kit for $7.49 for me! TRU usually sells out of everything FAST around here! The one thing that did make me quite mad was the men's sweatshirts Walmart had listed for $4. The ad said sizes up to size 4xl, my husband wears 4xl in them because he wears them over many layers at work because he works outside. Our Walmart had 2 of the 2xl, 4 of the xl and the rest were medium and larges. They should not advertise those sizes if they are not going to have them!

Was wondering if anyone that ordered from Walmart online last year had any issues getting their items? Are they bad about over-selling and cancelling? I hate to order online and not go to the store and then have it cancelled

I hate the earlier shopping times and because of them I don't shop nearly as long. We used to go to the local Walmart and then head to the malls in the next town because our small town only has a Walmart. Because of having to stay up late to go to Walmart, I plan to just go home afterwards. With that being said, in my opinion, the REAL problem with the Black Friday sales are that the retailers aren't taking into consideration that we can get on the internet and get deals every day. I currently have 95% of my shopping done and it was all done online (my UPS man loves me lol) The stores need to offer sales that make it worth my time to go to their stores and shop, and the sales that I've seen this year don't do that. As I said, I will go to Walmart,unless I am able to get the 2 things I want online between now and then.

I feel your pain I'm having similiar issues this year but instead of it being an aunt, it's a sister. No matter what my sister does, she is perfect, but if I do anything my parents don't agree with, I get screamed at by them. My sister has been fired from every job she's ever had, I had the same job for 20 yrs until I got laid off and now I will graduated nursing school on Dec 13 (YAY!!) but I'm the one who gets treated like a child. There was a blow up over the summer and I told my husband I am done dealing with it all and I have not seen much of any of them since. On Thanksgiving all I want to do is stay home with the kids, but I'll be the terrible villian if I don't show up at my parents Worst part is, it will just be me and the kids since DH has to work 3-11 that day and my parents run their mouths to me more when he's not around.

I have never missed a Black Friday and every year there is something I stand in line for, until this year. It's pretty sad that the ONLY thing I will go for are the $4 sweatshirts at Walmart for DH for work LOL... Unless I can find them for the same price online between now and then that is, then I won't be going at all.

They had Boo Berry and Franken Berry cereal for $0.80/box plus if you bought some the register printed you a coupon for $2 off/ 5 boxes of General Mills cereal. Ended up with 24 boxes for $11.20! And they don't expire until Oct 2013
