I'll be leaving this thread now to return at a future date when all this talk of people being done and almost done doesn't depress me so much since I've barely even started;)

1. This is the last of Sally's gifts. When you finish loading them I'll go back in and get Johnny's. 2.I hope they can still find me at the end of the day after she's done piling all of her purchases on me! 3. We've been sitting here all night saving these chairs and you're telling me they aren't the one's in the ad???

Every time DS7 (who doesn't talk really well yet due to his Down Syndrome) sees me looking at Zhu Zhu Pets on the computer will walk up behind me and say: "Yellow and Brown, yellow and brown. I want them both" (sounds more like "yelyo and brown, yelyo and brown. I want dim boat" Then he'll start giggling. It's the cutest thing the way he says it!!

I buy a couple things on BF but I also give extras that I buy during the year when the deal is sooo great that I just can't pass it up even though we have no need for it or even no anyone that does. DH says I would buy anything with a clearance sticker on it

I'm another Steeler's fan in Ohio:DHave been ALL my life!! Can remember watching them when I was little. Funny thing, my dh has been a Steeler's fan all his life too:yup: We meant for each other:tongue1:

In dh's family, they used to tell the kids that mom and dad had empty boxes and Santa filled the boxes on Christmas Eve.

I have NEVER missed a Black Friday, but this year may be a first:( My ds19 is away at College and DH works 3rd shift on T-Day and BF so will need to sleep during the day and I have NO ONE to watch ds7:( NO WAY would I take him with me!!

The screen got broken on ds7's PSP. We're trying to decide if we should try to replace the screen or just buy him a new one. It was dh's fault, but I'm afraid to spend $50 or more on the screen and not be able to figure it out;) DS19 let us know a long time ago what he wants! LOL!! DS7 has only told us he wants the Yellow Hamster and the Brown Hamster (Zhu Zhu) so far. I'm sure he'll tell us more soon

Santa brings the Big Gift and a few others then mom and dad give a few. ALL of our gifts are wrapped and under the tree (or close to under ), but we do put the big ones together 1st then wrap around it. We also charge anything that needs it then put it back in the box and wrap. Last year ds7 got a drumset. We put it together and then wrapped paper around it. I just don't think it would be as much fun if he didn't have the joy of being surprised when he rips the paper off of it. But that's just how we do it.

People who give you dirty looks if they accidentally get bumped into!! HELLO!!! There are hundreds of people in an aisle meant for maybe 10!!! If you can't handle a little bumping, STAY HOME!! Don't get me wrong, I try not to touch anyone, but if someone bumps me, chances are it's going to make me bump into someone else It's all part of the "Sport"

I'm not really sure but I know it was in the 90's sometime while ds19 was little. So I'm guessing 13 years...maybe more.

Today I found: 50' Coil Garden Hose- $4.98 Guitar Hero World Tour with controller for Nintendo DS- $21.24 They also had several of the Beer Tenders for $7x.xx and the double burner thing.

Reminds me of the year we bought ds (now 19) a computer. We had to buy the monitor separately and he went with us to get it. We told him we were picking it up for dh's aunt who works with computers a lot. He rode home in the car with it right beside him totally upset that it wasn't for him:tongue1: We hide gifts in the whirlpool tub in the master bathroom. Nobody uses it so we put the gifts in it and cover them with a comforter and keep the door locked where only dh and I can get in. The kids use the other bathroom anyway.

We started picking our own gifts a few years ago. We would go shopping together and each get what we want and the other one would give it to the kids to wrap for us. Then we would act surprised when we opened it But dh has let it get out of control by extending it to b-days. This year he blamed me because he didn't get me anything for my b-day because I didn't tell him what to get, where to get it, or go buy it myself!! I ALWAYS get him something for his b-day even if he doesn't tell me what he wants. Oh, and now we don't go shopping together anymore, he just tells me what he wants and I have to get his and mine both!!! Sigh...I guess if I want anything I have to buy it for myself:(

I love the Christmas Story decorations. I told dh this year I am buying a leg lamp and putting it on the end table replacing our other one for the Holidays. My co-workers think I'm nuts! LOL I used to collect Coca-Cola items and have just about any Coke ornament they have made, including a ceramic tree that is decorated in Coke bottles, bears, etc. from some collectibles company. But I kinda got bored with them and haven't bought any new ones in several years. Also LOVE It's A Wonderful Life themed Christmas stuff.

All of the Harry Potter books :) I hope I win :) I just realized this contest ends on dh's birthday!

We wrap Xmas Eve too:D Last year dh had to work 3rd shift on Xmas Eve so I had to do it all myself:eek: Come to think of it, I think he has to work the same shift this year:yup:

Our stocking stuffers (movies, cds, etc) usually are laid either on top of the stocking or beside it. I wrap some of them and some of them I do not.

DS19 used to ask for a monkey (he wanted a REAL one:eek:) every year when he was little. What scares me the most was last year ds7 asked for a monkey:confused: WHAT goes through my kids' minds????

Umm, yeah. You have GOT to get your ds to tell us what it is because now it is driving me nuts!! The only thing I have been able to find is the same as dealluvr above. Is that they toy he got that wasn't right?
