Canon CanoScan LIDE90 2400 x 4800dpi 48bit Scanner - $59.99 - NewEgg.com
Scott replied to Scott's topic in Online Hot Deals
I believe that this one actually has a stand so that you can mount the scanner vertically. That should make it have a much smaller footprint on your desktop. I could be wrong though... my earlier version has it. Edit Found this pic of the scanner mounted vertically: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/product/250/UV/591733.jpg Of course, it is pretty silly since the user is putting the photo in upside down.... But you get the idea. -

NewEgg has the Canon CanoScan LIDE90 2400 x 4800dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner for only $59.99 with free shipping. http://c1.neweggimages.com/NeweggImage/ProductImageCompressAll200/38-111-014-04.jpg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16838111014 I have personally used the LIDE series of scanners and I love them. It is great that there is no power cord... just the USB cord. I will probably grab one of these to replace my aging LIDE scanner.

Has anyone ordered from these sites?
Scott replied to Jennifer0530's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
It looks like Season 1 has been out for a while. It could be that Warner saw that it wasn't selling very well and decided not to release the rest of the series. -

I would say that $75 is a lot of money to buy something illegal. -

Ironically, one of the sites offer this information: First of all, they aren't films per se, and they were released to the United States via some type of syndication agreement. Second, the fact that season 1 is now released officially on DVD to the U.S. would mean that they would now have to cease providing that season. By their own quotation of the standard, they are not complying with it. -

I was about to reply with the same thing. Their site makes mention that they are region free, which is a good indicator. Also, it looks like only Season 1 has been released to DVD, so there is no way that you could get all 4 seasons without it being a bootleg copy. -
Tire "Warranty" - Why I won't buy from Sears.
Scott replied to joenkims's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Math is fun! And I agree that they handled it poorly. I always look to see the terms of any extended warranty before I buy. Most of the time, they end up not being worth it. I hope that particular Sears takes notice of this and posts their tire warranty information. I'm pretty sure that our local one has. -
Tire "Warranty" - Why I won't buy from Sears.
Scott replied to joenkims's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I don't think that sears is in the wrong here at all, but they probably could have treated you better. I think that a pro-rated warranty is pretty standard in the tire industry and is almost always based on remaining tred. However.... basing it off the miles only, I get about $28.80 due. That doesn't seem too far off from what sears is offering. For those who think it should be miles based... How exactly would you expect Sears (or any other company) to handle that? What about people that have different tires for winter/summer driving? What about people who's vehicles are not aligned properly? Should Sears be responsible because they don't maintain their vehicles? What about aggressive drivers? I'm not trying to be confrontational... just pointing out the facts. Shame on Sears for not handling the situation better though. -
HOT! PlayStation 3 40GB w/ Bonus $100 Walmart.com Gift Card - $399.00
Scott replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Cool... I got mine in store on Sunday. It automatically asked the cashier to scan a gift card for me at the time of purchase. I used the card to get Guitar Hero 3. Of course, I price matched that to BestBuy who has it on sale for $74.99 this week. -

I've cleaned up the alt img tag for excluded items here since they don't let you just copy paste. Hope that helps a bit -

There is a link on the upper right of the album that says "Edit Album" Click that and it will let you change the privacy and/or delete the album.

It is of course site policy not to discuss banned members. I think that user names and any accusations should be left out of this thread. If you have any information on a particular user, please forward that information on to Brad.

Access to the lounge is still restricted even to new members. You must meet certain requirements before you can see it. As for the creation of a second account... That depends. But the short answer is that yes, a person could create a new account. However, they often get caught long before they have access to the Lounge area. Brad has a VERY good nose for figuring that out. As do a couple of the mods. I agree.... there is nothing wrong with checking out another site. I myself am a member of a couple of deal sites. Of course, I'm not nearly as active there, but occasionally I will check them out as they offer different types of deals. But to blatently tell a member of one forum that you will give them beneifits if they join you and stop posting at the other forum is just flat out wrong. The copyright thing is really touchy. You will find differing opinions there.
