  1. I've been seriously considering one of these for daily maintenance of our wood floors... we have dark wood floors and a yellow lab. Not a great mix. :)

    Batteries?????

I'm still a big fan of the new Hybrid batteries. I've had great luck with Rayovac and Sanyo Eneloop I really like the way they hold their charge when not in use... just like normal batteries. Sadly, I don't see any hybrid batteries in the ads.
  3. I would see if you could get more intel on the family. Then, you could use your elite shopping skills to get them small gifts and gift cards. Your urge to shop would be satiated, and the family would still get what they want plus some.
  4. You really have to be careful with that. Most stores will hold back the doorbuster items. Other stores will give them a special SKU so that they can't be price matched. Definitely YMMV... I wouldn't risk it.
  5. GD rocks! You do have to be careful when you are searching for just about anything that is high profile. Black friday ads, the hottest toy of the year, and other items fall under that category (think Zhu Zhu pets). There will always be people that take advantages of surges in web traffic... mainly because their sites don't stay around long all the time anyway... so quick volume is key. Surfer beware... Oh yeah... and just stay here at GottaDeal.
  6. Congratulations Enjoy Your GottaDeal Prize I hope you like it
  7. Woo Hoo! Death to InkJets! Do you want color or B&W? What is your budget? Do you need network capability? It really depends on what you use your printer for. No, most entry level laser printers... even color, will not really do photos. But then again, the consumables are MUCH cheaper on laser printers. When I need to print photos, it is much cheaper to upload them to a photo service and have them printed that way. Plus, you get a true photo, on real photo paper. Not an inkjet photo which is much more likely to fade with time.
  8. And yet not a single smiley with "Christ," "a manger," "Joseph," "Mary," "Wise Men," etc. Interesting
  9. More servers needed Brad added them just in time Site is running smooth i.e., yes...
  10. SQL error page OMG is the site down? Mods to the rescue LOL edit: SQL is pronounced See Quill
  11. Black Friday draws near Web traffic is increasing More servers added :) I crack me up
  12. Maybe they should be educated. It was first called that in Philidelphia, and it was a reference to the worst traffic day of the year. Since then, it is called Black Friday because traditionally, it is the first weekend where major retailers go in to the "black" financially. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping)#Origin_of_the_name_.22Black_Friday.22
  13. Black Friday is Near Spammers register accounts "Delete Posts as Spam" That is for Brad and the Mods...
  14. What does your water have to do with the compressor? I could see if it was the pump system that brings water to the doors, but that shouldn't affect the compressor. Can they prove that was the problem? It isn't negligence on your part, so they should honor the warranty. I would call again and press the issue. Then, I would consider getting a second estimate and seeing if you can get a private repair company to dispute the "cause."
  15. I really don't have an opinion one way or another. I think it is up to the parents. However, using that argument... Nobody should shop on Black Friday, because it could happen to anyone. Very true. You are probably much more likely to get in to a car accident and die on BF than you are to be trampled in a store. But I don't have any statistics to support that. Not to mention the other 364.25 days. :)
  16. Too bad it is being produced on a Mac... A 5 year old girl can make a webcast on a PC. I'm looking forward to another great webcast though.
  17. I vow to warn people about going off topic and keeping discussion civil. I vow to ban as many spammers as possible.
  18. It does have a small screen, but it would be fine for surfing the web. Keep in mind that it has Linux on it, and not windows. The interface will be different from windows, but it is still pretty easy to pick up.
  19. That is a common argument, but very uninformed. X actually comes from the original spelling and pronunciation of characters in the greek and other ancient languages. The X has been an abbreviation (not a replacement) for "Christ" since ancient times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas
  20. I haven't noticed this myself. I've moved it in to the Discuss GottaDeal.com forum and we will see if maybe Brad has an answer.
  21. So have you already started the letter? I'm wondering how many partners would actually provide the final copy if you requested it in writing?
