  1. True. But still a good deal for someone with a 720p/1080i set.
  2. I remember that the Matrix was one of the reasons I had to get a DVD player. Good deal for the HD-DVD trilogy.
  3. This should definitely tempt those who have recently purchased Vista laptops.
  4. Title fixed, links added. Looks like a good deal. Stay active in the forum and you will be able to post your own links soon.
  5. I would add a link for you, but I can only find it for $69.99 What brand? Do you have a part number?
  6. I'm getting that message now as well.
  7. It's that time again... I always wait for these to start going on sale before I get mine. Then, I don't feel guilty if I don't use it a lot. :)
  8. Great... Is there anywhere that can be followed?
  9. Is there any linux support at all? I'm just wondering.
  10. I got the GT this weekend. Hopefully I will get to post my thoughts about it in the tech section later this week. All I can say so far is that my intial impressions of the unit are very good.
  11. Thanks for the heads up... trust me... the updates will be on my computer before the GT arrives. :) I always make sure I downloaded the latest firmware/drivers/software before installing a new product.
  12. After seeing Ryan's support here and reading the "above and beyond" support that Ryan and AutumnWave have given in other forums, I decided to go ahead and order the GT. I love the idea that it is portable, and I will give it a through testing. :) However, I noticed that once I added tax and shipping to the Wal-Mart site, the total was considerably more. So, off I went to find a better deal for me. As luck would have it, Buy.com carries the GT for only $159.99 with free shipping! http://www.buy.com/prod/onair-gt-mobile-hdtv-receiver-dvr-for-pc/q/loc/101/202493924.html I will let you know when I get mine and perhaps do a short review in the tech forum.
  13. Ryan, Your links are fixed again. It won't be long before that won't be a problem. It looks like I'm leaning towards the GT or the Creator. I will check out the site and comparisons more later tonight. Thanks again
  14. Ryan, I fixed your link for you as a convenience to users. Thank you for offering your time to answer questions here. I'm just about set on ordering one of these, and I had a couple of quick questions. Can you give a quick rundown (or provide a link) on the differences between this GT Mobile product and the "OnAir Creator HDTV" and "OnAir Sasem HDTV" units? I like the fact that the GT is really mobile and I can take it with me. But since this will be primarily for my desktop at home, I was wondering about the other two.
  15. Thank you very much for registering to answer the question. I've been looking for just such a tuner. It is time to replace my aging Hauppauge 878 based analog card...
  16. Interesting... does that mean that this one can tune unencrypted digital cable as well?
  17. However, there isn't much choice now with a new computer. Most will come with Vista pre-installed. I'm going to have to get a copy myself to learn how to use it.
  18. My guess would be that it is USB 2.0 There aren't many Firewire and eSATA burners on the market. It is just a guess though.
  19. I don't know. I don't have either of those applications to test though.
  20. I will be testing the tablet's basic mouse functionality. I will make sure to include KompoZer in that test. I will also specifically test the sensitivity for you. I can also report back on whether or not that sensitivity is adjustable.
  21. What features do you use it for? I will try it out, but most likely in KompoZer since that is the a newer release branch of NVU since it has seen little development. KompoZer fixes several bugs that have not been addressed in NVU. I've added it to my testing list.
  22. My thoughts exactly. Of course, I will be testing this with a few programs for compatability including: Basic Mouse Functionality in: WindowsXP KompoZer (Unofficial version of NVU HTML editor) Specific Applicaton Functionality in: Gimp Paint.Net Photoshop Elements Inkscape If anyone has any other free or inexpensive applications they want tested, let me know. I will see what I can come up with. I don't have a Wacom to compare to since that is the industry standard. If anyone has one they want to donate for the cause, I would be happy to compare them.
  23. Geeks.com has the 8"x6" DigiPro graphics tablet on sale again for $39 + shipping with the coupon code GEEKTAB2. This really is a good deal since other well known tablets in the size range start at well over $100. http://www.geeks.com/imageshare/W/150x150/WP8060-unit.gif DigiPro Graphics Tablet Deal I know this one probably isn't the highest quality, but it will let me see if I will find one useful enough to spend the big bucks on a WACOM or similar tablet. This should also be great for kids or any amature photo editing buff. Once I get mine, I will be posting a review in the tech forum about it's usefulness.
  24. bah... No Easy Rider or Horse Backstreet Choppers. Still some good deals on mags though.
  25. I'm looking more for a complete MCE system. Including the tuner and some sort of remote. I could easily build one, but then there is the whole support issue.
