  1. I use it a lot if I want to make multiple quotes.
  2. I don't think you can... :)
  3. It has been there for quite some time. It is ok though. The rest of us won't hold it against you that you didn't notice until now. Not everyone is as observant as DigDoug. :) I'm sure there are a ton of features I haven't found yet.
  4. Yup. MBNA has them. I use an MBNA credit card, but I don't think I have ever used a 1 time use card from them.
  5. Netflix isn't such a great deal when you are in Germany. I have a USPS address, but it can take up to 2 weeks for mail to get here. Plus, we have free DVD rentals at the Base library.
  6. I'm considering getting one of these to use as a DVD player and gaming system for when my wife goes back to the states and I'm stuck here. I've already checked, and it is dual voltage which is a big plus. When playing DVDs, is there any problem with playing backup DVDs? My wife will be taking the DVD collection with here, but there are a couple that I would like to have around. I would be greatly appreciative is someone could test it out, or knows of a link. Thanks
  7. I still like the durability of CF over SD.
  8. I think some level of customization may be good. However, I enjoy seeing all the deals as I have contacts all over... so, if I don't have a Fry's near me for example, I use one of my contacts. :)
  9. Newegg has the Transcend 80x Secure Digital card for only $50.22 shipped after rebate. This is a great deal for those with digital cameras that are hungry for storage! Transcend 80x Secure Digital Card at NewEgg
  10. I have found that Campmor always has great prices on camping gear. I bet my wife and I order from them at least 5-10 times a year. Here is a link to their tent "hot deals." They have a couple of really good deals there. As a matter of a fact, they probably have great deals on all your camping and outdoor needs.
  11. He went with the Dell 1704FPT I think that is a great monitor at that price. I'm thinking of picking one up for the wife. :)
  12. I know that he has Sam's and Fry's. I'm not sure about CostCo. He lives in the Dallas area, so he probably has access to just about anything.
  13. I did find the following UltraSharp 1704FPT 17-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand $210.30 after 30% and $20 off $200. That isn't too bad, but I wish they had something on the 1905fp.
  14. Well... your computer's video card produces a digital video output. Standard CRTs use an analog signal to produce the picture, so video cards have to convert their signal to analog to display the image. Something like this Traditional CRT Display Digital --> Analog Now, LCDs are a "digital" display. So if you use a standard 15pin analog connection, you have to go through two separate conversions. Digital --> Analog --> Digital As you know, with each conversion, some detail is lost. Not to mention there is a slightly longer processing time. With a DVI connection, there is no conversion. So what is displayed on the monitor is a pixel perfect representation of what the video card is producing. Digital --> Digital (no conversion) I notice a much higher quality of text in general in a DVI connection. Others have reported much lower lag and ghosting using a DVI connection, but I have nothing to compare really. Besides... having a DVI connection makes the monitor future proof. It won't be long until all computers will simply come with DVI video.
  15. Ok... I posted this the other night, but with the forum outage, it was lost. I'm not sure if anyone replied or not. My Uncle's monitor died, and he is going to replace it with an LCD. I reccommended that he get a 17"-19" LCD with DVI. Now, I just need to find the best deal. It is a shame that dell doesn't have a monitor deal going currently. Are there any coming up soon? Anyway, here is what I'm looking for. 17"-19" (19" prefered) DVI 16ms response Good cable management and adjustability is also a plus. Does anyone know of any deals at the moment? Thanks.
  16. No, I would say the Linksys is one of the best. I would rank them as 1. Linksys WRT54G/GS 2. D-Link DI-624 3. Netgear 4. The rest
  17. The linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS is one of the best. The fact that there are third pary firmwares out there does make it worth significantly more than other models. If you aren't intersted in changing the firmware, the D-Link DI-624 is also a good choice.
  18. Also, make sure that you get a highspeed card. It really will cut down on the time between shots. I think that the sweetspot right now is a 512MB card. they can be had for < $40.
  19. FrozenCPU.com is the place that has it for only $14 shipping. Direct Link to Case I need some arctic epoxy still from my last deal search. :) I may order from there even though the case is actually $10 more. Just for the priciple of it all.
  20. I've found the case in several places... Shipping varies from $14 to $35! The problem with the store that ships it for $14 is that they want $10 more for the case. Ends up being a wash I guess. maybe I will just order from NewEgg and be done with it.
  21. I think I will be passing it down to the mother-in-law. It just doesn't have the cooling or power that I need to run my socket 939 A63 and Radeon x800xl.
  22. A big one is any type of drive. I use a laptop hard drive in an external enclosure that uses USB power. A usb memory key can be. As well as cameras (Digital or Webcam). But not always. Most of the time, mice and keyboards and other peripherals of that nature will be fine on non-powered hubs. The more devices you put on a hub... even if they are low power, the more drain you will put on that USB port. That is why I say 7 is a lot for bus powered. Even if you only hook up mice and keyboards, the chance that some items will not work.
  23. It looks like the Aspire X-QPACK-AL is the same case. As a matter of a fact, it comes with a little bit beefier PSU. I'm not sure how I feel about the window, but I can live with that. It seems like this one is a bit easier to find. But Newegg still wants $27.36 for shipping. I wonder what made them determine that this one costs $0.14 less to ship?
  24. Ok... I've decided that my Aria doesn't quite meet my needs, so I want to go with something just a little bit bigger. I'm looking for the Chenming MATX-118 Case. That link is to NewEgg... The bad thing is that I require APO/FPO delivery, and NewEgg charges $27.50 for that. So, I need the best deal that you guys can find that ships to APO addresses. The gauntlet has been dropped. Don't dissapoint me. Case at ChemningUSA.com with side window
  25. Brad is correct. Most hubs can be used sans power adapter if you don't put anything on them that requires a lot of power. 7 ports is a LOT for bus powerd though.
