Add me to the list for the Kindle Fire's. I'm looking to get 1 each for my mom, DD9 and DS soon to be 5. He got the leap pad for Christmas last year but since he uses an old iPhone as an iPod touch he wants something that he can do more on. I'll just pass the leap pad to DD soon to be 2.

I have started making my lists. When I hear the kids mention something I add it to my amazon cart as a way of price checking. I also use an iPhone app, Santa's Little Helper and it gets added to that as well. They will be fine-tuned over the next couple of months. My kids don't officially make their lists until TRU's Big toy book makes an appearance

I cannot wait for fall and of course the holidays!! We were in Sam's Club this weekend and they had Halloween decor out; we're due to close this week so I cannot wait to start shopping for new decorations!! We also do Christmas Club accounts and I have that money on the 1st of October. I add to that as well but try to stay around $500 per kid...

I think the idea of one being better than the other is determined solely by what one plans on using it for. Since purchasing my iPAD I am only on my laptop when doing papers for grad school. Even those I could do on the iPad but I chose not to buy the keyboard. With the rumored new Kindle Fire, I think the first model will more than likely drop in price and I can see that going for around $150.,,.

Not surprised at all...as long as stores have success with earlier opening times, other stores will follow.

Thanksgiving is ALWAYS the 4th Thursday of the month and of course Black Friday is the day after. Hth

Which phone company?? You would just need a family plan for your minutes; all phones do not need to be iPhones. Data is separate for each line; you can't share data. HTH

When we were there last summer, I saw quite a few people on their iPads...one lady in,particular was using it as her camera in Animal Kingdom! I couldnt believe it; I had mine with me for the drive down and bc I use it for work in my grad school courses. The kids had their touches, dsi's with them as well but again they were just for the ride down and for down-time in the condo.

The best bet at this point is definitely to go through Nintendo. Any other store can easily see that they never sold it based on the serial #. Might I add, that in the future all electronics need to be opened & tested as soon as they are purchased. I am the queen of opening & repackaging just because of scenarios like this....

As a 30th Birthday present to myself, I purchased the Ipad2 32 gb w/ 3g. I love it and I am constantly finding new uses for it and new apps! Wouldnt trade it for anything (except an ipad 3 when they're released).

I've been wrapping here and there when I had the time. However, since I just submitted my final paper for school, I plan on finishing up this weekend. Looking forward to being able to just enjoy next week!

Not saying its impossible but from my experience and the experience of others, reporting a lower price doesn't mean anything. Amazon will internally match prices that they want to match; not those that consumers report.
