10/13 Harbor Freight

We usually decorate the 1st weekend in December but since Thanksgiving is later this year I may do it that weekend. We have an artificial tree and I would live to score another one at least 12 feet that's reasonably priced so I can put the 9 foot we currently have in the family room....I really should have looked during the post holiday sales last year.

TRU has a deluxe version for about $80; it includes extra pieces and a lab coat I believe.

I think most stores will stay with their start times from last year...I used to leave around 7-8 to get to the stores for the midnight sales...not leaving earlier than that. Only reason I went out last year was for the 65 inch @ Sam's Club. I think DH & I left our house around 2:30am. Everything else was purchased online and then I went out for a few things later on Friday.

How about her own spa manicure/pedicure set? You could get the basic tools & emery boards in funky prints. Add some nice nail polishes, etc. Put everything in a nice holder that matches the decor in her room.

It actually depends on the stores I hit; they are all in difft towns bc I like some locations over others. TRU: Deptford, NJ Walmart: Deptford, NJ Target: Delran, NJ Sam's Club: Cinnaminson, NJ I am 10-20 minutes away from all these places.

Does preordering the Xbox one count? Because that's all I've done I have been working on lists and I'll probably really start shopping next month when my Christmas Club $ comes. It's rare for me to start before October and I am generally done by the 1st week of Dec.

All of the electronics (Kindle fires, leappad, ps3, 360, various ds's) are all still being played with. DS6 still plays with all his various cars, action figures. DD2 plays mainly with her babies and her Disney Princess little people castle. The Minnie Bowtique van also gets plenty of play.

I remember going shopping in the early 2000's and not standing in line too long outside, getting in the store and everyone helping each other. It was such a great day!! I pretty much shop online now but I do still head out for my Black Friday fix; last year it was at Sam's for the 65 inch Vizio. DH came out for the first time & we had such a great time with the other people in line. Technology has changed my shopping a little but like Kanyon said so much of the prep work is part of the official experience as well

DH, our 4 children, and my mom is who I plan for. I never know year to year if I will be exchanging gifts with my nieces/nephews although I usually try and pick up at least 1 small item for each of them. DH is the hardest and easiest; hardest because he always says he does not want anything and easiest because he always puts himself last so I usually have a list of things to pick from that he wants (but won't ask for) and/or could use.

I believe I heard a Wal-Mart commercial advertising layaway for Christmas this morning...Since those stores are starting their layaways soon, I guess that makes sense. And it's a friendly reminder to those who use the service; the earlier the better!

I can't think of much that my 4 need but these are my ideas: DS17: new Xbox One or PS4 & possibly a bigger flat screen DD10: I really don't have any ideas; she is the hardest to shop for DS6: Disney infinity, lego sets, a new book series DD almost 3: A.G. Bitty Baby, Loving Family Dollhouse & new Doc McStuffins play center; she's the easiest to shop for

While that's a good deal I don't know if I would get it unless the child asked specifically for a Kinect game. The Kinect is required for Just Dance; wouldn't want the child to have a game they couldn't use.

DS16 loves hoodies but like your nephew is extremely picky. I refuse to buy him anything that he has not expressed interest in bc it always ends up just sitting there. I buy from his list and toss in several gift cards or sometimes just plain old cash. I'm sure he would say that's his favorite gift!

They are a decent pair for kids but not so much for women.

Free shipping ended last week. That would have been the best time to get a doll since they wouldn't be on sale on Cyber Monday anyway. FWIW, I believe they run free shipping before Thanksgiving most years.
