  1. I am not oblivious to corporate greed but 6pm?? If this turns out to be true than Wal-Mart will be crossed off my list this year. I just don't see this happening...
  2. I shop in spurts usually starting in October. My goal is to have the bulk of my shopping done by the end of Black Friday weekend.
  3. I don't think I wrap super early but when I do they go back in the storage totes that I use to store all of the gifts. I hold off on bows until Christmas Eve.
  4. I would like to have a new Michael Kors bag, a new pair of winter boots (there's a North Face pair that I showed DH) and a kitchenaid stand mixer. I've recently gotten into baking in my spare time and I am dying for 1 of those
  5. I would look into the iPod touch at that age or another tablet. I think at 7 she's too old for the leappad 2, jmo. Edited to add: you've made up your mind and I think you made a good choice

It's not the actual Black Friday ad but as a Black Friday mall shopper I can attest to their sale usually being 50% off the entire store as a PP said. Considering their regular sales are better, this store always gets bypassed by me.
  7. Yes! Im still on the hunt for the doctor kit. I already have the doll.
  8. You are all very welcome!!
  9. There's new dolls out now and they are still hard to find depending on which ones you're looking for.
  10. Here ya go http://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2009/09/christmas-schedule.html?m=1
  11. I think it comes from them not wanting other stores to do last minute add-ons and/or price changes to steal sales. The last few years have seen stores releasing last minute deals and all around price wars. It's great for the consumer but stores have to game plan for all of that.
  12. As far as price matching Amazon, it's only worth my while if I can use my Target debit and still get the 5% off. I haven't read the fine print so I don't know about any exclusions that the policy may have.
  13. I'm thinking the mini iPad will go for 299 or 350...you can get an ipad2 for 399 right now so they would be sacrificing their own sales if they did that. I think 299 or 350 puts them closer to the lower priced tablets while still being able to justify the price of the regular sized iPad.
  14. I use Santa's Little Helper; I think I paid .99 for it a few years back. I can enter people, their gifts and my budget as well as put in where I purchased it, if its been wrapped. I love it!
  15. Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas
  16. I've been listening to my Christmas stations on Pandora and I just added my Christmas playlist back to my iPhone.
  17. I'll be in South Jersey and I am not expecting it to be too cold. I predict an overnight in the 40's!
  18. Video games, blu-rays, and some toys for the youngest two. Also, any things for the home that are a decent price; towels, small appliances, etc.
  19. 8 years shopping in South Jersey...those were the days of 5 am openings I officially joined the site in '07 after lurking for about 2 years... For the first few years I shopped with my BFF but since we hit difft stores, etc now we just text each other throughout the night.
  20. I just officially started my shopping! Just ordered DD2 the Doc McStuffins time for your check-up doll online @ the Disney Store. I've watched it come in and out of stock the past 2 weeks and finally just bit the bullet one gift down!!
  21. I haven't started shopping but I have started my lists for each child...we just brought our first home and I am still getting that together. I anticipate being able to start shopping the beginning of October
  22. My kids are pretty much the same as yours. Our budget is $500 per child (4 kids) and we pretty much go by what's on their list.
  23. It started today.
  24. Did your BF ever contact Samsung? If he didn't purchase an extended warranty with Best Buy that's who would handle it...we all take a chance anytime we purchase an electronic today; they are not built like they used to be. Now having said that we have a 42 inch Samsung Plasma that we have had for 5 years now and the picture is still as crisp and clear as the day we purchased it. To OP, I would start researching the tv's you are interested in as soon as you see the ads. I tend to stay away from lesser known brands but that's a personal issue. Research and due diligence always win out, IMO.
  25. Deptford & Delran, NJ....it's been these two towns for the pass 3 years now.
