That's actually one of my favorite ones I am not a fan of the Debbie Macomber movies. Last night I was watching Its The Most Wonderful Time of The Year and it was okay; I didn't finish it though. I can really only take Hallmark movies in small doses; I'm looking forward to all of the old animated specials on ABC Family.

Just the usual: blu-rays, tv seasons, video games and toys that are actually on one of my kids list.

Since I'm by myself for the most part on Black Friday, my routine is whatever I want to do usually I'll have my list narrowed down by Monday or Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. I cook for my family so I get up early but try to take a nap at some point (before I would just nap around 8-9 and then head out...). As the day goes on I check and recheck my list;I'm shopping online the entire day so my list can shorten by a great deal. Once it's finalized, I head out and I am usually home by 8am. At that point, I crash.

I have a nice cherry wood one from Big Lots. However, we use it as a typical mantel with decorative items; no electronics. I believe it is about 5 feet tall and we paid $399 for it last year sometime between Black Friday and Christmas.

IPad Mini Ebays daily deal HELP!
tyreejames replied to Deal Grabber's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
There is a camera connection kit you can buy ($29 Apple Store) that allows you to bypass the laptop and import pics and video directly to the iPad. -
You can get free shipping now until 11/26 if you spend at least $100. The code is PF39358.

I use Texas toast and my family loves it. I don't do a big breakfast on Thanksgiving though bc I cook dinner: we usually have cinnamon rolls and maybe some bacon. Christmas is our big breakfast bc we don't do a big dinner that day.

Ive also been lucky enough to be in line with others who also dislike line jumpers. Its never really a big deal outside as usually the townships have a sizable police presence but it can be a problem in store. I remember a few years back being in Walmart at a video game pallet and joining up with the others who were there early. We actually encouraged the staff to get some type of line or number system because otherwise it would have been a free for all. They ended up taking our suggestions and it was a nice orderly process where everyone got what they were there for.

I've had prime for several years now and I haven't come across too many of the add on items yet. Last week I did though (rainbow loom bands) but I just found another selection that was available. I order from them too much to consider dropping prime and needing to hit $35 for free shipping. If they increased prime to 99 it would be worth it to me. -
I am steadily making progress been picking up stocking stuffers when I come across them & I've been buying gifts when it's a price point that I'm comfortable with. Once I see TRU's Big Toy Book, I'll know exactly what I'm getting now versus waiting for more ads to hit.

I would go with anything from the Fisher Price Laugh n' Learn line. Also things that he will need as he grows; bigger size of pampers, maybe a few soppy cups, etc.

I started in 2004; prior to that I was a college student who worked retail so I never got to partake in the deals. That year I went with my best friend and a mutual friend of ours; we left about 4:30 am. First stop was Best Buy where I got dvd's and video games for my sons new xbox. Then we headed to Kay B Toys and a few other spots in the mall. For several years after that my friend and I would always meet at TRU and then head our separate ways after that. I was hooked after that first year and fondly remember the times where I left my house 1-2 in the morning to not return until noon or so Last year I only did Sam's for the 65 inch with my DH and everything else was ordered online.

Keep an eye out for buy 2 get 1 free or the buy 1 get 1 50% off at Target. And if you don't have a problem with used games check out GameStop.

Previous Years' Ads: Dates Posted, Ad Item Lists & Ad Scans

This is great! Thx Brad & the rest of the contributors...my work productivity just dropped by about 10%. -
Nintendo recently dropped the price to $299. Your best bet would be a decent bundle with games or a gift card where you could turn around and buy games. There may be some decent bundles considering it's not selling well and all the buzz this year is behind the PS4 and the Xbox One.

It usually comes out around Halloween.

I purchased a few things this week! Nothing major but it feels good to start crossing things off

More and more states are paying taxes on items from amazon so the no tax is really a your mileage may vary.....

I agree; those 3 weekends between Thanksgiving & Christmas will mean retailers pushing out deals earlier. Another thing that will be affecting sales is the gov't shutdown depending on how long it continues and if and when a lot of those workers get paid.

We got the Vizio 65 inch smart LED last Black Friday; it's in our basement between 2 windows. Depending on the time of day they both let tons of light in. It's a pretty nice set & we paid $899 for it I believe.

Not so much looking at my binder but I have people asking me about the deals, etc because they know that I know. They will also ask if a certain deal is the best or if I think they should wait. I coupon so I don't like spending more $ than I have to. I enjoy helping others save $ as well.

Chiming in as another who took advantage of the Kindle Fire lightning deal on Amazon last year. I was thrilled since I needed to get 2; I believe it were $30 off.

I preordered Xbox One for DS17; I know he will be getting Call of Duty: Ghosts for it. I will have to wait for his lists to see any other games maybe the new Battlefield.
