I see it more as being a case of supply and demand. People tend to hold out to the very end thinking prices will drop and that's not always the case.

$2162 on our 4 kids; that doesn't include our gifts to each other or family...I would probably add another 1000 to that. We both have Xmas club accounts and when I do use a cc for a perk or discount it gets paid as soon as it posts so it's all still essentially cash.

Once the kids force us to get up, I throw cinnamon rolls in the oven. Once the presents are all opened, I make French toast, eggs, bacon and sausage...however, this year I'm looking for some more things like cinnamon tolls that require minimal work from me but that will still be filling.

For ds14, I'm doing axe spray & body wash, iPod touch case, iTunes g.c. and some chapstick. I'll probably do another g.c. to GameStop or Aeropostale.

Yea just keep checking the website and popping in the store. Chat up an employee and find out what days their shipments are; they don't always know what's coming in but at least you would know what days to check. HTH

Stock on these is being replenished as they get them in. No one can give you a date or a time frame as it varies by location. Your best bet is to keep checking bestbuy.com and the stores closest to you. I'm guessing there's a reason that you have to get it from best buy...

A case, a speaker dock and maybe a screen protector. Those are what I got with my kids' touches. If you have a 5 Below near you they have tons of cute cases and they're not no names; case mate, griffin, belkin...they carry them all. HTH!

Not sure how big your son is weight wise but the max on this is like 40 lbs...just something to think about; he may not get much use out of it. My local Walmarts have it at this price too, ymmv.

Another thing is the DS lite can play old gameboy advance games, the DSI cannot. That is probably the most important feature to be aware of...

That Netbook has actually been on sale since Sunday or Monday; every time I go to the site I'm surprised that it's not out of stock yet. Especially considering how fast the Acer @ Walmart went.

Ugh! got on the site and added 2 ACER laptops to my cart, couldn't use my rewardzone certificate b/c I forgot my login and Best Buy takes forever to send an email. Said forget this, I'll use the cert on something else and went ahead with purchase. Everytime it got to the payment info, the site froze. After the third time, I closed out and pulled the site up on my iPHONE. Got right through with confimation number, now I'm just waiting for my email...keeping my fingers crossed that all went well with the order!

They could all be on vacation, they could volunteer, give to toys for tots, etc and you wouldn't know. It's amazing To me that it's so easy for people to assume the negative instead of the positive. You don't know these people and have no idea what their reality is...

There's items going on sale at midnight, some at 5am and then there's Saturday only deals. You may want to look at the ad again.
