  1. Well!! Wifey went to AC Moore last night on her way home from work..........so one of my stops is crossed off. Now I just need about 6 GC to various places and the Groban X-Mas CD and I'll be set!! Now I just have to wrap Wifey's presents.
  2. 18lb Turkey and a 14lb Ham. Good eats!!! Good eats!!!
  3. You got a great kid!!! Hope you all have a great Holiday!
  4. If it's not too much more to ask for....I'd like about 16 straight hours of sleep!!! (Yes I'm serious) It's hard for me to get a decent 4.
  5. We're getting slammed by high winds in S. Jersey and they're even posting a Friggin' Tornado Warning til 6pm in Philly! (DW will be driving home from work in the middle of it! : ) What's it like around your area? Anyone getting snow in two days??
  6. You can also get a can of roach spray to kill the proverbial bug that's shoved in his @ss!! Maybe he'll get the hint.
  7. Some of both. DS 3 is getting a Bike this year and his older brother is getting a telescope. I also have two sets of golf clubs and an easel (DD5) that'll be set up, along with The Rose Petal Cottage (DD2) and some of the accessories. As for my wife...they're wrapped. Badly, mind you....but they're wrapped.
  8. I just don't agree with the opening statement. If someone usually gives a gift to my kids @ Christmastime.........unless the person specifies it, I'll let them open it just so they can thank the person for the gift and let them see the response. I agree with pretty much everything else.
  9. Invest in some Valarian Root or Kava Kava and sneak it in his coffee...it won't perk him up or make him Mr Merry Sunshine, but it will calm his current mood. Either that or give him $75.00 in ones and send him to the strip bar with your blessing...if that doesn't put a smile on his face...nothing will. Let's see....... Meds Doctor Strip Bar Ok......I'm out of ideas.
  10. Just doing some last minute food shopping and picking up a custom gift @ AC Moore for SM, nothing major. I may even save the Food Shopping for tomorrow and hit it on my way home from work. (I work overnights and I'll be done by 8am.)
  11. M'eh.....I wouldn't wait too long.
  12. I'm guessing I don't need to answer since most of you are giving away my replies already....why stress it again?? As for the OP.....there's alot of people who suffer a depressing period during the holiday's for various reasons. If it's something recouring with each holiday, then you might need to talk with a doctor about it.
  13. Hey!!! I try and get my threads closed before there's any drama!!! But sometimes I just can't help myself! Right here!!!! OK!!!!!!!!! Stop the laughing!!!! As for me....I want an extra 2 hours in the day so I can actually get stuff done and still be able to get in a good nap before going into work!! Oh yea..........for the CC companiy to get a computer glitch and erase my account!!!
  14. And don't forget the Tylenol.
  15. I'm sorry, but did anyone else get a flashback of the cat in Christmas Vacation?? Or was it just me?? Be honest??
  16. Stores will usually not give you a hassell for a size adjustment, if it's obvious that the clothing came from that particular store. I had a similar experience @ k-mart of all places. I bought DW a couple of Joe Boxer PJ Sets from K-Mart and had to return them for size. No hassell's from the counterclerks and the girls just let me switch them out without me pulling out my reciept. DW was happy, which meant Scanner was happy!! :)

    gift dilemma

Buy her a box of candy if you're really feeling guilty about it.
  18. Go for it........or sell it on ebay and get some $$$ quickly!!
  19. Please post what happened with his response. What did he like?
  20. Gotta go with the majority and say a Wallet and a GC. Since you know about the PS2....make it a Gamestop GC and call it a day.
  21. My wife figures that stuff out. She has the kids Christmas outfits picked out by Halloween!! (Yes...I said Halloween!!!) And her's by Thanksgiving if we're going somewhere. Me...I just wear a nice pair of jeans or khakis, a dress shirt and either docksiders or sneaks.
  22. Every year.........my wife an I take out kids out to tru so they can make their "Santa List". (We usually take along the babysitter too since we have four, but back to the point at hand.) We jot down stuff on the list as we go and sometimes end up with a page and a half-to two pages with ideas from them, but only get the things that cause the greatest reaction in the store. (screaming, jumping up and down, acting like they won a zillion dollar lottery.) My ds3 is big on Thomas and Buzz, but he went absolutely berzerk over a jack-in-the-box he saw in The Imaginarium. I made sure that made the list. Also, my DD5 had close to three pages, but the sitter noted the 6-7 toys she really made a fuss over. (Hanna Montana, Electronic Drums.) Take him to TRU and tell him to make a list and most importantly.....watch his reaction as he tells you what he wants.
  23. I really don't have an opinion on the number of gifts, but I do on the dinners for X-Mas eve and Day. Since your family isn't getting the hints......make Christmas Eve a Potluck dinner and have everyone bring a dish. From what I've experienced in the past, Christmas Eve dinners are a little more informal than the big dinner on Christmas Day.
  24. Man!!! Two posts and I'm generating debates all over the place!!! (You're welcome brad) I spoke to my wife, who said she switched the stuff around to try and save us $$$ (She doesn't have the inside scoop like me :) ), with the exception being the birthstone charms. Her reason for that is she wants me to wait on them until our kids are a little older. The oldest out of four, is six and they can't keep their hands out of mommy's jewlrey box. She's lost alot of nice pieces over the past few years because litle fingers have been touching things they shouldn't and she knows if they had the chance, the charms would vanish. Maybe Mother's Day in two years. And for those who called my wife a b!tch throughout this thread, get a life. She's the sweetest person who is not the least bit selfish. She's a great mom and partner and I'm very lucky to have someone special like her by my side everyday!! The mere fact that you made that kind of judgement against her for one instance that I posted on a message board to generate a few laughs, is just disappointing, an absolute absurdity and just downright rude! Now........Before this gets any uglier and the flames start flying, I suggest one of the mods close this thread!! And.......If anyone wants to continue this......PM me, but be prepared to go to war!!!! :2up:
  25. I'll start with this one.... I originally bought two and sold one on e-bay. One in Sept and one in Oct. Don't call me a liar! And I said in my original post that I bought it over a month ago!!
