I have the middle one since last Nov and it still works perfect. Bought an Elite simply because I wanted the Black case in the living room so it matches the other electronic crap (yes I am anal that way) anyway it was brand new and I had the RROD in 30 days with it. So there is really no rhyme or reasoning to the RROD. However I would get the middle one since it has the 60 GB HD now that should be plenty of room for your ds.

My nephews are 12 and 16 and I was going to buy them a MP3 player and then a visa gift card but when we were looking at ads there mom kept saying stuff like That dsn't have enough memory or it wasn't the right brand. Anyway it made me mad so I decided to just buy what I wanted to give them and if they are ungrateful brats this will be the last year I will buy for them I will let my dh buy next time since their mom is his sister. Anyway does anyone have any ideas for this age group? They have a PS2 but I am not sure what games they already have.

WE have this tv have had it almost two years and it is a great tv. However my husband if feeling a little sick over the fact we spent a good deal more than $474 for it actually right after we bought ours they dropepd the price down to $997. So it is not JUNK!
