  1. Key ring is a smartphone app, not to be confused with a physical key ring that can be lost, stolen, damaged, etc.If you loose it, well, that is what backups are for.
  2. I had read this as well, that netflix, hulu, etc will likely be enabled, but had not read it directly confirmed yet. Will have to search more.
  3. with the app I listed "key ring" it scans about 80% of the time. There is a little button on the app that you tap if it wont scan and it tells you what to have them type in.It also gives you unlisted deals too.
  4. Last year got the 46" APEX target 1080p television for something like $499 on BF, they should be cheaper this year.... I am probably not getting another new TV until the 3D without glasses comes out at reasonable price...wonder what year that will be.
  5. Apple highly limits the apps that you can get too when you look around and notice that there are so many apps that you can get from so many places for android devices vs apple, and apple has made a $$$$ killing. I dont think this will be a big limiting factor to the fire, same with the storage. The pads dont have expandable storage either.
  6. If you are stuck in th emiddle, it sounds as if a kindle fire would fit the bill. Most of the power and abilities of all the tablets and pads, also a very able ereader, in between price.
  7. Already had DD6 asking about the xia crabs, same gimick as the hampsters. Will be hot, then she will get quickly tired and want another new one...will probably get hot by christmas time.
  8. I love using "key ring" for mine, it works great!!!! http://www.appbrain.com/app/key-ring-reward-cards/com.froogloid.kring.google.zxing.client.android
  9. Here is a sale from BB last year from a laptop with better specs than the Macbook, so that should give you a guesstimate? 2010 BF BestBuy AD - HP 15.6" Core i3 Laptop w/ 4GB, 500GB, DVD+R, WiFi - $499.99 That being said, as most people who buy a lot of PC's know, apple does not often discount it's fruit, and not much at all when it does. More often it will attach a gift card to itunes or something like that to give you a deal, but in the end get you to buy more "i" stuff.
  10. This page below has a listing of what decently powered decently priced tablets will be likely getting the newest software updates. If the tablet is on the "will probably be getting the update" list, then it is newer, more powerful and well supported. Exactly the type of tablet you would want to get in my mind. http://www.androidcentral.com/will-my-tablet-get-ice-cream-sandwich
  11. I would vote for the kindle or maybe something like a xoom tablet. There is a lot more useability and function. The ipod is either an overpriced MP3 player that can do a few games on a tiny screen, or a crippled cell phone locked into apple ecosystem that tries to get you to pay $ for itunes and cant make calls. That is my vote though.
  12. I agree with those who say it is worth it for the map updates (got my 540 TM TomTom with free traffic and maps for life), here in the Bay area, they are changing roads and doing construction all the time. Comes in handy.
  13. Some of them start posting earlier and earlier each year.
  14. buy a cheap used one from amazon. that is where I sell all my old ATT phones and it goes great for all my buyers.
  15. http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7301627&SRCCODE=COMEM802IM&cm_mmc=Email-_-Main-_-COMEM802-_-email quad core, $500, win 7, plenty of ram, fine hard drive, good video card, def better specs than the ones from office max, but you have to look at the price difference too though.
  16. http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7153023&CatId=2511 http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00317844000P?sid=I0084400010000100600&aff=Y#desc cheaper and more portable, little slower.
  17. Asus has made great motherboards for years. Lately them and MSI (another parts maker) have started selling laptops branded with their own company. Both have been doing quite well, good parts & prices for the most part. I know the MSI's even come with a standard 3 year warranty which is almost unheard of these days of paying for anything more than a year of coverage.
  18. childrens place, we get the right length and then use the elastic waistbands with internal buttons that let you make the waist superskinny.
  19. Sadly, they have come to this. It is common to go in and be just browsing so I can get my hands on a live model and hear them trying to upsell useless, unneeded, or super simple to do (i.e. backup cd) items for their computers for a way over-priced cost.
  20. Ours here were practially empty after the 50% mark downs.... 90% I wish!
  21. Amazon, but it sure is expensive, and you wont be getting it in time to put under the tree.
