It has led me to a personal epiphany: I love the camaraderie, the thrill of waiting in line on thursday night for the store to open friday morning for the chance to be the one to score the deal, and now with stores opening earlier, opening the deals online even earlier and amazon matching most of them, I feel like I got a better deal, but totally let down about the experience...

Got it all, everything I wanted showed up at sale price, and the coupon codes worked too.

People look stupid trying to read email on their wrist with a massive oversized watch and already spend too much time on their phone connected to the net, paying way way to much for an apple branded version of something people dont need in the first place is a wonderfully executed marketing campaign to part people from their $ and apple is doing a great job selling it on folks. Sams club has the $300 gift card deal with free activation on the Samsung series on it's 11/11/17 one day sale, worth thinking about. I know I am waiting to see what deal is posted on first day or two of the OnePlus 5T smartphone sale here in about 2 weeks.

Almost every week here at Sams Club a few open box specials meet that requirement you are listing. Know something will come. For those who just can't wait I have my old story for you; Went to Sam's, was browsing the open box/close out corner and came across a 55" LG 1080p marked down to $330 (this was about 4 years ago now, so big score!!!). Looked closer and it stated one of the 3 HDMI inputs was not working correctly. As this was going in the bedroom I only needed 2 (bluray and cable) so I bought it. Got it home and realized display settings for that HDMI input was set really off on color and contrast and immediately had a brand new perfect set with 3 working ports at an amazing price.

Right on att website they offer 2yr renewal as an option when you go to smartphones. Brother in law did it less than 2 weeks ago when his old phone got drowned.

AT&T does still offer 2yr contract pricing, they don't spend money advertising it, but they do continue to offer it. You can get a galaxy S5 for free with a 2 yr upgrade or an HTC A9 (brand new phone this month) for $99 with a 2 yr contract. They make more money on the "Next" program, so they are phasing out and not advertising the 2yr contracts, but they still do offer them and some phones priced lower with the 2yr contract renewal.

The PS4 may be a big ticket item, but almost every ad for stores this year has had it listed at the $299 price point, so I don't think it will be an insane fight over it. That being said, Khol's last year had a very long line, we showed up 3 hours before open (not our first stop) and were probably 50 people deep as I recall. Not a problem really as their ad is so big so many people wanting different things, but the store was packed full.
