So she could "play big girl tea party" with her friends. I bought cups and saucers at places like Goodwill & Salvation Army. I picked two colors and used these to pull the different styles together as I found pieces. I even found a teapot.

I don't know where to find a journal you can put a photo on the front of but another option is to purchase a nice photo/scrapbook album. Many of these have a place on the front for a photo. Or you could place the photo in a protective cover page, make it the first page of the book and use a nice paper stock for the following pages to be written on. This can be purchased with writing lines already printed on it. I did this for my niece's bridal shower. It was easier to handle than a journal, gave me the option of how many pages to add and in the back of the book I added some decorative pocket folders for her to keep her cards and shower keepsakes in. For my Mom's 70th bday I made a picture collage using photos from her childhood until the year of her bday. She enjoyed seeing the photos that she hadn't seen for years and all of her friends enjoyed seeing another side of her. I used a collage photo frame from WalMart, added the photos and in the blank spots on the front of the mat I added emblishments related to my Mom like a dragonfly, small flowers, the words mom, grandma, wife, etc. Have fun, I'm sure she will enjoy all you do to make her day memoriable.

I bought some Yankee Candle items, picked up a wooden valet with electrical hook-ups @ Target clearance, a spice set with 2010 expiration date, some Victoria Secret houseshoes, Aloe socks from Bath & Body, some Santa mugs from Kohls and a windchime from Joann's. I make sets, like I will put the socks with a mug and some premium cocoa or a book. The spice set with a gift card from the local grocery store.

I am trying to find some headscarves. My Grandma and Aunt used to wear them all the time in the 60-70s. They are made out of nylon, a large square, and had designs, flowers or small prints on them. Women would wrap them around their hair and tye them in a knot under their chin. They were to keep the wind from blowing their do around. My cousin's elderly mom is in a nursing home and requested some. I have searched but haven't been able to locate any. Does anyone know where to find them? Thank you!

Stopped by the Vogel Rd Arnold MO store tonight they had 90% off Christmas but there was only a 3'x3' section with items. Didn't find anything there but infront of the toy section I found a "return" cart that was being restocked from. The young man restocking said, "Go for it." In there I found 5 boxes of cute decorative ornament hangers (curled wire with a crystal bead) .39 each, 27 count Be Jolly mini ornaments - 2 boxes one silver and red the other bright color .49 each, a roll of Wraphia in shades of blue .19, pkg of gift tags in silver & blue .39. Not bad considering I just stopped in for body wash and shampoo.
