Last Monday I booed one person in each department at work. I thought it was a cute way to get everyone in the spirit. As of Friday no one had passed the boo along.

I have hundreds of multi colored lights and then wonderful bubble lights. When I was a child my favorite Aunt had bubble lights on her tree. I always knew when I had a tree of my own it would have bubble lights too.

A stuffed fabric snowman angel. He is off white with gold wings and a halo. I got him at Hallmark after Christmas about 4 years ago.

I was carrying a bowl of salad from the kitchen to dining room, caught my foot on the door frame, tripped, threw the salad & bowl up into the air. I was face down , salad was everywhere and the family was laughing their heads off. Needless to say I never carry the salad anymore.

Santa always had a special paper just for his gifts. Now that my DD is grown and has a child of her own we were talking about wrapping and I mentioned the special Santa paper. She said she never noticed. She was so excited Christmas morning she didn't notice that is wasn't the same paper as the other gifts under the tree. When I wrap I sort the gifts by families, wrap and tag them. This way even though I have a list I make sure I didn't miss anyone. I like to use bows and adornments but when I pack them to take to the family gathering they don't always travel well. My DD, SIL and DG all have different wrapping papers so I only use one tag and they know gifts in that paper are for them.

It's A Wonderful Life - every year I put it on when I decorate the tree and again when I wrap gifts. Of course, I watch it other times as well.

My DD is an only child and now that she is married I struggle to spend the same amt on my son in law as I do on her. I try to make sure I have the same number of gifts. I actually saw him gift counting the first couple years they were married. I also try to make sure I have gifts in the same category i.e. dvds, electronics, clothing, etc.. If there is something for the home I want her to have I make it to both of them. DD says I don't have to spend the same, his folks don't and I am her Mom. But I try to not hurt any feelings. How do you handle this situation?

When my DD was growing up she was an only child so I tried to make sure the things she really wanted were under the tree. No real limit just what I could afford. Now that she is married with a daughter I still don't have a limit I just try to make sure they all have the same number of gifts to open. Usually about 5 each and a couple family gifts.

Stopped last night to purchase the 2g USB that was on sale for $24, they were sold out. The guy in Electronics told me he would either give me a raincheck or a deal on a different USB. He gave me a 4g USB for $1 more than the 2g was on sale for. My DN will be very excited when he opens it for his bday.

I was at Dollar Tree this week and they had 3 packs of foam ornaments that made picture frames. You could make one for each child and put a picture of them inside. They will always know how they looked the Christmas of 2007. There were 3 differents sets so you could have a different style for each child.

I hope our store rcvs a supply of these red bags. It is very hard to bring gifts home in the white bags. Maybe the temps here in the midwest will fall soon so it will feel like we should be gearing up for BF. These 80 degree days still seem like summer.

Only once in my life have I shopped BF and I was in the store grabbed a camera for my DS and was out in less than 1/2 hour. I am an all year shopper so I am usually finished by BF. A gal I work with takes a vacation day every year for BF. Her family plots out what each wants makes a list by dept. and when the doors open they each head off in a different direction looking for the deals. Too crazy for me. And there is no way I want anyone fighting/shoving me for merchandise. But each to their own.......

Are you thinking you won't find a Wii before then or that there will be price cuts? My DD found one last month just while they were out shopping about. So keep an eye out now and maybe you won't have to wait in line. But if you do find the need to wait in line remember no price break or merchandise is worth risking your life or injury. Even if you have nothing of value with you a potential criminal wouldn't know that before they attacked you and if they found out it may provoke them to do something worse to you. Stay home and be safe until daylight- for you and your husband's future.

Wow! That is a wide area to cover. I live near the Arnold location and shop the Lindbergh, Gravois Bluff and ocassionally the Kirkwood store on the way home from work. We may be cruising the clearance deals at the same time. Happy deal finding.

The So Lindbergh store in St Louis had several of the HP Photosmart printers tonight for $12xx. Bought 2 for Christmas gifts. Girls pjs reg $14.99 clearance for $3.74. Silky material, short sleeves with long pants. The ones I bought for DG were covered with monkeys. Knit skirts in various colors $1.74 and short sleeve ts for $1.74. They had a good variety of sizes/colors available. Also, saw several swimsuits for $3.74 and school uniform pieces on the 75% off rack.

I put books in my cart last night for a Christmas exchange. It was late so I decided to finish up this morning and yikes - all the prices had been raised to $2.19. I didn't see any messages about it being a one day deal. No deal for me.
