I hate to disagree with you, but in the last two years prior to last year's disasterous sales figures, Walmart was the company which caused Best Buy to come up with secret sales of their own. Walmart is the one to watch, as they are the leading retailer of choice. As far as sales clerks knowing their product, both Best buy and circuit City did not have many veterans left, but gave us kids who don't know squat. I have caught them in out and out lies and dumbfounded by customers on countless occaisions. Savvy customers do their own research and avoid wet behind the ears clerks.

This could have been a great idea, had they allowed reward zone points in it's conceptualization.

i am always in the top 10, usually #1 and spend days out in the elements with the good people. The good people are the ones who are generally among the first 50 in line and have established themselves with the group. I always take care of these good people. The ones who show up late expect something for nothing and are not going to get the freeload express from me. These are also the ones who try to get you in trouble for selling a ticket, or when giving it to a friend, they cry foul. Selling tickets may be considered wrong, or against the law in some areas, but not in my area. I have never sold a ticket, but instead purchase the items and profit from the resale. the difference is that you never see the outcome, so it does not directly affect you and your own sense of morality. I also help out friends, family, and church members who know they can come up anytime and get a ticket for nothing.

walmart in jacksonville is closing out the phillips bluray player for $275. the walmart site says it is eligible for 5 free movies. So check you local walamrt for these 1st generation deals, unless you need a gaming console! In store only. the site still says over $600! A certain woman was beat up by other shoppers for buying up 10 laptops at the 103rd street location of Jacksonville. Why the store would allow her to purchase so many is beyond me. They followed her out to her car. The strange thing was that the laptops were not stolen. They took their anger out upon the woman who ruined their shopping experience, or should it have been the store employee? What is your opinion? I personally do not condone any violence, and am sickened by this.

They gave out tickets for these only if the supply was limited. I got a ticket for the 160 gig version, since there were less than 10 available. They were supposed to have plenty of the 320 gig. When the doors opened, I went to the hard drive section, and there were only 2 of them there. I mistakenly thought a guy next to me was reaching for the second one (he had one already), when he took off with it as well! I looked around the store and then found out that nobody remembered where they had stocked them, and found a bunch sitting on a distant shelf in a center aisle. The every man for himself mentality inside the store throws off any morality issues outside the store, in regard to tickets and fair play.

I didn't get anything but a bunch of laughs and a blue balloon! On second thought, I was able to get them to take $20 off of my bill in lieu of gift cards, as well as getting them to honor the Gamestop advertisement, since the ad runs through the second of December. I set up Wednesday night because i live over twenty miles away, and we were in town for the movie, "Enchanted". It was a late show, so i decided to make it a night since the truck was already packed.

The understatement of the year! Those porta-potties were a godsend!

It rained for 5 hours on thursday. The tents were a great way to stay comfortable. Walmart had a whole tent package with chairs, table, cooler, lantern, etc for $65. One guy was at the kmart sale and got a huge 2 room tent for $35!

We had a tent city at best buy. It took up the whole front row! Our party had two tents, a screen room and the second party had two very large tents. We cooked, camped, played cards, watched movies, and all will be back next year, as all had a great time!

A lot of people we driving by our tent city at best buy, since we were first in line there. It ended up on the news. There was a guy who took his girlfriend to show her the sights, and low and behold, it was my wife's first cousin! We now have a believer who will probably join us next year.

I would bring a friend who would get the 9PM items, since there is only one line.

Here is how it works: You get there as soon as you can, usually prior to 4pm on thursday, and stay in the line throughout the night if you are there for the 5 AM sale. There is absolutely no getting back in line from where you started, if you enter the store for the 9PM sale. You will then most likely miss out on the 17 inch deal. It will depend upon the density of the population, and the coverage the ad receives. We have two stores here, and the info i received was from their management.

No need for walmart to show their hand, best buy wins, hands down! walmart had a good deal on camping equipment. A 5 person tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 camp chairs, lantern, koosies, and cooler, all for $65! All for a best buy run. Now, if i only had that inflatable bed......

Please get off of the computer and get back to work stocking shelves!

$49 hard drive is the same price right now! Really lousy deal on that one, most people opt for larger drives these days!
