it is up to the local manager. we have some stores that do that here as well. others don't take the ad, but I think all require you to go to guest services now. -

Oh, downtown. Have you been to the City Target? I have wondered what it was like? I used to shop in that center when I worked downtown in the building above it. I haven't had much reason to be there for the last several years. -

Found them in San Dimas, I think. It might have been Azusa. Where are you? No, there weren't any left. They had one of those side kicks with all the Hello Kitty, Halo & Power Rangers in it, and I was checking those for Christmas markdowns when they were 90%, and there was a bunch of other stuff mixed in including these and Lego Friends that were regular price elsewhere and 70% off there. -

I think they were originally $1.99 when they first came out, and this store didn't carry them usuallly. -

I've been stalking these @#$%^&* things for a few weeks now. They had 2 at my closest store and 2 at another one nearby. Well, 1 of that one (with the lights) and 1 of the 13x13 size. I would have been happy with either. I directly asked someone on the team if they were going to get to sporting goods (they were marking socks) and they were sure they would not. I asked at the 2nd store and got the same answer. I had a meeting to get to, so I left and came back a couple of hours later. All gone. Marked down and bought by people on the team....Not so happy. Fortunately, I know one of the stores in my region had a couple of them and it is a funny store. Poorer community that shops more at Walmart (even though they have to drive a few miles more to get there) and often has good clearance left when everyone else is sold out. So, I trekked the extra 10 miles out there and they had 1 of the 13x13 canopies left! Yeah! Last year when we went camping we used a veil house (clearance from 3 years ago), but there was enough wind that it kept blowing too hard on it, and it wasn't really big enough for our family. So, this nice big canopy should work out well. As an added bonus they had a camping table that I could really use 1 more of, so I got that too. :-) -

They probably had a salvage buyer who would pay more for them, or Mattel wanted them back (that isn't as common, but it happens). Our stores didn't get to toys yesterday. Their hours have been cut way back, and markdown team is out the door by 10am. -

I bought them for $.58 here - 70% off, but only at 1 store. The others are still higher if they have any left. -

You should check the Red Card page, but I think so. -

Hey, if you have a Red Card, have you seen this: REDcard Extended Returns program rules (Scroll down for Target Pharmacy Rewards program rules): When you make purchases with your Target Debit Card, Target Credit Card or Target Visa Credit Card (each, a “REDcard”) at Target stores in the U.S. or Target.com, you will receive 30 additional days to return the purchases beyond the standard return policy applicable to each of the purchased items. Target reserves the right to discontinue or alter the terms of this program at any time. REDcard extended returns do not apply to the following: Target Mobile Purchases Purchases with a fixed return date Non-returnable items This is nice! I just saw the info on the Red Card page. -

Naaahh! Dont' bother. I wore them when I was in my 20s and they wrecked my feet! Now I have to wear orthotics and battle foot pain. -

I've seen this kind of thing a few times, but generally it has been when they've done inventory and found random one offs in the back room and put it out at odd discounts. Sometimes they do it with items that arrive at a local store when that store doesn't generally carry that particular SKU. I believe those are both new product, and it is possible that they got them by mistake and so clearanced them. -

I'm past caring what anyone thinks about what I buy or how much. None of their business. I hear all the people complaining about resellers and hoarders, and I just don't care. Not my business what they are doing with it. Not their business what I am doing with what I buy. I had a completely full cart of napkins at Halloween and they get me through the whole year. If I get there first, then I get to buy them. Everyone has an equal chance to get out of bed and get there on time to be first. Sometimes I win. Sometimes I lose. It is silly to get worked up about it. -

They do it every year for Christmas clearance. Some stores do the interim 50% off, but it is very common. -

Interesting thing, the Thomas stuff went 70% at all but the East Pasadena store around here. For some reason they only went 50% there. I had them in my cart for my nephew and then noticed. Bummer! -

My local store markdown team manager told me that they only have 2000 items to mark tomorrow (that is a fairly small number for them) and that is way too small for toys to be on final markdown. There may be some, and there were definitely toys in the lineup, but she said it would not be the big day. I was surprised Christmas wasn't salvaged yet too, but it will be tomorrow according to everyone there. One of my stores found a couple of repack boxes in back and I got some Nordic Ware Spatulas and whisks. I missed the NW bowls and Glad paper plates, but can't complain. -

Yep! That is my feeling. Hard to store. My kitchen space is at a premium, so they don't work for me. I can see them being nice to take a dish somewhere, though. -

It doesn't really look like bakeware, which is what confused me. It looks like a tray or basket type thing with big handles on the side. There are 2-3 sets at each of the Pasadena stores if anyone is looking in this area. I didn't care for them and left them, but they are $14.99 when you scan. http://img1.targetimg1.com/wcsstore//TargetSAS///img/p/11/28/11281241_121011143000.jpg -

Yep, never doubted what you meant. But there are only a handful of places. Can't blame them, really, or they would lose a fortune. Interesting on the costume thing. They may have either found a loophole or gotten an exception through the law. Again, makes sense since they can only make money on holiday stuff up to a point, and customers can really mess them around. -

That is true except in a handful of states that require them to do it. I think Kansas and New Jersey are among them. We have this discussion every year, so you can probably find it in the archives and determine exactly which states require them to adjust on seasonal. But they ONLY do it where the law forces them to. -

Sorry, dear, that is not accurate for seasonal clearance merchandise. You return it now, you will only get the CURRENT price, not the original price paid. That ONLY applies to seasonal stuff, like Christmas wrapping paper and anything in the mini-seasonal department that is marked down without a red clearance tag. If they mark it manually, you get what you paid.
